Harrison Ford Talked Miley Cyrus Out of ‘Expensive' Tour Plans
While talking about her 'Something Beautiful' tour, shared an influential piece of advice she received from Harrison Ford. The singer-songwriter appeared on a segment of Apple Music 1's 'The Zane Lowe Show,' talking to the host about her visual album. She recounted the amusing exchange with Ford, revealing how the 'Indiana Jones' actor called her tour vision 'expensive.' Miley Cyrus was recently candid about how Harrison Ford thought her 'Something Beautiful' tour set idea looked 'expensive.' Cyrus's appearance on 'The Zane Lowe Show' on Wednesday gave audiences insight into her plans for the tour. During the interview, she revealed how a candid chat with Ford led her to rethink an elaborate global tour for 'Something Beautiful.' The 'Star Wars' actor offered pragmatic advice, saying Cyrus's ambitious plan 'looks expensive.' Cyrus revealed she had known Ford since her Disney days, sharing the same circles with him. While talking to him about her creative venture, Ford asked the 'Flowers' singer about her latest projects. Moments before Cyrus shared her vision, Ford had asked: 'So what are you up to? Are you in the studio making an album, or what are you doing?' Cyrus responded, 'Well, I have an idea. Actually, you know I have, like, a, I made something,' adding, 'I have a PDF on my phone I could show you.' She presented Ford with her concepts for the tour. This included a plan to perform in unique, natural settings around the world. The singer explained to Lowe, 'So I show him, and I show him my idea of 'Somewhere Beautiful,' which is performing in all the forests and you know at the you know pyramids and all these things.' Cyrus recounted Ford's direct response: 'He goes, 'Yeah you really want to go and set up in a forest and do what?' Like he's like 'What?' He's like 'You're going to bring a crew… Looks expensive.'' The 'Wrecking Ball' singer realized 'Harrison Ford made a lot of sense' and pivoted to a more cinematic approach. This offered Cyrus' fans an immersive experience with her art without the demand of a physically complex tour. Originally reported by Ishika Mishra on Reality Tea. Miley Cyrus Explains Medical Condition That Keeps Her From Touring Again
Fans have been longing to see a Miley Cyrus concert tour for some time, especially since a new wave of hits, including Grammy-winning 'Flowers,' have been released in recent years. But in a new interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Cyrus admitted that she has some physical challenges that make singing regularly a difficult prospect.'I had the Reinke's edema, which is something that is called, it's abuse of the vocal cords,' the singer explained. 'And you know, being 21 and staying up and drinking and smoking and partying after every show does not help, but also in my case it does not cause it.'Cyrus has a distinctive and rich voice, which she partially attributes to this 'unique anatomy.' 'I have this very large polyp on my vocal cord which is giving me a lot of the tone and the texture that has made me who I am, but it's extremely difficult to perform with because it's like running a marathon with ankle weights on,' she added, saying she has decided not to have the polyp removed because 'the chance of waking up from a surgery and not sounding like myself is a probability.' And that's not what Cyrus wants as a singer. 'It creates that, like, ultimate vocal fry, and so I do have this blessing of a condition that I live with,' she said. 'My voice is super unique because of it.' To tour globally would be a delicate balancing act for the star, as it has to be done 'in a way that is sustainable,' allowing her to sing without it being too 'taxing.' Cyrus does not choose to lip-synch at shows, but if she doesn't do a certain number of concerts, a tour won't 'mathematically make sense,' since tickets need to cover the cost of her crew and other expenses.

