Australian Survivor star announces engagement and shows off HUGE diamond ring

She may not have snagged the top prize on Australian Survivor, but Kate Gloufchis was definitely a winner this week. The Melbourne-based DJ and dancer took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal that she is set to tie the knot with her boyfriend Borce Kajmakoski. The reality star shared a series of romantic photos that captured the memorable moment. One photo showed the happy couple beaming as they huddled close after Borce popped the question. A clearly over the moon Kate was not shy about flashing her huge diamond sparkler to her 19,000 followers. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She also shared photos that showed the moment Borce got down on one knee to propose to his partner. It was quite the romantic setting, with the milestone moment taking place in an outdoor pergola-style area, the floor festooned with flowers. Borce certainly went all out for the romantic occasion, with the scene also decorated with an array of candles and flower arrangements on nearby dining tables. Kate looked absolutely stunning, showing off her slender figure in a figure-hugging white maxi dress with a lacy skirt. The dress also featured a ruched hip detail and a floral brooch at the waist. Borce cut quite the dapper figure, matching his bride-to-be perfectly in a white T-shirt that he wore under a cream linen shirt, worn open. He finished his proposal look with a pair of chinos in a similar shad, and a pair of plain white sneakers. Kate captioned the romantic post with the date of the proposal: '13.07.2025,' adding an engagement ring emoji for good measure. Borce certainly went all out for the romantic occasion, with the scene also dressed with an array of candles and flower arrangements on nearby dining tables The post was met with an outpouring of congratulations from friends, fans and followers. TV host Rodger Corser reportedly shown the door at Channel Ten as the network continues to shed high-profile talent

Rodger Corser has reportedly been shown the door at Channel Ten, joining the list of talent being cut as the network continues to shed staff. Channel Nine swooped the popular 52-year-old TV host from under Ten's nose to host its top-rating game show, The Floor Australia, in 2025. The switch came after Corser's previous show, The Traitors, was not renewed for another season with Ten after just two series in 2022-23. It's understood Ten had still left the door open for Corser to return to host the reality game show should it ever make a return to screens. However, a source who spoke to Woman's Day on Monday said the network has now 'quietly let go' of Corser as host of The Traitors. The TV star is said to be wondering whether his move to Nine was ultimately the deciding factor for the bosses at Ten to show him the door. A TV insider told Woman's Day the network has been 'cleaning house' of its highest-earning talent to slash budget and 'freshen up' its shows. 'Essentially anyone with anything close to six zeroes (salary) has been let go,' a source said. The development comes as Survivor Australia fans are still reeling over Ten's axing of host Jonathan La Paglia in June. The show's producers told the TV veteran he was out of a job via a "clinical" and "cold" email, Daily Mail Australia reported. Australian Survivor: All-Stars champion David Genat is tipped to replace La Paglia, but insiders have said he "doesn't fit the brief" as host. "He's charismatic, sure - but Survivor needs someone with gravitas," a source told Daily Mail Australia. "David is not Jonathan, and viewers will notice that." Australian Survivor, which features a group of contestants called "castaways" living in an isolated outdoor location in Samoa where they must gather food, water, fire, and shelter while competing in challenges for awards and immunity, has recently struggled with a ratings slump. The last season, Brains vs. Brawn II, saw viewership dip to 486,000 total overnight viewers, a far cry from the many millions it attracted in its prime. It closely follows 10 News+, Ten's new current affairs news program 10News+, having also failed to gain viewers during its first week on air. 10 News+ replaced The Project in June, launching with an average national broadcast audience of 291,000 viewers. The show lost 47,000 viewers the following evening, bringing its national average to 244,000 viewers. That figure dipped to 205,000 on the third night and continued to decline, with a further drop to 159,000 recorded on Thursday. Ten's hopes for a comeback on Friday were dashed when a mere 152,000 people tuned in, or a decrease of 139,000 viewers compared to Monday. The fall in viewership is especially stark when compared to The Project's final episode on June 27, which saw 478,000 people tune in. A Ten spokesperson told the network was 'taking a long-term, multi-platform view of audience development.' 'Building a loyal news audience takes time, and we are prepared for gradual growth as audiences discover and connect with our unique approach to news delivery across many platforms,' the spokesperson said. '10 is fully committed to 10 News+. This is a marathon, not a sprint. "We are investing in building a sustainable, quality multi-platform news service that will grow and evolve with our audience's needs over time.' has contacted Ten and Rodger Corser for comment.

