Meghan Markle Shares a Peek at Her Off-Duty Garden Look: $900 Slides and Her Go-To Summer Pedicure
Meghan Markle shared a new photo to the Instagram page to As ever showing her "garden haul" as well as her summer sandals with go-to pedicure The Duchess of Sussex previously revealed the two nail polishes she uses to achieve her pink color Meghan recently said in an interview about her lifestyle brand, "Everything comes from being rooted in the love story of your home and garden"Meghan Markle is starting off summer with some fresh finds from the garden — plus some seasonal shoes. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared a new photo on the Instagram page for her lifestyle brand, As ever, on May 28. The snap showed a view from above, looking down on a basket of vegetables including carrots, peppers and corn. Mia, one of the family's dogs, poked her snout into the basket to check it out, providing the inspiration for the post's caption. "The unofficial quality inspector of this morning's garden haul," she wrote. This isn't the first time Mia, a beagle that Meghan and Prince Harry adopted in 2022, has appeared on As ever's social media. The pup also starred in the brand's first post on Feb. 18, the back of her head made a cameo in the photo, which showed the Duchess of Sussex drizzling honey over a croissant. The latest image also showed a glimpse of Meghan's summer pedicure, seemingly keeping with one of her favorite nail color combinations. She recently revealed that she achieves her light pink shade by applying one coat each of CND Shellac in Romantique and Satin Slippers. Her nails peeked out of Loro Piana's summer charms suede slides. The sandals, which retail for $920, are described by the brand as "timeless in their simplicity," "crafted from exceptionally soft suede." In the season finale episode of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, which dropped on May 27, Meghan chatted with Sara Blakely, who became a billionaire after creating Spanx, about money. The Duchess of Sussex said, "But that is so hard to understand because, I genuinely believe, I would love to adopt that level of a mindset where as you're talking about even, for a lot of people, not being able to buy into the hope or the promise of something more for themselves in financial freedom." 'I think so many women, especially, we're taught to not even talk about money, and there's lots of guilt mentality surrounding having a lot,' she continued. 'And at the same time, there's a scarcity mindset that it's easy to attach to, of like, 'I'll never have enough.' Gardening has been a theme of Meghan's Instagram presence, and she recently told Fast Company about the future of her lifestyle brand being "rooted in the love story of your home and garden." "My heart is very deeply in my home,' she said in the new interview published on May 27. "Everything comes from being rooted in the love story of your home and garden, and then you can imagine different verticals coming out of that." Read the original article on People

Meghan Markle Shares Her No. 1 Rule for Baby Names: 'I Will Say This to Every Woman in the World'
Meghan Markle revealed her advice when it comes to choosing a baby name during the season finale episode of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder The Duchess of Sussex has previously spoken about the name meanings for her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Meghan also compared it to naming a business, after changing her brand's name from American Riviera Orchard to As everMeghan Markle has some wise advice for parents-to-be. In the season finale episode of her Lemonada Media podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, which dropped on May 27, the Duchess of Sussex hosted Spanx founder Sara Blakely in a conversation about navigating motherhood and launching a business. Meghan, 43, compared starting a brand to a "SurveyMonkey" due to the pressure to get "everyone's approval." "You're like, 'What do you think?' " the Duchess of Sussex said. "It's no different — I will say this to every woman in the world or every person in the world who's going to have a child — if you have an idea about what you are going to name that baby, you keep it so close to your heart, until that baby is born and it's named. Don't ask anyone's opinion," she continued. Meghan is a mom to a son, Prince Archie, 6, and a daughter, Princess Lilibet, 3, with her husband, Prince Harry. Meghan and Harry did discuss the idea of their daughter's name with the royal family, as it was inspired by his grandmother Queen Elizabeth's childhood nickname. A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously told PEOPLE, "The Duke spoke with his family in advance of the announcement, in fact, his grandmother was the first family member he called. During that conversation, he shared their hope of naming their daughter Lilibet in her honor. Had she not been supportive, they would not have used the name." When it came to their son, the couple revealed in 2022 that they were choosing between Archie and Harrison as his first name, and they ended up choosing to use Harrison as a middle name. On the podcast, Meghan said naming a baby was "not dissimilar to naming your company." The Duchess of Sussex initially revealed her lifestyle brand would be called American