Hey Neighbour Festival waves goodbye to Friday, trims down to two days
Hey Neighbour Festival also announced that US R&B singer Leon Thomas would perform on Sunday, its second day. This year's edition of Hey Neighbour will be two days instead of the initial three days. Picture: heyneighbourfest/Instagram On Monday, Hey Neighbour Festival made a double announcement: this year's edition will be two days instead of the initial three days. 'We're switching from a three-day festival to two jam-packed days,' read the brief statement on Monday. This means the festival will now take place over the weekend of August 30th and 31st, removing Friday, which was initially the first day of the event. 'All ticket holders have been emailed with options on how to proceed,' expressed the statement on Hey Neighbour social media platforms. Hey Neighbour is a music festival organised by Glen 21 Entertainment. The festival first took place in 2023, with Kendrick Lamar headlining the second day. Singer-songwriter Khalid performed on the first day, and US singer H.E.R. closed the festival on Sunday, the final day. Without any communication, the festival wasn't hosted in 2024. The festival announced its 2025 return at the end of 2024, where organisers also released the first batch of tickets. Before the year ended, the festival shared that the tickets had already sold out. In March, Hey Neighbour announced Doja Cat as the headline act for the second instalment. She will perform on Saturday, Day 1 of the event. This will be Doja Cat's first time performing in South Africa, and the refrain about her coming home is because her biological father, an actor, Dumisani Dlamini, is from the country. Doja has previously spoken about visiting South Africa, suggesting that the country is too far for her. 'I still haven't [been]. I rely on my career to just throw me out to places. I don't find pockets of time in my life. I can fly, but I don't like flying, especially long flights like that,' said Doja Cat in an interview with US broadcaster Ebro Darden on his Apple Music 1 show in 2024. Harrison Ford Talked Miley Cyrus Out of Touring New Album Because Her Vision Was Too Expensive
Miley Cyrus revealed earlier this week that Harrison Ford, of all people, talked her out of staging a non-stadium tour of her upcoming visual album 'Something Beautiful.' The singer told Zane Lowe on Wednesday that she's known the 'Indiana Jones' star 'for quite a while' and has 'been in the same circles,' such as both being Disney Legends. 'So I show him my idea of 'Somewhere Beautiful,' which is performing in all the forests and at the pyramids and all these things,' Cyrus said on the Apple Music 1 show, explaining she wanted 'intimate places that are filled with beauty' like 'a 'cathedral in the middle of a forest.' The no-nonsense veteran actor's reaction? He told her, 'Looks expensive.' She recalled him asking practical questions like, 'You really want to go and set up in a forest and do what? You going to bring a crew?' 'I came back to the trailer, I was like, 'Guys, we're not performing in the forest anymore. Harrison Ford made a lot of sense,'' she said. Watch the full interview below: Fans can still see 'Something Beautiful' in theaters beginning May 30. 'I'm putting it into theaters because it's something you can watch night after night after night and you get to discover and you get to feel like you're a part of a performance but I don't have to tax myself in that way,' she told Lowe. Ford currently stars in western series '1923' on Paramount+ and will return with the rest of the cast of 'Shrinking,' which was recently renewed for Season 3. Miley Cyrus opens up about sobriety and how it's changed her life: 'That is like my God'
Singer Miley Cyrus has made some significant lifestyle changes over the years – she quit drinking in 2020 and said this choice positively impacted her life. In a May 21 interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1, Miley got candid about her sobriety journey and credited sobriety with changing her life, stating it's 'like her God' and something she 'needs' and 'lives for'. Also read | Considering Dry January? Tom Holland says sobriety changed his life: 'You'll never wake up and wish you had a drink' She said: 'The sobriety is like, that's like my God. I need it, I live for it. I mean that it's changed my entire life.' The singer also reflected on briefly drinking again during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown before quitting for good, and said, 'I know I needed to fall one more time. And I just, I had to. It just never would have happened this way. I just never would have been sitting here.' In November 2020, Miley had discussed why she had chosen sobriety for herself in another interview with Zane Lowe, and said it was a personal choice as she knew she wasn't 'a moderation person' and needed to quit drinking alcohol completely. She had said: 'I don't think that everyone has to be sober, everyone has to do what's best for them... I don't have a problem with drinking, I have a problem with the decisions I make once I go past (a certain) level... I've just been wanting to wake up 100 percent, 100 percent of the time.' To maintain sobriety, people are encouraged to recognise the negative impacts of drinking, identify triggers, and find enjoyable alternatives. Click here to know more.
