The exhibit offers insight into Jimin's solo artistry. 'The Truth Untold,' an exhibit that celebrates the musical journey of BTS member Jimin, can be seen in New York City this June. Jimin is a singer, songwriter and member of the world's most popular k-pop band. He's recognized globally for his many contributions to the band's chart-topping hits, which include 'Butter,' 'Fake Love' and 'Permission to Dance." Jimin not only adds his voice to the band's distinctive sound, but with a background in modern dance he plays a prominent role in BTS' exceptional choreography. The personal and immersive exhibit documents Jimin's journey as a solo artist. His own solo discography includes 'Lie,' 'Serendipity,' and 'With You,' which was on the soundtrack for the hit Korean TV series Our Blues. Jimi also recorded 'Vibe' in collaboration with k-pop icon Taeyang. Jimin's first solo album 'Face,' released in March 2023, made him the first South Korean solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100. 'The Truth Untold" exhibition incorporates various installations, such as a large media wall and distortion mirrors, visually representing the album's themes of introspection, confusion, and vulnerability. BTS Star Jin's New Album Brings Him To New Career Highs Everywhere
In the span of just six months, Jin has made up for lost time and delivered not one, but two solo projects. The BTS singer was the last member of the group to put out collections on his own, but he's quickly adding to his own catalog, including with his latest short offering. The South Korean musician's new EP Echo lands on a trio of Billboard rankings in America this week, and it sets new career highs for the singer across the board. Perhaps most excitingly, Echo opens at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The title arrives behind only Morgan Wallen's massive I'm the Problem – which scores the largest debut of 2025 – and the seemingly-unstoppable SOS by SZA. Echo launches with 43,000 equivalent units shifted, according to Luminate. That figure is enough to beat the No. 4 peak of Happy, which dropped in late 2024 and served as Jin's first solo release and initial top 10 showing under his own name on the Billboard 200. Echo also brings Jin to a new career high point on the Top Album Sales chart. The BTS star's latest effort misses out on the throne by just one spot, but nothing was going to beat I'm the Problem by Wallen this time around. Echo kicks off its run on the all-style sales list with 34,500 pure purchases. That's about 100,000 fewer than I'm the Problem, but still a healthy opening figure. Happy only climbed to No. 3 when it was brand new and selling at its best. Jin also earns his first No. 1 on the World Albums chart. Echo starts in that lofty position, bringing the South Korean superstar to the summit for the first time and beating Happy, which also reached the top three, but which was never able to lead the ranking.

This famous salsa star just got dragged into the Beckham family drama
We're learning more and more about what is causing the supposed rift within Miami's royal family. After David and Victoria Beckham's oldest son, Brooklyn, was missing from all pictures at his dad's 50th birthday parties in April, the rumor mill began to churn. Where was the aspiring chef and his actress wife Nicola Peltz? Because all the other children — Harper and her brothers Romeo, Cruz— were on hand at the various celebrations. We initially heard that Brooklyn was unhappy that Romeo was dating his ex fling from years ago, Kim Turnbull, and didn't want to be around that dynamic. But now People magazine is reporting something much more intense is going on that has nothing to do with the two brothers. As per the mag, tensions have been building for years between Peltz and Victoria, who had a well documented BTS feud over ... fashion. Talk of problems started when the 'Airbender' star chose not to wear a dress designed by the former Spice Girl for her 2022 Palm Beach wedding to Brooklyn. Peltz later cleared up the matter to Variety saying the reason she didn't wear one of her mother in law's designs was that there was an issue with Victoria's atelier. The dress apparently wasn't the only issue at the nuptials, though. An insider tells People that Peltz is still resentful toward Posh, whom she believes stole the spotlight. Sources say the drama began when celebrity performer Marc Anthony took the stage for what was supposed to be one of the newlyweds' first dances. Before singing an undisclosed track, the salsa icon reportedly called Brooklyn to take the floor — not with his bride, but his mother. 'The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up,' Anthony said, according to People. 'Victoria Beckham!' A second guest who witnessed the scene reported that Peltz ran from the room in tears. 'Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose, when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn't understand was why,' the source added. 'It was such a jaw-dropping moment that it left the whole room in absolute shock — you could hear a pin drop.' Yet another individual blabbed to Page Six that the incident was 'deeply hurtful.' 'Unfortunately, this wasn't a one-off,' the individual said. 'It's a pattern that still happens to this day.' The soccer legend and style icon have yet to comment, but UK outlet Metro reports that the power couple is 'heartbroken' over the situation.

Is China finally lifting its K-pop ban? BTS company Hybe opens first office in Beijing
Photo: Facebook/Zoie Coups BEIJING: BTS's agency Hybe has opened its first office in Beijing as hopes grow that China may soon end its near-decade-long ban on K-pop performances, according to Bloomberg. A Hybe spokesperson said the company opened an outpost in Beijing last month. Recently, both Hybe and SM Entertainment have been strengthening their teams focused on the Chinese market. Just this week, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported that Tencent will be acquiring close to 10% of SM Entertainment for around US$180 million (S$232.13 million) in what would be one of the few major Chinese investments in a South Korean firm in recent years. The shares will come from Hybe, which is offloading its remaining 2.2 million SM Entertainment shares at 110,000 won each, based on a regulatory filing. There's growing anticipation that China may soon lift its unofficial ban on K-pop performances, which has been in place since 2016, driving up stock prices. Hybe shares have climbed 40% this year. SM Entertainment is up around 70%, and YG Entertainment, which manages Blackpink, has gained over 75%. Unlike SM, which had artists touring China before the ban, Hybe has had limited presence there. It shifted focus to the US and Japan instead, acquiring Ithaca Holdings—the company behind Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. /TISG
