Bahrain Holds Ceremony Marking Laylat Al Qadr and Closing of 29th Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize
TDT | Manama Under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments, organized the annual ceremony marking Laylat Al Qadr and the closing event of the 29th edition of the Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize. The ceremony, which took place in a vibrant atmosphere, was attended by Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the SCIA. In his address, Shaikh Abdulrahman expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty the King for his unwavering support of the event and the award. He highlighted His Majesty's ongoing dedication to nurturing Islamic events and initiatives in Bahrain, particularly those focusing on the Quran, as a reflection of the Kingdom's commitment to preserving and promoting religious values.

Stage set for Quran prize ceremony
Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, a ceremony marking Laylat Al Qadr and the honouring of the winners of the 29th edition of Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize, will be held tonight at the Ahmed Al Fateh Mosque immediately after Tarawih prayers. The event is open to the public. It is organised by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments. In this year's edition of the Quran grand prize, 4,242 contestants of both genders: 1,598 males and 2,644 females.

Final Qualifiers of Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize Begin with 75 Participants
Manama: Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the final qualifiers of the Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize commenced today, with 75 contestants advancing from an initial 4,242 participants. The competition is organised by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. According to Bahrain News Agency, Abdulla Al Omari, Director of Holy Quran Affairs at the Ministry, stated that the competition features seven categories, including memorisation, recitation, and specialised contests for school students, individuals with disabilities, inmates, non-Arabic speakers, and the general public. In addition to the main competition, several incentive awards will be presented, including Oldest and Youngest Participant, 'Mizmar Dawood,' Best Quran Centre, 'Family Under the Shade of the Quran,' and Best Local Quran Competition.
