Wrestling Star Maxx Justice Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle While Cycling Home
Wrestling star Mike Raybeck, best known professionally as Maxx Justice and Mike Diamond, has died at the age of 63 after being struck by a vehicle while cycling home from work. The incident took place last week when Mr Raybeck was cycling near Chabot College in Hayward, California. The six-foot-five, 250lb wrestler was a prominent figure in the California wrestling scene and even competed in three matches for the WWE (then WWF). He started his career at All Pro Wrestling's (APW) Boot Camp, where he became a five-time APW Universal Champion. "All Pro Wrestling is saddened to learn about the passing of APW Original, Mike Raybeck, professionally known as Maxx Justice and Mike Diamond," APW paid tributes in a social media post. "Adopting the moniker Maxx Justice, he formed the original incarnation of the Border Patrol tag team with fellow APW alumni, Michael Modest. The pro wrestler also held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship once. Sabu wrestled his final match on April 18 in Las Vegas for GCW during WrestleMania weekend, where he defeated Joey Janela. He is said to have made his final public appearance at the Tri-State Wrestling Alliance reunion show convention last weekend. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) posted an image of Sabu on X, with the text 'In Memory of Sabu 1964 – 2025' written on it. AEW wrote in the caption: 'The wrestling world mourns the passing of Sabu. 'From barbed wire battles to unforgettable high-risk moments, Sabu gave everything to professional wrestling. 'Our thoughts are with his family, his friends and his fans.'

Raybeck, who had been with the city since March 16, 2009, lost his life in a bicycle accident near Chabot College on Friday. He was struck by a vehicle while riding home from work, where he had gone to pick up medications. "The council expressed deep sorrow over the loss, highlighting Raybeck's dedication to his work and the community.
