Aritzia expands US presence with new boutique at Legacy Place in Massachusetts

Canadian apparel brand Aritzia has opened its latest U.S. boutique at Legacy Place Mall in Dedham, Massachusetts. The new store marks Aritzia's third location in the state, further cementing its ongoing commitment to expansion in Massachusetts and across the U.S. market. The store features the brand's signature aesthetic characterized by curated artwork, 20th-century European furniture, and a state-of-the-art atelier area. Guests can also enjoy personalized service from Aritzia's Style Advisors. It houses Aritzia's portfolio of exclusive brands, including Wilfred, Babaton, Golden, Tna, The Super Puff and Sunday Best. Earlier this month, the Vancouver-based retailer announced a 33% increase in net revenue, for the first quarter ended June 1. Notably, in the United States, net revenue surged by 45.1% to $413 million, compared to $284.7 million in Q1 2025. Founded in Vancouver in 1984, Aritzia now operates more than 130 boutiques across North America and an e-commerce platform. Just last year, it opened its second location in Massachusetts at Burlington Mall.

Effortless travel style starts with these Aritzia picks

Elevate your next packing list with four of Aritzia's chic, packable essentials. Travel is all about finding that sweet spot—where comfort meets practicality, and style sneaks in at just the right moment. The perfect travel wardrobe isn't just about packing light, it's about choosing pieces that effortlessly transition from the chaos of the airport to the charm of city streets, and even to a cozy candlelit dinner. Aritzia, the master behind elevated luxury essentials, makes this balancing act a whole lot easier with a lineup of timeless staples that simplify packing without sacrificing style. After three months of nonstop travel this year—from the crisp chill of Norway's winter to the vibrant hum of Mexico City—there are a few Aritzia pieces that have become permanent residents in my suitcase. And as I start daydreaming about my next adventure, I've already got my eye on a few new vacation-ready picks. First up, the Cozy Sweatfleece Mega Reglan Sweatshirt—your new best friend at the airport, and beyond. We all know flight cabins can feel like an icebox, but this ultra-soft fleece keeps you warm with the most perfect relaxed, oversized fit. Whether you're wearing it with leggings during the flight or tossing it over your shoulders with jeans once you land, it's the perfect transitional layering piece. I'm in love with my 'tart pink' color, which will carry me through every season. For that effortless, put-together vibe, I've been loving it paired with the matching Cozy Sweatfleece Mega Straight Sweatpant—monochrome never looked this good (or comfy). The Shawl Merino Wool Jacket is every traveler's answer to unpredictable climates. It's light enough to carry with ease but warm enough to fend off the evening chill. With its clean lines and draped silhouette, it's a timeless pick. More robe than jacket (and I'm all for it), this open-front cardigan features patch pockets and side slits. Whether you're layering it over a cashmere sweater for a day of exploration or cinching it at the waist for a spontaneous dinner, this coat is a must-have. Plus, it's the perfect airport staple, seamlessly bridging temperature changes as you hop from one destination to the next. No travel wardrobe is truly complete without the Effortless Pant—aptly named for its ability to elevate any outfit with virtually no effort. With its fluid tailoring, high-rise fit, and drapey fabric, it creates the perfect silhouette. Now that I've finally tried a pair, they've earned a permanent spot in my suitcase. Pair them with sneakers and a fitted tee for a laid-back daytime look, then swap in a silk cami and wrap sandals for a dinner out. What they say is true—these are an absolute must-have. The 80s Comfy Denim Shirt is a quiet powerhouse of versatility. I've always traveled with a classic denim shirt since my study abroad days, and this one is the best I've tried. Wear it open over a tank and biker shorts for a relaxed sightseeing look, or button it up and tuck it into tailored trousers for a more sophisticated spin. Its adaptability knows no limits, making it a true travel essential. Think of it as the equivalent of a well-stamped passport—effortlessly moving between different worlds. Now, I'm eyeing it in white for my bridal for my bachelorette party and destination wedding, when the time comes. With my love for travel wardrobe essentials, Aritzia's latest Vacation Edit has definitely caught my eye. The collection features lightweight pieces made for those moments when you'd rather leave your phone behind and be soaking up the sun instead. You can never go wrong with a perfect pair of wide-leg, white linen pants and a relaxed linen maxi that can take you from sightseeing to poolside lounging. Both are now at the top of my vacation packing list for upcoming getaways. Whether you're planning a beach escape or a city escape, these pieces will keep you stylish and effortless all the way through. Stay tuned for more travel-inspired finds! Shop Aritzia's essentials.

