Unreleased Beyoncé Music Stolen During Cowboy Carter Tour in Atlanta, Police Say

Two men who identified themselves as a choreographer and a dancer for Beyoncé told police in Atlanta that hard drives containing unreleased music, concert set lists and footage plans for shows were stolen from their rental SUV last wek during a stop on the singer's Cowboy Carter tour, authorities said. The men, Christopher Grant and Diandre Blue, told officers that they parked their rented 2024 Jeep Wagoneer for about an hour in a parking garage at the Krog Street Market on July 8, according to a police report. Someone broke the vehicle's rear window while it was unattended and made off with two suitcases that the men said had their belongings in them, police said. 'Mr. Grant also advised that he was carrying some personal, sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé,' according to the police report, which the Atlanta Police Department posted on its website Monday. According to the report, the stolen items included a set of hard drives, which had some unreleased music on them; set lists for past and future concerts; and footage plans for one of the singer's upcoming shows. The hard drives also contained watermarked music, a digital identifier used by recording artists for copyright purposes and to prevent piracy. A 13-inch MacBook Air was also reported stolen. It was not immediately clear whether the hard drives had been stored inside the two suitcases. A value of $1, which appeared to be a place holder, was assigned in the police report to each of the stolen hard drives. Two officers dusted the vehicle for fingerprints, which yielded two very light prints, according to investigators, who said that security cameras had recorded the break-in. A pair of AirPods Max headphones, which were stolen and can be tracked via GPS, led officers to a person described in the report as suspicious. 'At this time, the suspect remains outstanding, and their identity is not yet available for release,' Officer John Predmore, an Atlanta police spokesperson, said in an email. The break-in was reported Monday by Atlanta television station WSB. The area where it happened is part of the Krog district, a mixed-use collection of landmark properties and a food hall. A representative for Beyoncé did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Efforts to reach Grant and Blue were not immediately successful. On Monday night, Beyoncé was scheduled to conclude the Atlanta leg of her Cowboy Carter tour at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, her fourth concert in five nights in the city. —NYT

(AP Photo/Chris Pizzello, File) By ITZEL LUNA Unreleased music by Beyoncé along with footage, show plans and concert set lists were stolen from a car in Atlanta rented by the singer's choreographer and one of her dancers, according to a police incident report. The theft of the materials, stored on five thumb drives, happened on July 8, two days before Beyoncé began a four-day residency at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Beyoncé was set to take the stage Monday evening for her last night in the city. The Atlanta Police Department said in a news release Monday it has secured an arrest warrant for a suspect whose identity was withheld. Two MacBook laptops, Apple headphones, as well as luxury clothing and accessories were also reported stolen, according to the incident report. Beyoncé's choreographer, Christopher Grant, and dancer Diandre Blue told police they parked their rental car, a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, at a food hall in the city at about 8:09 p.m. The pair returned to the car just after 9 p.m. to discover the trunk window had been damaged and two suitcases had been taken. Grant told officers that 'he was also carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician Beyonce,' the police incident report stated. The report identifies a possible suspect vehicle as a 2025 red Hyundai Elantra. Responding officers were able to identify 'light prints' at the scene, and security cameras in the parking lot captured the incident, according to the report. Officers canvassed an area where the stolen laptop and headphones were tracked by using the devices' location services, the report stated. Beyoncé kicked off her highly-anticipated tour in late April, taking her Grammy-winning album, 'Cowboy Carter,' to stadiums in the U.S. and Europe. The singer will end her tour with two Las Vegas nights in late July. © Copyright 2025 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. Beyoncé's unreleased music was stolen. Now Atlanta PD has an arrest warrant in hand

Thinking of stealing from Team Beyoncé? Think twice, because Atlanta police have a suspect in their sights after jump drives containing unreleased music by the singer were stolen from her choreographer's van. Queen Bey just wrapped up her shows in the ATL, but a bad tone was set for the four-night stand on July 8 when a Jeep Wagoneer rented by Beyoncé's choreographer Christopher Grant was broken into. The vehicle was on the main level of a parking structure near the city's Krog Street Market. Grant and dancer Diandre Blue had stopped at a restaurant shortly after 8 p.m. to get something to eat. When they returned a little more than an hour later, they saw that the back window of the SUV had been smashed and their suitcases had been stolen, according to an Atlanta Police Department report. The two suitcases held two computers and five jump drives containing unreleased music by Beyoncé as well as footage, plans for the tour production and past and future set lists, the report said. Clothing, Apple AirPods Max headphones and designer sunglasses were also taken, the report said. 'They have my computer, and it's really, really important information in there,' Grant said in a 911 call released by Atlanta police, keeping his employer's name out of it. 'I work with someone who is, like, of a high status, and I really need my computer.' He told police that the 'Find My' feature was tracking his Mac devices. An officer was able to lift 'two very light' fingerprints from the black Wagoneer, and police responded to the area where the devices were pinging. A suspicious vehicle being driven by a man was identified. Police said Monday in a release that they had secured an arrest warrant for a male suspect. 'At this time, the suspect remains outstanding, and their identity is not yet available for release,' they said. Bey's tour stop wrapped with a small catastrophe as well: An escalator at the city's Vine City MARTA station reportedly sped up, then stopped, causing a small stampede after someone screamed. Medics took people out of the station on stretchers and in wheelchairs, according to FOX 5 Atlanta. 'the escalator BROKE. someone screamed, people started running and at some point (maybe because the escalator broke and it was WAY too many people) people got injured,' user @carlyraesasuke wrote Tuesday morning on X. 'saw some poor lady on one of the benches with her leg bleeding and a handful of others on the floor. madness.' Next, Beyoncé heads to Las Vegas for the final shows of the Cowboy Carter Tour on July 25-26.