Riviera Orchard, but she later changed the name to As ever. Can't get enough of PEOPLE's Royals coverage? to get the latest updates on Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and more! In an Instagram video, she said, "Last year, I had thought, 'American Riviera, that sounds like such a great name.' It's my neighborhood; it's a nickname for Santa Barbara, but it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area. Then Netflix came on, not just as my partner in the show, but as my partner in my business. which was huge. So I thought about it, and I've been waiting for a moment to share a name that I had secured in 2022, and this is the moment, and it's called As Ever." "As Ever essentially means as it's always been, and if you've followed me since 2014 with The Tig, you know I've always loved cooking and crafting and gardening — this is what I do," she says. "And I haven't been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years, but now I can, so as things are starting to trickle out there, I wanted you to hear it from me first." Meghan Markle opens up about pregnancy weight, stilettos, and motherhood in podcast season finale
Meghan Markle has opened up about her pregnancies with Archie and Lilibet in the heartfelt finale of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder. The Duchess of Sussex spoke honestly about the changes she went through, both physically and emotionally, during those times. In the final episode of her podcast - Confessions of a Female Founder, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle shared that she gained 65 pounds during both pregnancies. Despite this, she still wore five-inch heels while attending royal engagements. 'A friend just said to me the other day, they were like, 'I just saw this picture I'd forgotten about when you were so pregnant with Archie,'' she recalled. 'I always wear my five-inch, pointy-toed stilettos.' She laughed as she described how her friend reacted to the photo. ''You have the most enormous bump and your tiny little ankles are bracing themselves in these high heels,'' Meghan said. 'All my weight was in the front. So you're just going, how on Earth am I not just tipping, you know, face planting?' She added, 'I was clinging very closely to my husband, like, 'Please don't let me fall.'' During her pregnancy with Archie in 2019, Meghan carried out many public duties as a senior royal. With Lilibet in 2021, she was living in California and kept things more private. Tuesday's (May 27) episode marked the end of her podcast's first season, which launched on April 8. Throughout the season, Meghan welcomed a group of inspiring female founders, including some of her close friends. Some of the people she invited were Whitney Wolfe Herd of Bumble, Reshma Saujani of Girls Who Code and Moms First, Kadi Lee of Highbrow Hippie, Jamie Kern Lima of IT Cosmetics and The Jamie Kern Lima Show, Hannah Mendoza of Clevr Blends, Heather Hasson of FIGS and Cassandra Morales Thurswell of Kitsch. The podcast runs alongside the launch of Meghan's new lifestyle brand, As ever, which blends wellness, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

Meghan Markle 'Envisioned' Giving Speeches ‘With a Baby on My Hip,' but Royal Motherhood Didn't Go as Planned
Meghan Markle has shared how motherhood journey hasn't been what she'd initially 'envisioned' The Duchess of Sussex shares son Prince Archie, 6, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 3, with her husband, Prince Harry In a new podcast episode, she talked about how "external" factors kept her from the life she'd pictured with her two kidsFor Meghan Markle, motherhood didn't pan out the way she'd originally imagined. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shares son Prince Archie, 6, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 3, with her husband, Prince Harry. During the May 20 episode of her Lemonada Media podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, she reflected on the expectations she had for motherhood within the royal family before welcoming her children. "I will say, for myself, especially when they are baby babies and before I was a mom, I've always wanted to be a mom," she revealed. "I was like, 'Oh gosh I'm going to give a speech with a baby on my hip.' I had a whole vision.' However, things didn't go according to the Suits star's plan. 'Granted, I had a lot of external things happening by the time I had both pregnancies and both babies,' she shared. 'But it was not the way I envisioned it." Meghan and Harry, 40, welcomed Archie while they were still senior members of the royal family. They brought their son with them on a royal tour of Africa in 2019, introducing him to Bishop Desmond Tutu during a public appearance. But several months later, the couple announced their intention to "step back" as working royals and relocate their family to California. Amid the public scrutiny, the Sussexes kept their son out of the spotlight. In 2021, they welcomed daughter Lilibet and were continuing to settle into life in their new home in Montecito, opting to keep photos of both kids to a minimum and not having them attend public events. Despite the shift in Meghan's plans, she said that one constant remains a priority for her. 