Kashmera Shah and Krushna Abhishek are among the beloved celeb couples of the telly world, who are adored for their unfiltered banter and chemistry. They have a massive fan following on social media too. On May 30, as Krushna Abhishek celebrated his birthday, it wasn't him but Kashmera who surprised everyone by gifting herself a lavish present. She purchased a brand-new BYD Seal electric car that costs more than 40 lakhs in Mumbai. In her latest vlog, Kashmera Shah gave fans a glimpse of her special purchase. The video begins with her getting ready at home, sharing some lighthearted moments with her house helps. When Krushna arrives, Kashmera teases him by saying she has a surprise for him, building up the excitement by calling it a "big surprise." Krushna Abhishek, who is curious and a bit confused, admits he's unsure about what she's planning to buy. Kashmera cheekily hints that Krushna has unknowingly paid for the gift. The moment they arrive at the car showroom, Krushna is visibly shocked. He recalls signing cheques for Kashmera and realizes she used one to buy the car. Their sons, Krushnaag and Rayaan, add to the humor by teasing, 'Daddy ka paisa gaya' (Daddy's money is gone), leaving Krushna shocked. Kashmera then asks Krushna to join him, and then they welcome their car. Krushna again funnily mentions how his big amount has gone. The family performs a small cake-cutting ceremony, offers prayers, and drives the new car home.

Seal the deal on this Tesla Model 3 rival for just £289 a month
Packed with luxury features 354-mile range Just £289.01 a month Last week we spotted the Tesla Model 3 had slumped in price, offering potential buyers a market-leading electric saloon for less than £300 a month. But, if the Model 3 isn't quite your cup of tea, what are your options? Well, the BYD Seal is one of several alternatives, and just like the Model 3, lease deals are seeming to be seriously tempting right now. Advertisement - Article continues below Through the Auto Express Find a Car service, VIPGateway is offering BYD's electric saloon for just £289.01 a month. This two-year deal requires a £3,648.09 initial payment, and mileage is limited to 5,000 a year. However, a more flexible 8,000-a-year limit can be arranged for an extra £21.33 a month. There are only two versions of the BYD Seal, and this deal is for the entry-level model. In reality, though, unless you desperately want the all-wheel drive that comes with the top-spec car, the base-spec Design is all that you need. Calling it base spec is a little unfair as it's no poverty model. It's packed with luxuries, such as 19-inch alloys wheels, a 360-degree parking camera, an upmarket 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, and, rather impressively, electrically adjustable heated and ventilated front seats. Design gets a rear-mounted electric motor that packs a punchy 312bhp. It's enough to send the Seal to 62mph in under six seconds, while the ride and handling is tuned to be comfortable and cosseting. Under the swoopy body lies an 82.5kWh battery, giving the Seal a claimed driving range of 354 miles. A 10-80-per-cent top-up from a rapid charger will take around 40 minutes thanks to 150kW max charging capacity – that's a bit slower than rivals, but not too unreasonable. The Car Deal of the Day selections we make are taken from our own Auto Express Find A Car deals service, which includes the best current offers from car dealers and leasing companies around the UK. Terms and conditions apply, while prices and offers are subject to change and limited availability. If this deal expires, you can find more top BYD Seal leasing offers from leading providers on our BYD Seal hub page. Check out the BYD Seal deal or take a look at our previous Car Deal of the Day selection here…

