Seinfeld guest star reveals why it was so 'rough' working on the hit show as she cringes
Amanda Peet has opened up about her guest appearance in Seinfeld back in the show's heyday. The actress, 57, appeared in an episode as a waitress dating the character Jerry Seinfeld in 1997. The guest slot came up during a game of 'Spill the IMDb Tea' on a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where she was promoting her current show, Your Friends and Neighbors. 'You played a waitress that went out with Jerry,' Cohen began, 'How did the episode turn out?' 'Yeah I know,' the Film Independent Spirit Award winner replied, cringing for a moment and then asking if she should rate the episode or the experience. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'That was a rough one for me,' she said of the experience of performing in front of a live studio audience. 'I had a lot of stage fright. I'm going to give it like a five. I was really scared,' the now veteran actress said with a laugh. She had difficulty rating her experience on 2001's Saving Silverman with Jason Biggs and Jack Black. Peet resorted to a high pitched sound for her answer regarding the romantic comedy about friends trying to keep their friend from marrying the wrong woman, but gave it a seven after being coached by Cohen. Regarding her time filming The Whole Nine Yard with Bruce Willis and the late Matthew Perry, Peet quickly answered 'that's a 10.' Co-guest Elizabeth Banks, 51, had her own 'scary' story. It took place while she was working on 2007's Fred Claus with Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti. 'Loved living in London, 'she said, adding, 'I met a ghost, so I'm gonna say 4.85.' Elsewhere in the episode she described more about her encounter with the spirit at the famous Pinewood Studios when she was alone. 'She grabbed me and everything!' she said of the spooky encounter. 'I had to be like, "I see you, I get it. You don't want me to sit in this bed. I will not do it anymore!"' she said, 'And I never went in that corner of the room ever again,' the Emmy nominee maintained.

Host Jimmy Fallon informed him, during the show, that he was no longer the guest with the most appearances. Shaquille heard that and was like, well, he was looking on-camera like really shocked, but more in like a funny way. He grinned at the camera and told the camera, "I've been here 18 times, but I hear I'm not a number-one person. Michael Strehan, I'm coming to you!" In a not serious, mean way, he was all in fun and boyish charm, which Shaquille O'Neal is known for. The audience and Fallon laughed, but on this mark, Shaquille took the play further by calling out another face in the crowd: Andy Cohen, the host of Watch What Happens Live, who has made 20 appearances on Fallon's show. Shaquille said with a laugh, 'Andy Cohen, I'm gonna beat you too!!' He was joking, people knew he was joking, and it was all in good fun between celebrities who relish some friendly competition. Andy Cohen shuts down rumors: The Real Housewives of New York City isn't going anywhere
The Real Housewives of New York City loyalists can all exhale—one way or the other. That's because, according to exec producer Andy Cohen , the hit Bravo franchise is not leaving anywhere. On May 13 during an appearance on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live, the 56-year-old Bravo leader quashed the swirling speculation that New York City's version of the reality show had been canceled. Setting the record straight, Cohen stated, "I don't know how else to say it, we are between seasons on the Housewives." He continued to say that the casting is already in full swing. "Last week when I was here, Bravo execs sat down with 10 possible new Real Housewives of New York. This is referred to as the casting process between seasons and it's well underway. That's why nothing has been announced." Though there were reports speculating cancellation, Cohen waved the rumors away as "really odd," reiterating that the show is merely in transition. "It just keeps going on and on. There you go," he concluded, closing down speculation. After a bumpy 13th season, Bravo took a leap of faith early in 2022 and relaunched RHONY with all-new cast members. Fans got to know Brynn Whitfield, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Ubah Hassan, and Sai De Silva, and Racquel Chevremont was going to join up for season 15. Although the reboot introduced fresh vision and cool style, the new cast drew criticism for appearing to lack natural chemistry. "I think the group dynamic is a little bit of a challenge this season. The rap on the group in Season 1 was, 'Oh, there's not a lot of history there.'" But Cohen is positive that the cast has grown. "They spend a lot of time together and they are a strong group," he said. "I believe greatly in this group of women. I think they're aspirational. I think they're entertaining to watch. I think the clothes and the access to a new New York is all we wanted it to be."

