Network of uplift projects laid across Punjab: CM
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that a network of development projects has been laid across Punjab and the government is working on important sectors comprising health, education, infrastructure and environmental pollution. She said this during a meeting with the Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan in which Members Punjab Assembly Sardar Muhammad Asim Sher Maken and Khurram Khan Virk were also present. Matters pertaining to mutual interest, political situation, public welfare projects along with national as well as political affairs, budget and development projects were discussed in the meeting. The Chief Minister said, 'History bears witness that whenever PML-N government comes into power, all the problems and grievances of the people are redressed promptly.' She vowed, 'The journey of providing public service will be further accelerated across the province.' The CM said the price of bread in the entire province is lower as compared to other provinces. The incumbent government is resolving the problems of farmers on a priority basis, she added. The Chief Minister appreciated Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan for conducting affairs of the Punjab Assembly in a nice manner. The Speaker Punjab Assembly congratulated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for building a record number of houses under 'Apni Chhat, Apni Ghar' program. He appreciated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's initiatives for granting 'Honhaar' scholarships and laptops to the talented students across Punjab. Member Punjab Assembly Sardar Muhammad Asim Sher Maken appreciated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's vision of launching Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology project. He paid tribute to her for launching record development projects in a short span of time in the province. He acknowledged that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology project being launched in Sargodha is an example of its own. Khurram Khan Virk MPA extolled that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif by launching record development projects in the province has refreshed the memories of Quaid PML-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif. Punjab CM launches ‘Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar' programme
LAHORE: 'As many as 300 more houses are being built every day in Punjab for the homeless people,' said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif while formally inaugurating e-portal of 'Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar' Programme by pressing a button. The CM added, 'People can apply for free plots on the e-portal: She highlighted, '2000 plots will be given in 23 housing schemes in 19 districts across Punjab.' The Chief Minister said, 'Under 'Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar' Programme, homeless people will be given free 03 marla plots. Those who get plots in the draw under this programme will also get loans to construct their houses. In Phase-I of the programme free plots will be given in Jhelum, Pattoki, Mamun Kanjan, Lodhran and Renala Khurd.' 'Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar' Program: New records set for constructing houses in short span The Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said, 'Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar' programme is very close to my heart. Providing shelter to homeless people is the vision of Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, who gets very much pleased when listening about completion of houses for the homeless people.' She said, 'In a short period of 06 months, approximately 34000 houses are being built, 2000 have already been completed. These are not 34000 houses but prayers.' She flagged, 'I congratulate all those who built houses under 'Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar' programme. This programme is the easiest and 03-month grace parade has also been set for the construction of houses. Repayment of loans has also started in instalments.' She lamented, 'There are people across Punjab who do not have land to build houses. Initially, 2000 people will get free plots, for which they can apply on The Chief Minister said, 'Until today, governments have not been able to build 34000 houses even during their full tenures.' She added, 'Feeling of security comes with your own house, but unfortunately it is very difficult for a common man to easily manage a house. Under the programme, plot owners from 01 to 10 marla can apply for a loan to build their own houses.' Provincial Minister Housing Bilal Yasin explained the details of 'Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar' project. He said, 'Rs36 billion loan is being provided to build houses for 33500 people under 'Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar' Programme. CM launches bionic prosthetics

More than 300 special people from all over Punjab attended the inauguration ceremony The CM said the beneficiaries will be provided rollators, tricycles, manual, electric and motorised wheelchairs, walkers, frame mobile toilet chairs, pads, hearing aids and artificial limbs as per their needs." She said, "Punjab has become the first province in Pakistan to have the ability to rehabilitate disabled people and make their lives as active as normal people through the bionics technology." She added, "The world's most expensive and latest artificial limbs made with bionics technology have the ability to move according to the brain's signals." Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz fitted six-year-old Sohail, who had lost his arm below elbow to an electric shock, with an artificial arm developed through the technology. The artificial arm moves automatically when it receives signals from brain. The boy moved his hand for the first time after the accident, and expressed his happiness by clapping. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz shook hands with Sohail and gave him a high five. The chief minister also presided over a meeting to review the acquisition and recovery of loans under the Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar Programme of housing. In view of public interest, a proposal to include more commercial banks in the housing scheme was considered in the meeting. The participants were informed in a briefing that 28,219 families had received interest-free loans worth Rs 30 billion in five months. More than 23,500 houses are in their final stages of completion under the programme.

Who can apply for Ehsaas Apna Ghar scheme in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa?
Listen to article The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has launched its flagship housing initiative, Ehsaas Apna Ghar. Special Assistant for Housing, Dr Amjad Ali, announced that interest-free loans of up to Rs 1.5 million per person will be provided. He stated the loan is aimed at individuals with a monthly income of less than Rs 100,000, and the repayment period is 7 years, with monthly instalments of Rs 18,000. According to Dr Amjad Ali, the loan is available to those who own a plot or house of 5 marla or less. Applicants must be between 18 and 55 years of age. Previously, a record has been set with the construction of 1,806 houses under the Punjab chef minister's Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar Programme along with the recovery of loans worth Rs92.4 million. According to an official statement, more than 22,600 houses are in their final stages of completion under the scheme. Over 25,500 families have been granted loans worth more than Rs27.43 billion for building their homes. The second installment of the loans has been granted to more than 12,000 families and approval has been given for issuing 2000 additional loans. The loans are being provided for the construction of houses covering one to five marla in the urban areas.

Over 1,800 homes built under CM's initiative
A record has been set with the construction of 1,806 houses under the Punjab chef minister's Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar Programme along with the recovery of loans worth Rs92.4 million. According to an official statement, more than 22,600 houses are in their final stages of completion under the scheme. Over 25,500 families have been granted loans worth more than Rs27.43 billion for building their homes. The second installment of the loans has been granted to more than 12,000 families and approval has been given for issuing 2000 additional loans. The loans are being provided for the construction of houses covering one to five marla in the urban areas. Loans are also being provided under the programme to owners of land ranging from one to 10 marla in villages. The applications for the loans are being received online. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated regarding the progress of the housing programme, "In the past, many false promises were made with regard to building houses for citizens, but the leadership of PML-N accomplished this task successfully in a short time frame."
