Trio fire 3 rounds in public with rifle to ‘flaunt power'; held
Bhopal: Three youths were arrested for allegedly brandishing a firearm and firing shots in public places to 'flaunt their power'. The incident, which caused panic in the area, took place late at night on June 2. Police seized a 12-bore rifle, live cartridges, and a black SUV used in the incident. The total value of the seized items is estimated at Rs 20 lakh. According to Ayodhya Nagar SHO Mahesh Lillare, the trio fired three rounds — two in Minal Residency Colony and one on Ayodhya Bypass. The act was captured on CCTV footage installed in Minal Residency, which showed them opening fire. Police were alerted to the incident through social media posts. A video of the incident went viral on social media platforms. An FIR was filed against unidentified individuals, and a massive review of around 150 CCTV footages led to the identification of the vehicle without a registration plate and the suspects. SHO Lillare said that the accused were identified as Anshu Singh Gurjar, 20, a resident of Ratan Colony, Jail Road. The makers of director Bakkiyaraj Kannan 's eagerly awaited action thriller 'Benz', featuring actor Raghava Lawrence in the lead, on Wednesday announced that actor Nivin Pauly would play the antagonist's character of Walter in the film. Director Bakkiyaraj Kannan, who took to his X timeline to share the link to a character promo that the makers released on Wednesday, wrote, "Soft boy? That was yesterday. Nivin Pauly 2.0-our certified Baddie, Breaking hearts and Breaking rules & Breaking bad. Meet #Walter, @nivinofficial." The character promo which the makers released begins with sounds emanating from a room as if somebody is getting bludgeoned there. Rainfall brings respite from heat, Barmer hottest at 46.6°C
1 2 Jaipur: There was some respite from scorching heat Tuesday in various parts of the state, excluding western Rajasthan, due to showers. Barmer remained hottest in the state where a maximum temperature of 46.6 degrees Celsius was recorded. The Met office said that in the coming days, there is a possibility of showers in many places in the state. People in Jaipur woke up to a comparatively pleasant morning when a minimum temperature of 28.8 degrees Celsius was recorded. It was followed by a sultry afternoon when a maximum temperature of 40.6, almost 1.2 degrees below the normal notch, was recorded. The humidity was almost 90%, and cloudy conditions also prevailed in and around Jaipur, but it did not convert into rainfall. It was the third day of Nautapa (nine consecutive days of heat wave), yet no major rise in the maximum temperatures was witnessed. In its forecast, the Met office said that partially cloudy conditions are likely in the coming days in Jaipur.
