Former Asian Games silver medallist Lakshay Sheoran will lead India's challenge in men's trap alongside Jaswinder Singh and Zoravar Sandhu. In women's trap, Neeru, Preeti Rajak and Pragati Dubey will represent the country. In mixed team trap, Lakshay will pair with Neeru, while Sandhu will team up with Preeti. 'The squad has settled down and is training in right earnest,' said coach Vikram Chopra in a National Rifle Association of India release. 'This will be the last World Cup stage before the World Championships in Athens and it is important that things start falling into place at the right time,' he added. Mairaj Ahmad Khan pipped Anantjeet Singh Naruka 55-54 for the top spot in skeet in the second National shotgun selection trials at the Dr. Karni Singh Range, Tughlakabad, on Friday. World record holder Angad Vir Singh Bajwa overtook qualification topper Bhavtegh Singh Gill to the third place. Rituraj Bundela and Smit Singh were the others to make the final. In women's skeet, Ganemat Sekhon prevailed over Maheshwari Chauhan 53-52 after having topper qualification with 114. Parinaaz Dhaliwal reached the third spot, ahead of Mansi Raghuwanshi, Darshna Rathore and the junior champion Oshmi Shrivas. A below par third round score of 17, put Karttiki Singh Shaktawat out of the race for the final, as she missed out by two points with 106. The results: Skeet: Men: 1. Mairaj Ahmad Khan 55 (118); 2.
