Chicago police seek 3 suspects in South Chicago armed robberies

Police are looking for a group of men who they said robbed multiple people at gunpoint in the South Chicago neighborhood this month. The robberies happened during the morning and afternoon hours between July 18 and July 26. Chicago police said three people would approach the victims, display handguns, and take their belongings before fleeing either on foot or in a dark-in-color four-door sedan. Woman killed, man hurt in drive-by shooting in Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood

A woman is dead and a man was taken to the hospital after a drive-by shooting overnight on the city's South Side. It happened just before 1 a.m. Saturday in the 7500 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood. Chicago police said officers responded to a report of a person shot and found a man, whose age was not released, and a 37-year-old woman in an alley who were hit by gunfire. The woman was hit multiple times in the abdomen and died at the scene. The man was hit once in the knee and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition. As of Saturday, no one is in custody. Area 2 detectives are investigating.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the right thigh and is in good condition The Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest of the individuals involved. The public is reminded not to attempt to confront or apprehend suspects, as they should be considered armed and dangerous. A 51-year-old man was killed early Monday morning in a drive-by shooting on the city's South Side.