I've tried 100s of summer dresses — here are 7 I'm wearing on repeat

There is nothing I own more of, wear more frequently or feel my best in than a summer dress. Between May and September, you will rarely see me donning anything other than a sundress. I own more than I (and my bank account) would like to admit, but in my defence — I wear the heck out of them. Because I'm an absolute sucker for a summer dress (they're a need, not a want!), I've gone ahead and shared the maxi, midi, and mini dresses I have been wearing on repeat this summer. From wedding guest-friendly frocks to breezy, heat wave-friendly looks, these are my editor-approved dresses for summer. FRNCH Pauline Afternoon Tea Dress There is very little I don't like about this chic FRNCH Pauline Afternoon Tea Dress from Simons. It's so easy to dress up or down and it pairs well with sneakers, sandals and heels. The one thing I'll note is that I wish I had sized down. I wear size six and ordered the dress in a medium. It's not overwhelmingly large, but it would have fit better as a small. $70 $205 at Simons Babaton Fluid Dress I know I'm biased, but I think the Babaton Fluid Dress is so, so, so chic. It has a contour bodice and a fit-and-flare skirt made from 100 per cent cotton poplin that I find so flattering. I wear this dress on repeat and will likely sport it for years to come thanks to its timeless design. I ordered a size medium and it fits true to size. $138 at Aritzia Twik Lace Trim Floral Dress This floral midi dress has become one of my most-worn styles when the temperatures hit 30°C and above — which, considering what a sweltering summer it has been, has been quite often. You can wear it with or without a bra (which I love), and it doesn't wrinkle, so it's a great choice for those of us who hate ironing. I ordered it in a medium and it fits true to size. $69 at Simons Wilfred Marmion Linen Dress My brother is getting married in August, and thus, I have tried on my fair share of wedding guest dresses. Although I didn't end up choosing the Marmion Linen Dress, I still think it's a chic pick for a summer wedding. It's made from breathable 100 per cent organic linen with an off-the-shoulder ruffled neckline. I'm wearing it in cognac, but it comes in four other colours. I ordered it in a size six, but I could have sized down. From $101 at Aritzia Reformation Balia Linen Dress If you're in the market for a va-va-voom dress, Reformation's Balia Linen Dress is it. It gives waist. It gives bust. It snatches and it conceals. I've worn it on dates, nights out and even to the office. This is your wear-everywhere dress of summer 2025. I have a size six and it fits true to size. $398 at Reformation Wilfred Priscilla Dress Please ignore my snail-like installation of my peel-and-stick wallpaper and instead focus on the star at hand: Wilfred's Priscilla mini dress. I am truly and utterly obsessed with this polka dot mini. It's made from a lightweight, semi-sheer fabric that is both ultra flattering and comfortable. My polka dot print is almost sold out, but Aritzia shoppers can still grab it in a few more colours (but hurry!). I ordered a size medium and it fits true to size. From $83 at Aritzia Twik Tie-Strap Tiered Dress I love how girlie this pink maxi dress is. I ordered a medium, which fits my size six frame perfectly. If you don't like wearing bras during the summer, you can get away without wearing one in this dress, too. $89 at Simons

Aritzia is having a breakout year — here's why the women's fashion boutique is on a growth spurt

Watch out, Lululemon: Another Vancouver-based apparel maker is making a play for US shoppers. Aritzia, the everyday luxury womenswear retailer, has steadily gained ground and grown sales over the past several years with its assortment of stylish activewear and comfortable office wear. The company said in July that it grew its retail footprint by 25% over the last year, including opening 13 stores and redesigning three existing ones. The expansion helped drive retail sales up 34% year over year last quarter. "We've done a lot of work over the past 1 1/2 years, two years to refine our playbook and ensure that our inventory is productive and efficient. And I think we're in a fantastic place right now, very well-positioned," CEO Jennifer Wong said in an earnings call. The results appear to be delivering on some ambitious goals Wong laid out last year as Aritzia's US expansion was heating up. Wong was not immediately available for an interview with Business Insider, but she detailed her strategy in several interviews with other outlets. "We're tackling all the major cities where we know our brand and product resonates with the customer," she told Vogue Business last November. "The next step is to fill in the rest of the country." Founded in 1984 in Vancouver, Aritzia saw steady growth in Canada before entering the US in 2007. The company saw a bumper year in 2020, followed by some pandemic-era challenges, and has since tripled sales to more than CAD$2.7 billion last year. Wong has been with the company since its early days, rising through the ranks to eventually take over the helm from founder Brian Hill in 2022. She soon doubled the rate of store openings, helping to extend the momentum of the return-to-office era. "We experienced some explosive growth coming out of Covid," she said. "There was pent-up demand and a whole new energy. That really accelerated our business in the US, and we became more well known than ever. We've been really riding that momentum since." There are 68 locations in Canada and 63 in the US, and the company says it could see the US figure grow to more than 150 over the next few years, not to mention its growing e-commerce operation. Four of those locations will open in the next few months in the Boston area, Miami, Salt Lake City, and Raleigh, North Carolina. While Aritzia's stores have drawn some derision on TikTok for their mirrorless (and sometimes crowded) dressing rooms, its high-touch "style advisor" sales approach harkens back to the kind of personalized shopping experience offered at luxury department stores like Bergdorf Goodman. Of course, it's the clothing that ultimately makes or breaks the sale for fashion brands, and Aritzia appears to be delivering good value for its customers. In terms of style and substance, BI's reviews team called Aritzia's apparel " as timeless and elegant as it is trendy and modern" and said the quality is "undisputed." Price-wise, analysts at Jefferies looked at comparable products from nine peer retailers and found Aritzia to be a cut above the mid-tier but a step below the highest-priced brands. In other words, it is more expensive than Lululemon and J. Crew but less pricey than Anthropologie and Madewell. In addition, Aritiza's prices are less frequently marked down than some competitors. The Jefferies analysts suggested that the relative pricing and demand for Aritzia products give the company more room to grow in sales and profits, propelling its expansion. From its merchandise to stores to tech, it appears Aritzia is getting a lot of retail fundamentals right — and reaping the rewards. "It's not any one of those things, but it's all of these things that come together and how we've been able to execute well over the years on all of it," Wong told the Business of Fashion in January. "When I say we want to be excellent at everything, that's really what's in our minds."
