UGC NET answer key 2025 released, objection window opens
UGC NET 2025: The National Testing Agency has released the provisional answer key along with question papers and candidates' recorded responses for the University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) June 2025. Candidates who have appeared for the UGC NET June exam can check and download the provisional answer key from UGC NET answer key 2025 live updates UGC NET answer key 2025 released (HT file) Candidates who have complaints about the provisional answer key of UGC NET can raise objections up to 5 pm on July 8. To raise an objection, candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question. NTA will not consider any challenge without the processing fee. 'Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of subject experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key, the result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge. The key finalized by the Experts after the challenge will be final,' NTA said. It has advised candidates to visit the official website, for the latest updates. Ever since she first encountered the world of economics, Ludhiana's Ananaya Jain, who has secured All India Rank 1 in CUET-UG 2025, knew she wanted to explore the subject deeply. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Jain opened up about the meticulous study routine that propelled her to the top, the strategies she followed during her exam preparation, and the passion that kept her motivated through long hours of hard work. She also shared valuable insights for aspiring candidates on cracking such a competitive undergraduate entrance exam in the country. CUET UG Results 2025: Meet top performer Ananaya Jain and know her success mantra Were you expecting this result, or did it come as a surprise to you? How did you feel when you saw your name at AIR 1? Honestly, more than a surprise, it was a complete shock to see my name at the very top. I never set out to secure AIR 1. I focused on preparing for the worst-case scenarios, constantly telling myself that even if the exam turned out to be the toughest possible, I needed to get through it to ensure admission to a good college. Seeing my name at AIR 1 was an overwhelming and surreal moment. How long had you been preparing for this exam? My preparation for English began nearly three years ago. I devoted a lot of time to solving competitive exam books and used online resources to expand my vocabulary. Reading quality novels also helped me develop both my vocabulary and grammar. For other subjects, I relied primarily on NCERT textbooks. I approached every school test and exam as if I were already sitting for the entrance exam itself. I strongly believe that one should start preparing for their goals as soon as they identify them. How did you structure your study routine to achieve your aim? Did you study for long hours, or did you prefer a different approach? I never forced myself to study for excessively long hours, my maximum study time was around seven hours a day, and on regular days it was often even less. Once my board exams ended, I increased my study time, fully focusing on scoring as high as possible for Delhi University admissions. I took several mock tests to assess my preparation. Additionally, I joined an offline crash course a month before the exam, which proved invaluable. That experience made me realise that I was not as prepared as I thought, and it motivated me to improve further. Who has been your driving force and inspiration behind this success? My mother has always been my strongest pillar of support. She constantly encouraged me to chase my dreams and instilled intellectual curiosity in me from a young age. Despite being a BAMS doctor, she left her practice to raise me and my brother, dedicating herself completely to our education and well-being. Her sacrifices and belief in me inspired me to strive for excellence. CUET UG 2025 topper: Ludhiana's Ananaya Jain only candidate to score 100 percentile in 4 out of 5 subjects During your preparation, did you stay active on social media, or did you disconnect completely? I did have a social media account and remained fairly active on it. I believe staying connected with friends is important to refresh your mind. However, I always prioritised my studies. During the final month of preparation, I chose to disconnect from social media entirely, as I felt it could distract me when I needed to give my undivided attention to my studies. What were the major challenges you faced during your preparation? The final month after my board exams was especially challenging. I had already been revising the same topics for almost a year, and maintaining consistent concentration became increasingly difficult. It was tough to keep my motivation levels high every day. To cope with stress, I often turned to my family, who have always been my greatest support system. I also made time for creative outlets like Madhubani painting, practicing Kathak and watching movies to relax and recharge. What are your plans for the future? I haven't decided on a specific career yet, but I am certain about pursuing economics for higher studies. I have chosen Delhi University because it offers an excellent Economics Honours program. My immediate goal is to delve deeper into the subject, and I am confident that my future will be built around a meaningful career in economics. What message would you like to give to students preparing for CUET 2026? My advice is to start preparing as early as possible, stay regular with your studies, work hard, and remain consistent- these four elements are key to success in any competitive exam. For English, in particular, it's important to begin early, as the objective English section differs significantly from the standard Class 12 syllabus. Aspiring candidates should cultivate a habit of reading newspapers and books to strengthen their vocabulary. For other subjects, focus on thoroughly understanding NCERT textbooks, as they form the backbone of the CUET syllabus and can help secure excellent marks.

