Teacher at Kaukauna Catholic school accused of child sex crimes now facing 30 charges, pleads not guilty
APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – A with seven counts of sexual exploitation of a child and seven counts of child pornography is now facing an additional 16 counts concerning the case. Court records show that 30-year-old Robert Killoren, whose address is now listed in Shiocton, was charged with 10 additional counts of child pornography possession and another six counts of child sexual exploitation. Wisconsin officers find drugs, guns in bag labeled 'Definitely Not a Bag Full of Drugs' Killoren was initially arrested in late April 2025 by the Appleton Police Department. St. Ignatius Catholic School put out a release following the arrest, stating that Killoren was 'immediately placed on administrative leave.' The total charges are listed below: 13 Counts: Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Class C Felony Up to 40 years in prison and/or $100,000 in fines per charge $500 for each image associated with the crime 17 Counts: Possession of Child Pornography Up to 25 years in prison and/or $100,000 in fines per charge $500 for each image associated with the crime Victims in Wisconsin double homicide identified as a state patrol director, wife; son named as suspect Killoren still faces the original charges as well, and in a hearing on July 10, he pleaded not guilty while in court for his arraignment, with a status conference set for September 12 at 9:30 a.m. Local 5 will update this story as the case progresses. Appleton Police Department looking for missing man, last seen on May 28
APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Appleton Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a missing man who was last seen on Wednesday, May 28. Officers say that Donovan Xiong was last seen in the 900 block of North Bay Ridge Road in Appleton around 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Xiong was last seen wearing a green T-shirt, jeans, black shoes, and possibly a jacket. Packers honor Wisconsin law enforcement officers with Protect & Serve Award Officers noted that it is out of character for Xiong to be out of contact with family and that he does not drive a vehicle. In a social post made on what is the first day of May, troopers with the Wisconsin State Patrol say that if a driver finds themselves in trouble or having a 'May-Day (mayday),' then they will be there to help. Hoot-dini escapes catastrophe, rescued by the Appleton Police Department following collision
APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Officers with the Appleton Police Department say they rescued and safely took an owl that was hit by a vehicle to a wildlife rescue. Two tickets split third-largest Badger 5 jackpot in game's history; one in Sturgeon Bay According to a post on social media, Hoot-dini, as the department named him, narrowly avoided catastrophe after colliding with a vehicle. Officers say this incident 'wasn't his final curtain call' as they reported being able to safely remove the owl from the scene and take him to a wildlife rescue. Hoot-dini is now resting and recovering at the wildlife rescue, where he is said to be 'likely planning his next great vanishing act – back into the wild to hoot another day.' Xaiver High School appoints new principal, will start July 1
APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Administrators with Xavier High School announced on Tuesday the appointment of a new principal. In a release, William Welch was announced as the new principal for Xavier High School. The newly appointed principal comes after former principal, . Welch is said to have nine years of experience as a physics/science teacher, learning coach, athletic coach, and school leader in education. Appleton Police Department asks for public's help in combating reckless motorcycle riding He is currently serving as the Associate Principal of Williams Bay Middle/High School near Lake Geneva. Welch's experiences in collaborative teamwork, restorative practices, relationship-building, career and technical education, work-based learning, continuous improvement, data-focused learning, and collective ownership and responsibility for the learning success of all students are expected to help Xavier High School thrive. Mr. Welch shares a deep understanding of the role faith plays in Catholic education, and we are excited about the future of Xavier High School and the positive impact he will have on students, families, faculty, and staff.