Govt Incentives, Infra Investments Continue To Drive EV Adoption In India: Report
New Delhi: Government incentives and infrastructure investments are boosting local electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing and a range of policy measures and infrastructure developments are underway to help bridge the gap and push the market closer to the 2030 goal, a report showed on Wednesday. India's passenger vehicle (PV) sales grew 4.6 per cent in 2024 (year-on-year), surpassing 4.3 million units. Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) accounted for 2.5 per cent of total PV sales, marking a 16 per cent YoY increase, according to Counterpoint's latest 'India Passenger Vehicle Model Sales Tracker'. The increase in passenger BEV sales can be attributed to the launch of several new models, including the Tata MG Windsor, BYD Seal, BYD eMax 7 and the Tata refresh, among others. The Indian government has set ambitious targets for EV adoption. It aims to achieve 30 per cent EV penetration in the passenger vehicle segment, 80 per cent in the combined two-wheeler and three-wheeler segment and 70 per cent in the commercial vehicle segment by 2030. With Maruti Suzuki, India's largest PV player, and international BEV specialists like Tesla and VinFast entering the Indian market with competitively priced affordable and premium models, BEVs are projected to capture 5 per cent of the PV market by the end of 2025. Electric two-wheelers captured a 6.2 per cent share of total two-wheeler sales in 2024, reflecting an impressive 36 per cent YoY growth. Supported by incentives and tax breaks, electric two-wheelers are increasingly being used for last-mile delivery and micro-mobility applications. 'Food delivery and quick commerce companies are expanding their use of electric two-wheelers to promote a more sustainable and greener future. Besides, urban commuters are increasingly preferring EVs over traditional powertrains for their daily travel needs,' the report mentioned. While EV penetration in the commercial vehicle (CV) segment remains relatively low, the electric three-wheeler category is leading the transition. In 2024, electric three-wheelers accounted for a 55 per cent share in the three-wheeler category, implying that every second three-wheeler bought was an EV. This high share is primarily due to high demand from the last-mile delivery sector, said the report.

According to Abhik Mukherjee, automotive market analyst, US tariff hikes for automobiles and their components threaten India's growing component exports, but at the same time, they create opportunities for increasing component exports to other markets. With Maruti Suzuki, India's largest PV player, and international BEV specialists like Tesla and VinFast entering the Indian market with competitively priced affordable and premium models, BEVs are projected to capture 5 per cent of the PV market by the end of 2025. 2025 BYD Seal: Take a look at 5 key highlights of the newly updated electric sedan
BYD has launched the updated 2025 Seal electric sedan in India, strengthening its presence in the premium EV segment. Known for its sleek design and advanced technology, the Seal has already carved a niche for itself among EV buyers, with over 1,300 units sold in its first year. The 2025 version brings a mix of cosmetic upgrades, new features, performance enhancements, and refined ride dynamics — all while retaining competitive pricing. Here's a breakdown of the five biggest highlights of the new BYD Seal. 1 Revised pricing The 2025 BYD Seal is now available in three variants — Dynamic, Premium, and Performance — priced at ₹41 lakh, ₹45.70 lakh, and ₹53.15 lakh (all ex-showroom), respectively. While the entry-level Dynamic RWD variant retains its price from the outgoing model, the Premium and Performance variants get a modest ₹15,000 increase. This slight revision reflects the new features and enhanced driving technology on offer. 2 Interior and features The updated Seal includes several comfort-focused upgrades. A new power sunshade and a silver-plated dimming canopy now improve cabin ambience, especially under strong sunlight. The air-conditioning system has been revamped with a larger compressor for quicker cooling and an advanced purification module to improve air quality. Infotainment and convenience also see improvements, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now offered as standard. A newly added sound wave function enhances the acoustic quality inside the cabin, delivering a more immersive audio experience. 3 Battery, performance and range Each variant of the BYD Seal offers a different driving experience based on battery capacity, power output, and range. The base Dynamic variant is equipped with a 61.44 kWh battery and a rear-wheel drive setup, producing 201 bhp and 310 Nm of torque, with a claimed range of 510 kilometres. The mid-level Premium variant also uses rear-wheel drive but gets a larger 82.56 kWh battery, delivering 308 bhp and 360 Nm of torque, and the highest claimed range of 650 kilometres. The top-of-the-line Performance variant shares the same 82.56 kWh battery but features an all-wheel drive setup with dual motors. It puts out a significantly higher 523 bhp and 670 Nm of torque, while maintaining a strong claimed range of 580 kilometres. 4 Suspension and handling To complement the mechanical performance, the 2025 Seal now features advanced suspension systems for better ride quality and handling. The Premium variant is equipped with Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD), which adjust to varying road conditions to deliver a smoother and more controlled ride. The Performance variant goes a step further with BYD's DiSus-C intelligent damping system, which actively manages suspension responses in real time to enhance comfort and cornering stability, especially useful during spirited driving or on uneven surfaces.
