Rapper shocks with admission he ‘doesn't eat and just drinks a bunch of water'

Published Updated Machine Gun Kelly has worried fans with his confession that he barely eats anything and just has 'a bunch of water' instead, a diet which could be 'dangerous' according to medical experts. Apparently, the Bad Things rapper – who recently welcomed a little girl with ex-partner Megan Fox – lives off bone broth, kimchi, and water. While promoting his new album Lost Americana, MGK appeared in a food-eating interview with Ladbible, but this has sparked a resurgence in concern about his diet. In a resurfaced clip, originally posted last month on Instagram account HipHop-N-More, the 35-year-old star revealed: 'I don't really eat. I just do water a bunch.' The men surrounding him were slightly confused, asking if he meant he followed a fasting diet, to which he nodded. 'Like, I ate that burger 'cause we're streaming,' MGK explained and praised his friend's cooking skills, but another man asked if they weren't filming, what would he have eaten. 'Probably water,' came the new father' s shocking reply, prompting concerned questions about if he feels 'lightheaded' at all. 'Yeah, sometimes. I'll eat, like, a couple times a week,' the Home rapper confessed, stating his meals mainly consist of 'bone broth with kimchi and sauerkraut.' He added he will have celery juice and coconut water 'sometimes', with his diet rounded out by cigarettes and coffee. 'Because it has probiotics, you know?' MGK continued. 'So, like, when you do those water fasts, the only thing that's crazy is it kills all the good bacteria in you, too, so you gotta put the pro[biotics].' His friends declared he was 'healthy as hell' before one quoted a supposed study claiming that 'one seven-day fast removes like 80% of cancer-causing cells from your body'. Metro was unable to verify the existence of this study. The NHS explains on their website: 'Cancer is a condition where cells in the body grow in an uncontrolled way.' Cancer occurs when a cell undergoes a genetic mutation, causing it to divide and grow uncontrollably, so all cells in the body are potentially cancer-causing. Dr Wuraola Odunlami, a London-based GP and founder of Seazenal, told Metro there is 'ongoing scientific interest in the role of fasting in health, including its potential relationship to cancer biology' However, she stated: 'It is important to clarify that fasting does not 'starve' cancer cells in a way that cures or treats cancer, nor does it 'remove 80% of cancer-causing cells'. Cancer is a highly complex disease with many subtypes, and tumour cells often adapt metabolically to survive under stress conditions, including fasting.' MacMillan 's website debunks claims that fasting can stop you getting cancer, adding: 'There is no good evidence that fasting reduces overall cancer risk. Macmillan cancer support If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed with cancer, Macmillan can offer support and information. You can contact their helpline on 0808 808 00 00 (7 days a week from 8am to 8pm), use their webchat service, or visit their site for more information. The cancer charity noted that you can 'help to reduce your risk by keeping a healthy weight and eating a balanced diet' but there is 'no one diet that can prevent cancer.' As for MGK's water fasting diet, there are some studies that suggest short periods of time may improve health, but fasting for long periods is detrimental. Heathline acknowledged that 'water fasting may also promote autophagy, a process in which your body breaks down and recycles old, potentially dangerous parts of your cells.' However, 'water fasting has many risks and can be very dangerous if followed for too long.' The outlet added you should not fast for longer than 24-72 hours 'without medical supervision because of health risks.' MGK has previously shared his workout routine with Men's Health, consisting of five sessions per week to keep in shape for his energetic performances. 'When you physically feel good, mentally feel good,' he said, adding: 'I'm not Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, but people should look at me and think, If this guy can get into the gym, I can, too.' Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox finally reveal daughter's unique name

Machine Gun Kelly has subtly revealed the unique name of his newborn daughter with Megan Fox. The Home singer, 35, and Transformers actress, 39, welcomed their first child in March, confirming that their 'little celestial seed' had arrived with a sweet post on Instagram. The former couple have remained tight-lipped over the details, and are yet to share any pictures or videos showing her face. However, in a new social media video, the dad-of-two finally introduced fans to the little one, announcing her name as Saga Blade Fox-Baker. In the clip, MGK – real name Colson Baker – could be seen playing music for the little one as she giggled in delight, with the caption simply reading: 'Saga Blade Fox-Baker ❤️‍🔥 thank you for the ultimate gift @meganfox.' He turned off the comments under the post, while Megan still has no posts on her public page. Fans raced to unpack the update on social media, with many agreeing that it 'fits them as a couple'. Twitter user Rachel posted: 'I'm sobbing. What a beautiful name.' Kate agreed: 'Saga Blade really is the most MGK/Megan Fox name choice I could ever imagine.' Kiku yelled: 'ITS SO CUTE AND CREATIVE.' Over on Reddit, Wild-Stop609 posted: 'I initially read it as Sage Blade Fox Baker. I thought that Sage wasn't too weird of a name, then I realized it was Saga.' 'Naming a child who is the product of a very on/off relationship 'Saga' is so funny to me,' Ampersands-guitars said. 'But I don't hate it, the name fits them as a couple.' As Tiny-External-5317 added: 'I actually like it! could have been way worse.' Megan gave birth to Saga earlier this year, and is already mom to Noah, Bodhi and Journey with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, while MGK fathered daughter Casie from a previous relationship. The pair first met while filming Midnight in the Switchgrass in March 2020, and grew close on set. Following the end of her 10-year marriage with Brian, the mom-of-four made things public with the Bad Things rapper and they got engaged at the beginning of 2022. Things became rocky for the on-off couple, with fans stunned when they confirmed their baby news in November. Alongside a snap of her baby bump, and a positive pregnancy test, Megan told Instagram followers: 'Nothing is ever really lost. welcome back.' Although they are no longer dating, an insider previously told People Magazine that they are focused on co-parenting their little girl together. More Trending 'Whatever issues they have, Megan and MGK both are on the same page when it comes to co-parenting,' the source said. 'Right now they're amicable.' 'No one would be surprised if they gave their relationship another try down the line,' they added. 'But right now they're focused on what's best for their daughter.' Got a story?
