Man seriously injured after three vehicle collision on A5

Emergency services attended the Berwyn area shortly after 11:40am following a report of a three-vehicle collision which involved a black Kawasaki ZZR motorcycle, a Swiss registered campervan and a red heavy goods vehicle. The motorcyclist was subsequently taken to hospital with serious injuries. The road remains closed whilst investigations are ongoing. Sergeant Alun Jones of the Roads Crime Unit said: 'I am urging anybody who witnessed the collision or was travelling along the A5 near to Berwyn prior to 11.40am and has dashcam footage to contact us." 'Additionally, anyone who has footage of the motorcyclist, who was travelling southbound in company with another three motorcycles, or the HGV or campervan to contact us.' More info A 19-year-old biker suffered serious injuries in a crash on the A5 in northwest Wales this afternoon (Sunday, July 13), police have said. The collision occurred around a mile north of Capel Curig in Eryri National Park. North Wales Police (NWP) were alerted at 2.38pm to reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a grey Audi Q7 and a blue Yamaha motorcycle. Wales Air Ambulance airlifted the rider to the serious trauma unit at Royal University Stoke Hospital. He remains there under treatment. The road is closed between Capel Curig, Conwy, and Bethesda, Gwynedd, for initial collision investigation work. Traffic is being officially diverted via the A470 and A55, with reports of some resulting congestion in places like Betws-y-Coed. Sgt Alun Jones of the NWP Roads Crime Unit has pledged further updates on the closure as the investigation continues. A crash in the area 15 days ago resulted in the overnight closure of the A5 through the Ogwen Valley. Sgt Jones is now appealing for the public's help in securing information about the crash. North Wales Police received an emergency call at 2:38pm alerting them to a two-vehicle collision involving a grey Audi Q7 and a blue Yamaha motorcycle on the A5 in northwest Wales this afternoon (Sunday, July 13). ‌ The rider was flown by the Wales Air Ambulance to Royal University Stoke Hospital's serious trauma unit, where he is currently receiving treatment. ‌ The A5 has been shut down between Capel Curig, Conwy, and Bethesda, Gwynedd, as preliminary investigation works take place. Motorists are being rerouted via the A470 and A55, which has led to reports of congestion, notably around Betws-y-Coed. Truro: City clean-up operation brings locals together

People in Cornwall have joined forces as part of a clean-up operation in the county's only Friday and Saturday, Business Improvement Districts (BIDS) from Truro and Newham, along with several firms, organisations, and community groups all worked to tidy and litter pick in also spent time cable-tie cutting, removing stickers, and washing signs in the city, as well as cleaning local green City Council said a total of 64 bags of rubbish were collected across the event, with around 80 people taking part. Local 'pride' A Business Improvement District (BID) scheme is described as giving firms the power to "raise funds locally to be spent locally" on improving their trading environment or trading BID Manager, Alun Jones said: "We are delighted that some of Truro's businesses and organisations gave up their time and volunteered for City Clean Richardson, BID Manager for Newham, said: "We're very grateful to all the business volunteers who have made Newham look and feel tidier and who have taken pride in their local area."Damien Richards, from the council, said: "Community litter picks are more than keeping an area clean, it is a way to bring the community together."Truro BID is planning another City Clean Up for next spring 2026.