What the Heck Is Happening With ‘Real Housewives of New York City'?
Everyone needs to check up on any Real Housewives of New York City fans in their lives. They are in a likely in an existential state of confusion and crisis. The news has been all over the place this week as to whether RHONY, possibly the most iconic of the Real Housewives franchises (all due respect to original series Orange County), may be canceled. Or is it? This is not a fun cliffhanger. First the series was conspicuously missing from the list of greenlights and renewals that Bravo shared ahead of its Upfronts presentation to advertisers, leading fans to assume the polarizing reboot of the series, which aired two seasons, was scrapped. Then Page Six published a report with a so-called insider saying the show was indeed being put on ice, after 17 years on air, with no plans to save it. Things got more complicated Friday afternoon when Bravo weighed in ambiguously, with a spokesperson saying, 'Nothing is official. The show hasn't been canceled.' is happening? Nothing is official, as in the network is considering ending it? The show might pick up cameras again soon? It's just going to be in limbo for years until we forget about it? Andy Cohen: Help! When RHONY first premiered in 2008, it was instantly a Bravo classic. There was nothing their viewers loved more than following the drama-filled lives of the Big Apple's wealthiest, most dramatic housewives. It helped launched the careers of its stars, from Bethenny Frankel to Countess Luann. Despite its legacy in pop culture, the series had been suffering from poor ratings in the past few years. An insider told Page Six that while the network is taking the series off air, there may be potential in a reconfigured version of the show. 'We're trying to figure that show out,' they said. 'We want to figure it out. We think there's still life in it.' However, if the show comes back, it likely won't be with most of, if not all, the current cast, which includes Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, and more. According to the 'insider source,' many of the cast members refuse to shoot with one another due to ongoing feuds, making it difficult to continue with filming. Amid all the confusion over what the show's future is, Bravo fans are crashing out. Is this a Dorinda Medley-delusion 'pause'? A cancellation? The only thing we know for certain is confusion.

Bravo flagship Real Housewives of New York City going off the air
It's a milestone moment for Bravo: one of its flagship shows, The Real Housewives New York City, is going off the air, Page Six has learned — with no firm plans for its return. The show, which premiered in 2008, has consistently been one of the most beloved, prestigious and buzzed-about in the reality giant's schedule, and it has launched the careers of Bravo A-listers like Bethenny Frankel, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon. Only the original Housewives show, The Real Housewives of Orange County, has been around longer. Now Page Six is told that the network has decided to take RHONY off the air, with 'hopes' to reconfigure it. But it doesn't seem as if there's any great expectation that it'll be back any time soon. 'We're trying to figure that show out,' said an insider. 'We want to figure it out. We think there's still life in it.' But they warned that other shows have sat on ice for years before being revived — such as The Real Housewives of Miami, which was cancelled in 2013 and didn't return until 2021. An insider said that execs do expect RHONY to return at some point and in some form, but certainly not with all of its current cast. In 2021, Housewives honcho Andy Cohen and other brass took to bold and unprecedented decision to 'split' the show in two, airing a gut-renovated version of the 'main' show as The Real Housewives of New York City, and a second show that was to be called The Real Housewives of New York City: Legacy and would feature the 'original' cast including de Lesseps, Morgan, Bensimon and Zarin, among others. It is now safe to say that plan did not work, since both halves have gone off their air within four years. As Page Six reported at the time, the Legacy edition fell apart during contract negotiations. It eventually aired as a one-off special edition of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip series. Then the 'main' show, recast with savant Jenna Lyons, Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield, premiered in 2023. It immediately faced a crisis after cast members allegedly used racial slurs on set (something an irony since part of the reason for the dissolution of the original series was a human resources complaint about the very same slur). Since then, it has faced fluctuating ratings and cast members who refuse to shoot with each other because of on-set feuds that have spun out of control. Another original Housewives franchise, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, was paused in May 2023 over feuding co-stars Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. The show eventually continued, but was ultimately put on ice as execs worked on a plan for a reboot. Meanwhile, we're told that attempts to overhaul the New York cast have stumbled because many Big Apple women don't want to be involved. 'At this point they seen peoples marriages ruined, their kids lives ruined, their businesses ruined,' said an insider. 'It's just not a very desirable thing to sign up for.' A Bravo spokesperson said: 'Nothing is official. The show hasn't been cancelled.'
