Florida RHP Liam Peterson a top-5 draft prospect heading into 2026 cycle

Teams didn't pay up for Liam Peterson coming out of high school, and now the Florida ace enters the 2026 draft cycle as one of the top arms in the class. Baseball America broke down its top 2026 draft prospects following the conclusion of the 2025 draft, and Peterson checks in at No. 5 overall. He's a bit further down at No. 9 in BA's way-too-early mock draft, but that's assuming an order that hasn't been set yet. Peterson may fall or rise a few spots depending on fit, but he's one of the very best collegiate players heading into next year. "Peterson last year cemented himself as one of the best freshman arms in the country and collected 77 strikeouts across 63 innings," Baseball America wrote. "Peterson picked up right where he left off—and then some—and pitched to a 4.28 ERA with a career-best 96 strikeouts across 69.1 innings. "The 6-foot-5 righthander features a mid-to-upper-90s fastball that flashes ample carry through the zone, a pitch he pairs with a mid-to-upper-80s slider that flashes sharp two-plane tilt, an above-average high-80s changeup that flashes both tumble and fade and a seldom-used high-70s-to-low-80s curveball that's distinct in shape from his slider. Peterson's slider and changeup both generated a whiff rate of 43% and his strike-throwing took a step forward since last season." Peterson spent his second summer in a row with Team USA, although he didn't pitch in the 45th annual USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star Series. Even with Aidan King emerging as a trusty No. 2 behind Peterson, all the pressure is on him to lead the staff after a shaky 2025 for Florida on the mound. Other Gators in the 2026 draft Florida doesn't have any other 2026 draft prospects inside Baseball America's top 100, but a pair of Gators commits are likely to come off the board on Day 1 of next year's draft. Outfielder Brady Harris has been considered a top-10 pick for most of his high school career and is all but gone to the next level. It would take a considerable drop for Florida to retain him. There's also right-hander Denton Lord, who stands at 6-foot-8 with a fastball approaching the high-90s. Projectability is likely to get him drafted, but he'd be a potential weekend starter as a freshman if Florida keeps him. '…Reach the Highest Levels of Safety' Boeing Stock (NYSE:BA) Gains on Air Taxi Plans

Aerospace stock Boeing (BA) is looking to branch out into the autonomous air taxi market via its Wisk Aero subsidiary. Now, Boeing even has a target date for the service to go live: 2030. The news is actually proving welcome enough for shareholders, as Boeing shares gained fractionally in Monday afternoon's trading. Naturally, a new service like this is not a simple thing to set up, which is why Boeing is eyeing this as part of a five-year plan rather than a thing they could launch in a week or two. Boeing looks to run commercial flights in Miami, Los Angeles, and Houston, and it is currently laying new groundwork in places like Broward County and Palm Beach County in Florida. In fact, Boeing's planned launch is a little something different. While several companies are working on small-scale 'air taxi' services, Boeing's version is unique in that it is autonomous. While the competitors require a human to be involved, Boeing's version will fly by itself, without human intervention. In fact, the latest version of the aircraft Wisk has developed for this purpose has seating for four and absolutely no onboard controls, reports note. No Irish Eyes Smiling Here Boeing is facing growing concern from at least one airline: Ryanair (RYAAY). In fact, Ryanair is considering refusing delivery of the jets that have not yet been delivered, insisting that tariff costs are Boeing's to bear, and that Ryanair is prepared to wait until the tariffs are out of the picture before taking delivery. Considering that this is a plan that worked remarkably poorly for China back in April, Ryanair's plan here may not work out well. The problem, of course, is that Boeing has a backlog of orders stretching back years, so there will almost certainly be buyers for Boeing's planes from other airlines who do not want to continue waiting. And Ryanair's ability to place an order elsewhere is perhaps even more limited; Airbus (EADSY) is backed up until mid-2030, reports note, and China's COMAC is, well, perhaps less recognized in the market. Is Boeing a Good Stock to Buy Right Now? Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Strong Buy consensus rating on BA stock based on 17 Buys, two Holds and one Sell assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After a 28.19% rally in its share price over the past year, the average BA price target of $240 per share implies 3.83% upside potential.