'For me, it's so important my kids see me as a working mom,' the As ever founder noted on her podcast. Can't get enough of PEOPLE's Royals coverage? to get the latest updates on Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and more! For his part, Harry has spent much of fatherhood concerned for his family's safety. The son of King Charles and the late Princess Diana recently lost his appeal to reinstate his state-funded security in the United Kingdom. "Look at the risk, look at the threat, look at the impact that if anything was to happen to me, my wife, or my father's grandchildren. If anything was to happen to them, look where the responsibility lies," Harry told the BBC earlier this month. Harry stated that the original security decision was made 'to keep us under the roof,' implying that it was done to keep Harry and Meghan as senior members of the royal family. Harry's mother, Princess Diana, was left without police protection after choosing to decline it following her divorce from the future King. In 1997 she died in a Paris car crash while being pursued by paparazzi and guarded only by private security. "I don't want history to repeat itself," the Duke of Sussex said. "I think there's a lot of other people out there, the majority, that also don't want history to repeat itself. Through the disclosure process, I've discovered that some people want history to repeat itself, which is pretty dark." Read the original article on People

'I've been having candid conversations with amazing women who have turned dreams into realities, and scaled small ideas into massively successful businesses,' Markle said of the podcast concept. 'They're opening up, sharing their tips, tricks (and tumbles), and letting me pick their brains as I build out my own business, As ever. It has been absolutely eye-opening, inspiring…and fun! (Because what's the point if we can't have some fun on this wild adventure?)' Markle's first guest stars on the show were Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd and IT Cosmetics founder Jamie Kern Lima. Markle's long-awaited brand, which was initially called American Riviera Orchard and renamed to As Ever, officially launched on April 2, 2025. The first round of products included her homemade spreads, crepe batter, tea blends and her signature 'flower sprinkles.' As Ever's first release sold out in under 45 minutes. As part of Markle and Harry's Netflix deal, she released a cooking and lifestyle show on the platform titled With Love, Meghan on March 4, 2025. In the series, Markle cooks and chats with friends, harvests honey from her bees, and arranges a flower bouquet ahead of a dinner party, and much more. Some of the guests include Abigail Spencer, Mindy Kaling and renowned chef Roy Choi. By March 7, Netflix announced that With Love, Meghan had already been renewed for season 2. Chef José Andrés is the first confirmed guest. On Dec. 10, 2024, the docuseries Polo was released on Netflix. Both Harry and Markle served as executive producers. 'They were wonderful. They were extremely hands-on,' the showrunner Miloš Balać told People. 'They really had a vision for trying to get polo to be accessible to a wider audience. Prince Harry knows the sport inside and out.' One of Harry's most enduring passions has been the work he does through the Invictus Games, a global event that helps wounded, injured and sick military service personnel, both serving and veterans, heal through sports. While the 2020 event was delayed a couple of years due to the pandemic, the Games continued in full swing at The Hague in 2022. In 2023, Harry and his team organized the event in Düsseldorf, Germany. In 2025, the Invictus Games took place in Vancouver-Whistler. The first Invictus Games happened back in 2014 when Harry was still in the royal family. On Dec. 12, 2023, Prince Harry and his lawyers won the months-long case against Mirror Group Newspapers, aka the publishers of The Mirror, Sunday Mirror, and more. Among the accusations made by the royal are that the publisher, from years of 1991 to 2011, acquired information in unlawful ways such as phone-hacking and wire-tapping. 'I hope that the court's finding will serve as a warning to all media organizations who have employed these practices and then similarly lied about it,' Harry's lawyer David Sherbourne said in a statement outside the courthouse. 'My commitment to seeing this case through is based on my belief in our need and collective right to a free and honest press. The mission continues.' As part of Harry and Meghan's multi-million dollar Netflix deal, Harry produced and starred in an in-depth documentary of his passion project, the Invictus Games. The documentary, titled Heart of Invictus, was released on August 30, 2023, on the platform. The docuseries follows six athletes as they prepare and compete in the 2022 Invictus Games. On May 6, 2023, Prince Harry attended the long-awaited coronation of King Charles III. 'There was never any question on whether he would want to come or not,' royal expert Omid Scoobie declared. Markle, for her part, stayed behind in California to celebrate their son Archie's fourth birthday. Not long after the release of Harry & Meghan, the two released Live to Lead on Dec. 31, 2022, a Netflix show about leaders from all over the world. 