Fan-favorite Krispy Kreme doughnut returns for one day only. Here's what to know
Krispy Kreme is bringing back a fan-favorite doughnut — but not for long.
Chocolate glazed doughnuts return to the bakery case Monday, July 7, in time for World Chocolate Day, according to the Charlotte-based doughnut chain.
The chocolately treat was offered last year, and is back for one day only.
Chocolate lovers can find the doughnuts in-store, online and for pickup and delivery at participating Krispy Kreme shops nationwide.
'Krispy Kreme fans always anticipate we'll return our Chocolate Glazed doughnuts on World Chocolate Day, so this year we're making it extra special and extra chocolatey by adding HERSHEY'S to the glaze for the first time,' Dave Skena, chief growth officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a news release.
Chocolate glazed doughnuts first hit menus in 2017 to 'celebrate the solar eclipse,' reported. It returned in 2018 to mark World Chocolate Day, and has been offered on and off since then.