Jonathan LaPaglia's wife speaks out after his brutal axing from Survivor Australia and slams Channel Ten: 'He doesn't deserve this'

The wife of Australian Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia has broken her silence after his brutal axing by Channel 10. Jonathan appeared to take a dig at his rumoured replacement, David Genat, in an Instagram post made earlier this week as the 55-year-old expressed his hurt at being punted from the hit show. At the end of the lengthy post, LaPaglia wrote: 'Whoever said a blindside is the most humane way to put someone down is an idiot. It hurts like a bitch!' Eagle-eyed fans noted that Genat famously uttered those exact words during an episode in 2019. Ursula Brooks, who has been married to Jonathan for 27 years, made her feelings known in the crowded comments section. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Humbling to see all the love and outrage for Jonathan LaPaglia on this post,' she wrote. 'It has been horrible to witness the shock and confusion of this decision by Survivor AU from a front-row seat.' Ursula did not mince her words as she tagged the official Survivor Australia account in her comment. 'You did not deserve this and it seems the real tribe has spoken, Jonny,' Ursula said. 'We and the Australian Survivor audience love you.' The Australian TV host, who has helmed the Channel 10 show since its revival in 2016, was inundated with messages of support from his fellow celebrities and reality TV alums. KIIS FM radio host Jackie 'O' Henderson said Jonathan is the 'Greatest Of All Time'. 'It won't be the same without you JLP,' Jackie said with a broken heart emoji. Big Brother winner Reggie Bird typed out several dozen poop emojis and wrote: 'This is absolute bulls**t.' 'King George of Bankstown', whose real name is George Mladenov, said Jonathan is 'the best host in the business'. The Sydney reality TV personality, who found fame on the Australian Survivor "Brains vs. Brawn" and "Heroes vs. Villains" seasons, wrote: '[You] let the game breathe, [were] impartial and iconically hilarious. Your excellent hosting let the Episode 7 tribal council unfold the way it did because you had the skills and experience to just let it happen and let it keep going.' George's comment has been liked just shy of 2,000 times. Meanwhile, American Season 43 contestant Owen Knight slammed the network's decision to fire Jonathan as 'boneheaded.' 'You were phenomenal and I can tell the players loved you. Respect from across the world,' he wrote, while Sydney chef Colin Fassnidge added: 'He is the show.' Jonathan's sign-off all but confirms Genat, a former model turned professional reality TV game player, is stepping into his role. It is no surprise Jonathan is furious after he was sacked via an email from producers at EndemolShine Australia, the company behind Survivor. The Australian TV host, who has helmed the Channel 10 show its revival in 2016, was inundated with messages of support from his fellow celebrities and reality TV alums This was before anyone from Ten had the chance to pick up the phone. The message pinged in his inbox after he had wrapped filming on his last season of Survivor, Australia v The World, which is slated to air later this year. 'He got an email first. That was the initial comms from EndemolShine,' a source said. 'Then a call came from Ten, but by then it was already done. It's really not how you treat someone who's been part of the show for almost a decade.' The decision to break the news via email, described by insiders as 'clinical' and 'cold', has shocked those involved with the show. According to multiple insiders, the decision to replace Jonathan was made well before Australia v The World began filming in September last year, but was kept tightly under wraps to avoid overshadowing the season. 'It was locked in for months,' one spy said. 'They wanted to avoid a backlash during filming and post-production - but now the torches have been lit, and not just in Samoa.' Soon after Daily Mail Australia broke the news of his axing, Jonathan issued a statement confirming he had been dropped - describing his exit as the one blindside he didn't see coming.

