Virat, Anushka are soulmates incomplete without each other: IPL photographer

Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final was iconic in many ways. However, for photojournalist Arun Sharma, what made the day complete was Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's bond. Sharing a series of images of the couple's happy moments, he called them soulmates, who never left each other's side after the big win in 18 some photos of the couple after RCB's win, photojournalist Arun Sharma stated that he had covered countless matches where he not just captured wins and losses but the raw emotions and memorable moments. He mentioned that his eyes were drawn towards Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma during the celebration at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 4. Photo credit: Instagram/arunsharmaht "It was during the RCB celebration of a final IPL match the stadium was alive with cheers, lights flashing, people rejoicing. But amidst the chaos, my eyes were drawn to just two faces," he began his note on Sharma wrote that Virat and Anushka looked like two children. "It felt like I was watching two little children playing together in the middle of that huge stadium. They wanted to greet everyone, pose for pictures, be part of the moment - but never drift away from each other's sight. If one of them moved even slightly away, the other would stop everything just to look for them (sic)," he added. Calling them soulmates, the photographer wrote, "In that moment, they didn't seem like just a married couple. They looked like two soulmates - incomplete without each other (sic)." Photo credit: Instagram/arunsharmaht The photographer said that their moments were imprinted on his heart. He also recalled the couple during the finals of Champions Trophy. "It reminded me of something I had felt once before, during the final of the Champions Trophy in Dubai. They were together then too — calm, grounded, but surrounded by a quiet, deep connection. A bond that silently said, 'I exist because you're there." (sic)," he wholesome moment of the couple was when Kohli kept looking for Anushka, waiting for her as she walked down the stands. The two embraced each other, and she cheered the cricketer as he got emotional. Later, the two clicked photos with the trophy and Kohli dedicated the win to Challengers Bengaluru won their first-ever IPL title in 18 years on June 4. Heat returns as rain recedes, Indore sizzles at 38.7C

Indore: After weeks of relatively pleasant weather, the summer heat made a strong comeback in Indore. On Sunday, temperatures soared to a maximum of 38.7 degrees Celsius, leaving residents sweltering and dashing hopes for an early onset of the southwest monsoon. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The minimum temperature recorded was 23.4 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal, while humidity fluctuated from 73% in the morning to 27% by late afternoon. Winds blew from the west-northwest at speeds of up to 33 kmph. Rainfall over the past 24 hours was minimal, with just 0.5 mm recorded, keeping the seasonal total at 10.3 mm. Adding to the current heat concerns, the meteorological department ruled out any immediate respite. Unseasonal rain in May brought brief relief, but ironically, June — typically a rain-bearing month — saw a sharp escalation in heat and humidity. On Sunday, relentless sunshine and sticky conditions left residents distressed. According to weather scientists, the discomfort is likely to continue for at least a week, with no significant change in the current weather pattern. Indore's monsoon is now projected to arrive only after June 15. Across the region, other cities also witnessed a sharp rise in temperatures. Ujjain recorded the highest at 41.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Ratlam (40.2°C), Khandwa (39.1°C), Khargone (39.0°C) and Dhar (38.5°C). IMD Bhopal scientist Arun Sharma said, "Monsoon remains stalled over Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, with no forward movement expected in the next 3–4 days. The current synoptic conditions suggest dry weather will prevail in most of Madhya Pradesh, though isolated showers may occur in the extreme southwest and eastern parts." Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Earlier unseasonal rainfall and hailstorms, along with early monsoon onset over southern parts of India, led to speculation of an early monsoon, but that proved to be misleading. Although this year's monsoon arrival is still earlier than last year's June 23 onset, it is now clear that Indore will have to wait until at least June 15. Despite the heat, humidity levels suggest potential for rain in the coming days. However, no active weather systems are currently influencing the region, making a significant change unlikely in the immediate future.