Unlike JEE or NEET, CUET UG 2025 does not have a centralised counselling process. Therefore, candidates need to apply for admission to each participating university separately. In the CUET UG information bulletin, the agency mentioned the names of 46 central universities that will accept CUET scores for undergraduate admission. Data shared by the National Testing Agency, which conducted the test, reveals that this year, 13,54,699 candidates registered for the test, of whom 10,71 ,735 appeared. Seventeen candidates have scored 100 percentile in three out of their opted subjects, 150 candidates in two and 2679 candidates in one of their opted subjects, NTA informed, without disclosing their names. Her other four opted subjects were Mathematics, Economics, Accountancy and Business Studies, in which she got the perfect NTA score. Overall, she secured 1225.93 out of a possible 1250 marks in the undergraduate entrance test. Punjab's Minister of Industry & Commerce, Investment Promotion, and NRI Affairs Sanjeev Arora congratulated her for the achievement on X. '…Ananaya is the only student in the country to score 100 percentile in 4 out of 5 subjects — a truly exceptional feat that has made all of Punjab proud. Wishing her continued success as she begins the next chapter of her academic journey,' the minister wrote. Ravneet Singh Bittu, Union Minister of State for Railway & Food Processing Industries, wrote, '…She has made Punjab and the entire nation proud by being the only candidate to score 100 percentile in four out of five subjects — a truly remarkable feat. Such brilliance and dedication among our youth are a strong reflection of New India's academic excellence. Best wishes to her for a bright future ahead.' Ananya is a commerce student at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana. She scored 98.8 per cent in her Class 12 board exam and 97 per cent in the Class 10 board exam. Her father Manav Jain is a chartered accountant and mother Neeti Jain is a homemaker. She wants to follow her elder brother's steps and pursue an Economics honours degree at the University of Delhi. 'I have a strong interest in economics. It is my favourite subject. DU provides the best student crowd and a rigorous academic environment for this course and hence I want to pursue this course there,' Ananya told HT. For CUET UG preparation, Ananya mostly relied on NCERT textbooks and practiced extensively with mock tests. She also enrolled in a crash course for a month. 17-year-old girl from Punjab gets 100 percentile in 4 of 5 CUET subjects
Seventeen-year-old Ananaya Jain from Ludhiana, Punjab, has become the only candidate to have scored 100 percentile in four out of five subjects in this year's Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET-UG), according to the National Testing Agency (NTA). While the exam does not declare a single topper due to its percentile-based scoring system, Ananaya's performance stands out among the 1.071 million students who took the test. She secured 100 percentile in mathematics, accountancy, economics, and business studies, and narrowly missed a clean sweep by scoring 99.99 percentile in English. 'I have a strong interest in economics — it's my favourite subject. Delhi University offers the best academic environment and peer group, especially in colleges like Hindu and SRCC,' said Ananaya, who also scored 98.8 per cent in her CBSE board exams, according to a Hindustan Times report. According to NTA data, 17 students scored 100 percentile in three subjects, 150 students in two, and 2,679 in one subject. Among high scorers was Arjav Jain (17) from East Delhi's Krishna Nagar, a student of Bhai Parmanand Vidya Mandir, who wants to pursue BA (Hons) Economics at Delhi University's Shri Ram College of Commerce. Purva Singh from Haryana was also among the top scorers. Candidates this year could choose up to five subjects from 37 options — including 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects, and a general test. Each subject carried 250 marks, with 40 out of 50 multiple-choice questions to be attempted. The marking scheme awarded five marks for each correct answer and deducted one mark for each incorrect answer. After reviewing objections, NTA dropped 28 questions across all subjects and sessions in the final revised answer key released on Friday.
