"Op Sindoor is valour of our army": Baba Ramdev hails IAF after it strikes terror camps
Kurukshetra (Haryana) [India], June 1 (ANI): Calling Operation Sindoor the valour of the Indian Armed Forces (IAF), Yog Guru Baba Ramdev said that the operation symbolises the unity and integrity of the country. Speaking to ANI, Baba Ramdev said that India is well aware of how to protect its borders and its nation. 'We have killed them (terrorists) by entering 100-200 kilometres inside their home. PM Modi said that Operation Sindoor had not stopped. Operation Sindoor is the valour of our army. It is a symbol of the unity and integrity of the country, and this is the army of the new India. India knows how to protect its borders and its nation,' he told ANI. India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in response to the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives, including one Nepali citizen. Yog guru Baba Ramdev further said that India is, by nature, a Hindu nation. He said, in the coming times, he aims to connect 500 crore people of the world with yoga, spirituality and the values of Sanatan. 'India is a Hindu nation by nature, and the ancestors of those who call themselves Muslims, Christians or by any other name were also Hindus, Indians and worshippers of nature and culture; this is the ultimate truth. Now, gradually, everyone has started believing this... In the coming times, our aim is to connect more than 500 crore people of the whole world with yoga, spirituality and the values of Sanatan and this is the world victory journey of Sanatan Dharma,' Baba Ramdev asserted. Earlier, backing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's push for locally made products, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has called on citizens to wholeheartedly adopt 'Swadeshi' (indigenous) goods and services to help build a stronger and self-reliant India. Highlighting the economic dimension of the Swadeshi movement, Ramdev urged citizens to boycott products from China, the United States, and Europe. Speaking to ANI on Tuesday, Ramdev said, 'The people should support PM Modi's call for 'swadeshi' products because the PM wants to achieve the aim of the 'Viksit Bharat' and wants to make the country an economic and spiritual superpower. To achieve this, we need to boycott products from China, the US, and Europe. The day India starts using 'swadeshi', our economy will get stronger, and the Indian rupee will also become stronger against the Dollar, Pound, and Euro.' He also emphasised the importance of embracing traditional Indian practices in healthcare. 'In the health sector, we should opt for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy,' he said. Ramdev also appealed to Indians to reconsider travel to foreign countries, particularly those he claimed are involved in anti-India activities. 'We should avoid making trips to foreign nations, specifically to countries like Turkey.' (ANI)

What made Dant Kanti a sought-after choice for oral health? Consumers weigh In!
The Indian consumer landscape is evolving, and there is growing inclination toward natural and Ayurvedic products. This trend is clearly visible in the oral care segment, where Patanjali 's Dant Kanti toothpaste has emerged as a popular alternative to conventional brands. Backed by a Indian first identity and traditional herbal ingredients, Dant Kanti has notably changed and shifted consumer preferences. A research paper titled 'A Study on Consumer Behavior Between Patanjali's Dant Kanti and Other Company's Toothpaste: Special Reference to Banswara District' by Ashwin Chouhan and Dr. Rajiv Gandhi explores this change in consumer behaviour . The study compares the buying patterns and satisfaction levels of toothpaste users in Banswara, Rajasthan, and provides insights into why people are choosing herbal options over established names. For many, Dant Kanti is more than just a toothpaste. It is a representation of Ayurvedic wellness and national pride, and is formulated with herbs like neem, clove, turmeric, and babool. It is also marketed as a holistic dental solution because the ingredients, rooted in ancient Indian medicine, are believed to help with gum health, oral hygiene, and give fresh breath without the use of harmful chemicals. Unlike mainstream brands that emphasise cosmetic benefits like whitening or minty freshness, Dant Kanti appeals to consumers looking for health-first options. The brand's identity is strongly tied to Baba Ramdev 's image and Patanjali's mission of reviving India's traditional knowledge systems. