Products will become available nationwide in major retailers, both in stores and online later this year, with specific distribution varying by league. Champion has entered into a licensed apparel partnership with the NFL, according to a Monday press release. The collection will offer men's, women's and kids T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies, according to a spokesperson for Champion parent company Authentic Brand Group. Prices will range from $39.99 for heritage-style T-shirts to $129.99 for heavyweight reverse weave fleeces. The collection will debut later this month at Fanatics Fest, a sports and collectibles event held at the Javits Center in New York. Teams featured include the New York Giants, the New York Jets, the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles. Items will be available later this year on the Champion website, as well as in-store and online at major retailers nationwide. Specific distribution will vary by league, per the release. Champion's existing portfolio of branded league partnerships includes the NHL, Minor League Baseball and Premier League Lacrosse, per the release. Champion will expand its NHL apparel line with new additions set to debut at Fanatics Fest concurrently with the NFL line. The expanded offerings will feature T-shirt and fleece styles for teams including the New Jersey Devils, the New York Rangers and the New York Islanders, and will also be available later this year. The product assortments for both the NFL and the NHL will feature colors, logos, and archival influences unique to each team, Authentic said in the release. The company added that the apparel is designed to appeal to sports fans and fashion consumers alike. Authentic bought Champion from HanesBrands in June 2024 in a deal valued at $1.2 billion. At the time, Authentic said it intended to convert Champion into a licensed model. Ames Watson, Authentic's collegiate sports partner, facilitated the NFL licensing deal, per the release. Ames Watson took over management responsibilities for Champion in October 2024. Authentic owns more than 50 brands, including Reebok, Quiksilver, Sperry and Ted Baker. The company's combined businesses generate about $32 billion in annual retail sales, per the release. Authentic's brands have a presence in about 150 countries, with more than 13,000 freestanding stores and shop-in-shops. Ames Watson has over $2 billion in annual revenue, per the release, and owns or invests in brands including Lids, Mitchell & Ness and Ebbets Field.
