MACC gets three-day remand extension on land broker in RM3.8mil graft probe
SEREMBAN: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has obtained a remand extension from the Magistrate's Court here on a broker suspected of using a land title with falsified details to obtain RM3.8mil, the proceeds of a land sale. On Monday (Aug 11), Magistrate Nurul Saqinah Rosli allowed an application from the MACC to remand the suspect, in his 40s, for a further three days. The suspect was initially under remand from Aug 5 until today. He was detained on Aug 4 when he turned up at the MACC office here to give his statement on the matter. The land, in Lenggeng near here, belonged to another individual. When contacted at the time of the suspect's arrest, Negri Sembilan MACC chief Awgkok Ahmad Taufik Putra Awg Ismail confirmed the investigation under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.

Negri Sembilan MACC nabs land broker over RM3.8mil false claim
SEREMBAN: The Negri Sembilan Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has remanded a land broker for seven days, starting today, to assist in an investigation involving the use of a land title containing false information to secure RM3.8 million from a land sale in September 2022. The remand order was issued by magistrate Saiful Sayoti at the magistrate's court following MACC's application. According to sources, the suspect, in his 40s, was arrested around 5.30 pm yesterday after voluntarily presenting himself at the state MACC office to give a statement. Preliminary investigations showed that the suspect allegedly used a falsified land title document, registered under another individual's name, for a piece of land in Mukim Lenggeng, Seremban, to facilitate the transaction. Negri Sembilan MACC director, Awgkok Ahmad Taufik Putra Awg Ismail, confirmed the arrest, and said that the case is being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.

The remand order was issued by Magistrate Saiful Sayoti following an application by MACC. The suspect, a man in his 40s, voluntarily surrendered himself at the state MACC office yesterday afternoon. Investigations revealed that he allegedly used a forged land title document, registered under another individual's name, for a plot in Mukim Lenggeng, Seremban. MACC arrests clerk for allegedly submitting false hotel claims totalling RM55,000
SEREMBAN: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has obtained a court order to remand a woman for seven days until July 22 to investigate her for allegedly providing false information to claim a total of RM55,000. The suspect, in her 20s, was detained when she arrived for questioning at the state MACC office around 9.30pm on July 15. The woman, who is a clerk at a tour company in Kuala Lumpur, had allegedly submitted documents containing false details involving a company credit card payment claim for hotel bookings. A source said the suspect was believed to have committed the offences between March 2023 and February last year. "The suspect is believed to have submitted company credit card payment claim documents containing false details for hotel bookings on official company business for personal gain," he said. When contacted, state MACC chief Awgkok Ahmad Taufik Putra Awg Ismail confirmed the case, adding that it was being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act.
