Police finding ‘more and more' laughing gas canisters in Carlisle

POLICE in Carlisle have seen 'more and more' laughing gas canisters by the side of the road in the city. In November last year the law was changed for nitrous oxide - laughing gas - further classifying it as a Class C drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 if it is or likely to be wrongfully inhaled. Inhaling nitrous oxide while driving will impair a person's reaction times, judgement and coordination, according to police and it also can have dangerous and sometimes fatal health complications.