Sacked Ten star Jonathan La Paglia seemingly confirms Australian Survivor replacement rumour via cryptic social media swipe

Australian Survivor fans have claimed the show's sacked host Jonathan La Paglia confirmed swirling rumours of his replacement through a brutal social media swipe. Fans were left just as stunned as La Paglia, known affectionately as JLP, was when Network 10 on Monday confirmed the upcoming season of Survivor: Australia V The World will be the last series hosted by the star. The show's producers first told the TV veteran he was out of a job via a "clinical" and "cold" email, Daily Mail Australia reported on Wednesday. La Paglia had already filmed the show before its premiere in the coming months and took to Instagram to address the "epic blindside" on Monday. "Whoever said a blindside is the most humane way to put someone down is an idiot. It hurts like a bitch!" he wrote in his wide-ranging statement. Devout Survivor fans would know Australian Survivor: All-Stars champion David Genat, who is tipped to replace La Paglia as host, famously uttered the "blindside" line during an episode of Champions V Contenders in 2019. JLP at the time asked Genat what his motive was behind his vote at the tribal council, to which the then-contestant said a blindside was humane. 'I mean, I think a blindside is the most humane way to put someone down,' he said. Viewers are now sure this means La Paglia's seemingly innocuous remark not only mocked Genat but confirmed the hosting swap rumours. 'Oooh, he ate that,' one person said, as another added the TV star was "the master of one-liners. What a f****** icon'. More viewers lashed out at the Network 10 shakeup, largely praising David but saying he was no replacement for the longtime host. "I like David, but no. He's not JLP," one person said, while another said: "It's the dumbest decision they could make, and I love David". "I love David and think he's the perfect replacement…when Jonathan decides to leave," chimed another person. "David is an excellent player, so it will be interesting to see how he is as a host," one more elated fan said. Genat recently won $8.7 million on the US TV game show Deal or No Deal Island and is set to compete in Survivor: Australia V The World. The new season will mark the TV star's third time on the series, and he has previously hosted popular travel shows Rush and Getaway. Despite the model's impressive TV record, a production staff member said people are not convinced he's La Paglia's best replacement. "He doesn't fit the brief," the insider insider told Daily Mail Australia "He's charismatic, sure - but Survivor needs someone with gravitas. David is not Jonathan, and viewers will notice that." La Paglia has hosted Australian Survivor since 2016 and quickly earned a reputation as a staunch and earnest personality on the show. The news of his departure comes as Australian Survivor has struggled with a rating slump. The last season, Brains vs. Brawn II, saw viewership dip to 486,000 total overnight viewers, a far cry from the many millions it attracted in its prime.

The decision to break the news via email, described by insiders as 'clinical' and 'cold', has shocked those involved with the show. 'It wasn't just a job to him,' the source added. 'Jonathan took this seriously - gym, set, repeat. If you've ever watched the man storm tribal council in head-to-toe linen, you know he gave it everything. 'He was passionate, outspoken and protective over the format - especially when production barged in with changes. 'I cannot stress this enough: JLP didn't just show up to read lines. He lived it.' According to multiple insiders, the decision to replace LaPaglia was made well before Australia v The World began filming in September last year, but was kept tightly under wraps to avoid overshadowing the season. 'It was locked in for months,' one spy said. 'They wanted to avoid a backlash during filming and post-production - but now the torches have been lit, and not just in Samoa.' Soon after Daily Mail Australia broke the news of his axing, LaPaglia issued a statement confirming he had been dropped - describing his exit as the one blindside he didn't see coming. 'Australian Survivor has seen some of the most epic blindsides over the last 10 years, but this one might just be the craziest of them all… because it happened to me,' he wrote on Instagram. 'I received a call from the network thanking me for all my hard work and dedication to the show but for next season they are "going in a different direction". Ratings had dipped a bit recently and they wanted to do something drastic to shake things up. 'So for the first time ever this is not a tribe swap, but a host swap. Yes, you read that right.' 'I wish I could say, "Before we go to vote, tonight is a little different… no one's going home." But I can't. None of that non-elim bulls**t tonight! Someone IS going home. And with no idol in my back pocket, that someone is me. 'It has been one of the greatest adventures of my career to helm Australian Survivor, so it is without a doubt the hardest challenge of all to snuff my own torch but here goes: "JLP… the tribe has spoken".' While no replacement has been officially announced, our sources say Survivor: All Stars winner David Genat will step into the role from 2026.