IBA urges banks to speed up ISO 20022 shift to avoid payment issues

BA Chief Executive Atul Kumar Goel said it is essential for lenders to begin migration by August 2025 to ensure sufficient buffer time for monitoring ISO 20222 transaction volumes Press Trust of India New Delhi Indian Banks' Association (IBA) has asked all banks to fast-track the implementation of the SWIFT ISO 20022 norms, failing which they may face difficulties in cross-border payments. In a letter recently written to heads of all banks, IBA Chief Executive Atul Kumar Goel said it is essential for lenders to begin migration by August 2025 to ensure sufficient buffer time for monitoring ISO 20222 transaction volumes. ISO 20022 is a global standard for financial messaging that the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) is adopting for cross-border payments and reporting. This new standard for messaging aims to improve the payments flow through faster processing, visibility, cost reduction, enhanced reconciliation and increased interoperability. As many as 3 banks in India reached a migration percentage rate of above 85 per cent, while the majority of banks are still targeting migration closer to the global deadline of November 2025, the letter said. This approach may pose significant operational and technical risks for India as a country, including exposure to message rejections, reduced readiness for exception handling, and potential customer impact, Goel cautioned banks. SWIFT began its migration to ISO 20022, with a coexistence period that will continue until November 2025, according to the letter. The coexistence period is a migration phase to ensure a smooth transition to a new format, allowing the use of the new and existing legacy MT messaging standard for a limited period. The coexistence period between the legacy systems (MT) and ISO 20022 will officially end on November 22, 2025. Any MT payment instruction messages in the scope post November 22, 2025, will fail validation, the IBA informed banks. Institutions that wish to prevent risk of service disruption due to stricter network validation, loss of data, and avoid additional charges should ensure they do not send FIN (financial information) /MT (message type) instruction messages for cross-border bank-to-bank payments after November 2025, it said. BA unveils new short-haul routes to 2 underrated hotspots but there's a catch

Two stunning but overlooked destinations just a couple of hours from the UK are slated for a huge tourist boom, after a major airline ramps up its offerings - but there is one small catch British Airways is ramping up its offerings as it launches two new direct routes - with prices starting at just £60. The upmarket airline has revealed that Brits will soon be able to fly to two new stunning destinations under its Gatwick-based subsidiary, BA Euroflyer, bringing its total number of short-haul destinations to 130. This includes the fairytale city of Graz in Austria and the overlooked hotspot of Rabat in Morocco. ‌ However, there is one small catch. Both new routes won't debut until November this year, meaning Brits wanting to explore somewhere new this summer won't be able to take advantage of the new flights. ‌ ‌ "We are excited to further strengthen our connectivity between London and Austria with the addition of Graz," said Karen Hilton, managing director of BA Euroflyer. "We will be the only direct operation between the two cities, offering more choice to our customers, whether it's for business, leisure, or visiting friends and family. "With its year-round warm weather, Morocco is ideal for those seeking an off-season escape without a lengthy flight time. The addition of Rabat means we now fly to three fantastic destinations in Morocco – an excellent choice for families, couples, and friends alike." Graz, Austria Graz is the capital city of the southern Austrian province of Styria, but has long remained out of the tourist spotlight. Overshadowed by the likes of Vienna and Salzburg, this quaint city was named a UNESCO City of Design in 2011, and its historic core is a UNESCO World Heritage site. ‌ BA will operate flights to Graz three times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, starting on November 21, 2025. The journey takes, on average, two hours and 20 minutes. Highlights include the prominent mid-16th century clock tower on the Schlossberg mountain, which offers breathtaking views of the city - showing off its impressive range of architecture from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Historism and Art Nouveau eras. Its main square, Hauptlaz, is a great place for those wanting to pick up souvenirs at the weekly markets - and used to be used as an execution site back in the Middle Ages. ‌ "Next to the Grazer Dom cathedral is one of the most striking buildings in Graz," explains travel experts over at Lonely Planet. "This is the Mausoleum of Ferdinand II, part of St. Catherine's Church, complete with soaring turquoise domes. Ferdinand had his court artist Giovanni Pietro de Pomis, originally from northern Italy, start work on the mausoleum and church in 1614." ‌ Rabat, Morocco Attracting a fraction of the tourists that flock to Marrakech, Rabat is actually Morocco's capital - and is brimming with rich history, impressive architecture, and things to do. BA will fly to the city twice per week (on Wednesdays and Sundays) starting on November 5, 2025. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage city thanks to its blend of tradition and modernity, this riverside region boasts manicured green spaces and an efficient tramway linking its districts together. The biggest attraction has to be Kasbah des Oudaias, a 12th-century citadel located within the Kasbah's medieval gates. Initially constructed as a military fortress to protect the region, this preserved landmark now has a Mediterranean feel to it, and is filled with artisan shops and cobbled streets. ‌ "Rabat is also a modern eco-responsible capital with its green spaces. Beautiful parks await you, such as the botanical test garden or the Exotic Gardens of Bouknadel which is a few kilometres from the city," hails the country's official tourist board, Visit Morocco. "Rabat also boasts an outstanding coastline; on the Atlantic Ocean shores, it has kilometres of well-equipped beaches that lead to the neighbouring city of Casablanca." *BA Euroflyer flies from London Gatwick to Graz from £60 each way, and to Rabat from £70 each way. This included taxes and carrier fees.
