Nandyal: District Collector G Raja Kumari urged the unemployed youth to utilise job opportunities by actively participating in the upcoming job mela. Speaking after unveiling the Job Mela posters during the public grievance redressal programme held at the PGRS Hall in the Collectorate on Monday, she emphasized the importance of such employment drives. On the occasion, the Collector highlighted that three job melas have already been conducted in the district, benefiting a significant number of unemployed youth. She mentioned that more employment opportunities will be facilitated in the future through the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC). A Mega Job Mela is scheduled to be held on June 5 at KJR Degree College premises in Banaganapalle constituency. The event will see participation from 15 reputed private companies such as Unicharm India Pvt. Ltd, NS Instruments, Daikin, Quest Corp, Annapurna Finance Ltd, MedPlus, RBS Transmission, Zomato, Dodla Dairy, Amity Marketing, Dixon Technologies. Hetero, Axis Bank, Shirdi Sai Electricals and Amazon. Candidates who have completed 10th class, ITI, Diploma, Intermediate, Degree, (Mechanical), are eligible to participate. The Collector appealed to all unemployed youth in the district to make the most of this opportunity. As part of its mission to open global career pathways for experienced .NET and MS SQL developers of the State, APSSDC is facilitating placements in Kallithea of Greece. Selected candidates will be offered an annual net salary of Rs 28,000 (around Rs 25.2 lakh), along with a comprehensive benefits package, including free accommodation, public insurance, social security, local transportation, and options for contract renewal by the employer. APSSDC Executive Director Manohar stated that this initiative marks a significant opportunity for skilled IT professionals of the State to pursue rewarding international careers. Candidates must be male under the age of 35 with at least five years of experience in .NET and MS SQL technologies, with strong English communication skills to satisfy the eligibility criteria. The selection process includes an English language assessment test followed by a technical assessment. While visa fees, flight charges, and medical test expenses must be borne by the candidates, the employer will provide free accommodation and other local support. Speaking as the chief guest at a mega job fair organised at Bhaskar Degree College on Friday, the MLA emphasised the potential of the district's youth and the importance of supporting their employment aspirations. On Friday, a job fair was conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), in collaboration with several companies. MLA Vijayachandra commended the youth of the region, describing them as 'royal and highly capable,' and stressed that they would excel if given the right employment opportunities. 'If your parents are unemployed at home, then you take the initiative to become employed and support them,' the MLA advised the youth. He encouraged them to take full advantage of the opportunities provided through the job fair, drawing inspiration from Indian professionals who are making their mark globally. Sharing his personal experience, MLA Vijayachandra said, 'I too started my career in a private company and rose step by step to where I am today. With dedication and commitment, you can also reach great heights.' he said. KSK Chaitanya, skill development officer said that around 102 youth have been selected by various companies and he stated that they would provide skill nurturing class and support the youth to get employment.
