Malayalam actor Vishnu Prasad dies of liver disease
Malayalam film and television actor Vishnu Prasad died at a private hospital in the early hours of Friday in Kochi. He was 49 years old. According to reports, he was undergoing treatment for liver-related issues for a few months. Popular Malayalam television actor Vishnu Prasad died at a private hospital in Kochi on Friday (May 2, 2025) early morning. He was 49. He had been undergoing treatment for liver-related ailments for some time and required a liver transplant. The death occurred around 1.09 a.m, according to the Public Relations wing at the Aster Medcity Hospital. The family along with his friends in the Association of Malayalam Television Artists were making arrangements to carry out the transplant. He rose to prominence in the film and television industry for his portrayals of villains. Besides acting in various Malayalam television serials, Vishnu had acted in movies including Kaasi, Kaiyethum Doorathu, Lion, Runway, Mampazhakaalam, Ben Johnson and Lokanathan IAS.