'Leaders committed to making a difference in the world share their inspiring life stories in this series executive produced by Prince Harry and Meghan,' the official synopsis reads. Highlighted leaders included Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Jacinda Ardern, Greta Thunberg, Bryan Stevenson and Gloria Steinam. On Dec 8, 2022, the pair released the first part of their two-part docuseries entitled Harry & Meghan. 'This is Harry being able to — for the first time — talk about his own life,' a source told The Telegraph. 'His family are obviously part of his story, but it's less an exercise in record-setting [than] a means of setting himself free. And then he can move on.' In the series, Markle and Harry remembered their first dates together, talked about the royal family's reaction to their romance and remembered how terrifying their new life became when hate took over public discourse. In August 2022, Markle's long-awaited podcast first podcast, Archetypes, was released. 'This is Archetypes — the podcast where we dissect, explore, and subvert the labels that try to hold women back,' Markle said in the teaser. 'I'll have conversations with women who know all too well how these typecasts shape our narratives. And I'll talk to historians to understand how we even got here in the first place.' Among the guest stars in the first season were Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton and Issa Rae. Harry made waves with his tell-all Spare, which was released worldwide on Jan. 10, 2023. In the memoir, Harry talked about the tricky dynamics between Kate Middleton and Markle, the strained relationship with his brother (including their physical confrontation) and his NSFW virginity confession. In December 2021, Markle won her privacy and copyright infringement case against Associated Newspapers, responsible for the tabloid that published excerpts of a private letter between Meghan and her father, Thomas Markle. 'This is a victory not just for me, but for anyone who has ever felt scared to stand up for what's right,' she said in a statement. 'While this win is precedent-setting, what matters most is that we are now collectively brave enough to reshape a tabloid industry that conditions people to be cruel, and profits from the lies and pain that they create.' In September 2021, Markle and Harry had the distinguished honor of being included in Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People. The couple even appeared on the cover of the magazine. 'In a world where everyone has an opinion about people they don't know, the duke and duchess have compassion for the people they don't know,' World Central Kitchen founder José Andrés wrote of the couple. 'They don't just opine. They run toward the struggle.' After revealing to Oprah (and the world) that they were expecting a baby girl, Markle and Harry announced the arrival of their daughter, Lilibet Diana, in June 2021. 'It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet 'Lili' Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world,' the couple shared in a statement. 'Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11:40 a.m. in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz. Both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home,' the statement went on. 'Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.' As we all know, Harry and Meghan welcomed their first son, Archie Harrison in 2019. In March 2021, Markle and Harry made the decision to open up to Oprah Winfrey in a televised interview on CBS. During their conversation, Meghan revealed she struggled with suicidal ideation during her time as a royal and how the royal family, aka The Firm, struggled to support her concerns. It was also the first time they opened up about the royal family's concern over their kids' skin color. 'We have in tandem the conversation of 'He won't be given security, he's not going to be given a title' and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he's born,' Markle said, per The New York Times. Harry also shared that his relationship with his immediate family became quite strained after their departure, and how they almost immediately cut all ties, including financial. Following Harry and Markle's departure from the royal family, the couple started their own foundation, titled Archewell. They launched Archewell's official website in December 2020. 'We believe in the best of humanity. Because we have seen the best of humanity. We have experienced compassion and kindness, from our mothers and strangers alike,' the couple wrote in their joint letter on Archewell's website. 'In the face of fear, struggle and pain, it can be easy to lose sight of this. Together, we can choose to put compassion in action.' Archewell has been the hub through which a number the couple's public service endeavors flow through, and it's used as the place where the couple can highlight organizations with whom they're partnering and more. In September of 2020, Markle and Harry signed a historic multi-million-dollar deal with Netflix. 'Harry and Meghan have inspired millions of people all around the world with their authenticity, optimism and leadership,' said Ted Sarandos, a co-chief executive and the chief content officer at Netflix, in his announcement. 'We're incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home – and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere.'