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Cost Of Amusement Park Equipment From Mexico Might Surprise You - See Tips Amusement Park Equipment | search ads Click Here Undo The study and consumer response The research conducted in Banswara surveyed 300 people to understand their toothpaste preferences. And while the number of users was comparatively less, the Dant Kanti users displayed a higher level of satisfaction and brand loyalty compared to others. One key takeaway from the study was the motivation behind choosing Dant Kanti. Among its users, 41% preferred it due to its Ayurvedic composition, indicating that natural ingredients played a major role in the buying decision. In contrast, users of other brands prioritised traits like whitening and germ protection. Another interesting observation was how family influences purchases. Around 34% of Dant Kanti users were influenced by their parents when selecting toothpaste, while a significant portion made independent choices. Plus, a lot of consumers showed brand loyalty to Dant Kanti, and they also expressed how they were eager to buy Dant Kanti owing to Baba Ramdev's association with it. This showed that personal trust in the endorser can deeply impact consumer confidence, particularly in health-related products. The road ahead for Dant Kanti As herbal and Swadeshi products continue gaining traction, there's strong potential for Dant Kanti to expand its reach, especially in rural markets where trust in traditional medicine is already high. The study suggests that improving distribution, offering better discounts, and enhancing awareness in underpenetrated regions could help Patanjali capture a larger share of the oral care market. To grow further, Patanjali may also consider investing in scientific validation of its products. This would not only appeal to urban and health-conscious consumers but also help counter criticism regarding its efficacy. One step to a healthier you—join Times Health+ Yoga and feel the change

Cataract surgery scaring you? Ayurveda has some non-invasive solutions
Cataract, a common ocular condition that happens with the opacification of the lens, is known in Ayurveda as Timira, and eventually can lead to Linganasa, or complete vision loss. And while modern medicine treats cataract primarily through surgical removal of the clouded lens, Ayurveda gives people a medical management of early and some moderate stages through treatments that are although centuries old, they still hold merit in clinical trials. These herbal remedies and procedures aim to restore vision and halt the degeneration of the lens naturally. Understanding Cataract in Ayurvedic terms In Ayurvedic ophthalmology, Timira is one of the earliest stages of vision deterioration. It is described as the vitiation of Doshas in the netra-mandala, or the eye structure, and it leads to dysfunction of the retinal zone and visual perception. When not treated early, Timira may progress to Linganasa. Cataract, in particular, is considered a Kapha-dominant Timira, where the Kapha dosha, along with medas accumulates over the lens, leading to opacity. The treatments for early stages as mentioned in Ayurveda Ayurvedic management of Cataract emphasises early intervention, and the treatment involves a combination of internal medicine (Aushadha), external therapies, dietary regulations, and lifestyle modifications. Certain preparations are used for the treatment that are considered beneficial for the eyes, and these include consuming medicated ghee, and using a mix of Triphala, and other herbs that nourish ocular tissues, pacify vitiated doshas, and halt the progression of lens opacity. There are also nasal therapies where medicated oils or powders are passed through the nose to clear the channels connecting the head and eyes. There are also certain detox therapies that purify the doshas, especially Pitta and Kapha, and purgation therapies are used to remove vision disorders. Ayurveda also recommends using and applying on the eyes, a paste of Copper, Triphala, conch shell dust, Kanta, and Vyosa. When prepared into a wick and applied like Kajal below the eyes, this can help treat certain conditions of vision loss. Apart from decoctions, herbs, and more Ayurveda has also always advocated for lifestyle changes to treat diseases and disorders, and Cataract is no different. It is advised by people to avoid exposure to excessive heat, dust, wind, and bright lights. People are also asked to practice Trataka meditation, where you gaze onto a single source of light, and when done under guidance and correctly, it helps to improve focus and ocular muscle strength. In which cases should one opt for Surgery? While Ayurveda gives substantial relief and reversal in early-to-moderate cataract stages, advanced stages, where the lens is fully opaque, may not respond to medical therapy alone. In such cases, surgery is advised, followed by Ayurvedic recovery protocols to preserve long-term ocular health.
