Madness of religious extremism: Baloch leader condemns Munir's nuke threat to India
Washington: Tara Chand, President of Baloch American Congress, on Wednesday slammed Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir for making nuclear threats, calling him a "fake Field Marshal" and an "enemy" of humanity. This comes as Munir, during his US visit over the weekend, warned that Pakistan will never allow India to choke the Indus River and will defend its water rights at all costs, even if the forces will have to destroy any dam that India seeks to build on it. Chand, also a former Cabinet Minister in the Government of Balochistan, took to X and posted, "Pakistan's fake Field Marshal, General Asim Munir, who has threatened in America to destroy India and the world with his nuclear bombs, should be ashamed of himself. He is the number one enemy of humanity, driven by the madness of religious extremism under the banner of Islam. He seeks to destroy the world along with India." Flagging it as a wake-up call, the US-based Baloch leader called on the world leaders to take back all of Pakistan's nuclear weapons and impose economic, political, and international sanctions on the country. Raising concern, Chand stated that before "religiously-motivated" Pakistan and its leadership can act on their destructive ambitions, their nuclear weapons have to be removed in order to prevent the rogue state from bringing harm to the world. Munir, the Pakistani media reported on Monday, visited two US cities over the weekend and flew to Belgium on Sunday after completing his second high-profile trip to the United States in less than two months. Earlier in May, Chand wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and lauded India's decision to hold the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance. He also urged New Delhi to provide support to the "free Balochistan" movement. On behalf of the Baloch community in America, he extended his gratitude to PM Modi for the stance India has taken regarding the plight of the Baloch in Pakistan since 2016. "Your mention of Balochistan in your speech at the Red Fort was welcomed by the Baloch worldwide as a sign of moral support for a nation occupied, subjugated, and terrorised by Pakistan. It gave great hope to my Baloch people," the letter mentioned. "I laud your wise decision of holding the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance and making it clear to the jihadist generals of Pakistan that blood and water cannot flow together," it added. He mentioned that since Pakistan's occupation of Balochistan in 1948, the Baloch people have been severely oppressed by the machinery of the rogue state. Chand slammed the jihadist Pakistani Army for the countless forcible disappearances and killings of the people of Balochistan. He described the abuses as a part of the strategy adopted by Islamabad to suppress the freedom struggle movement of Balochistan, which the people have been waging since Pakistan forcibly annexed Balochistan. The Baloch leader had requested the Indian government to adopt a policy of political, moral, and diplomatic support for the Baloch national resistance against the occupation of Pakistan.

Baloch Leader Urges PM Modi To Support 'Free Balochistan Movement', Lauds Indus Treaty Suspension
Last Updated: The Baloch leader condemned Pakistan for decades of atrocities against the Baloch people, including enforced disappearances, torture, and genocide. Tara Chand, President of the Baloch American Congress, urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday to provide substantial support to the 'Free Balochistan Movement'. In a strongly worded letter made public, Chand condemned Pakistan for decades of atrocities against the Baloch people, including enforced disappearances, torture, and genocide. In a post on X, Chand wrote: 'I have written a letter to Prime Minister Modi… Urging @narendramodi to lend meaningful support for a free #Balochistan! The Baloch people face oppression and genocide under Pakistan's regime. A free Balochistan would be a blessing for peace-loving India. Stand with us for justice!" He also attached the letter with his post. I have written a letter to Prime Minister Modi which is attached in the tweet. 📢 Urging @narendramodi to lend meaningful support for a free #Balochistan! The Baloch people face oppression and genocide under Pakistan's regime. A free Balochistan would be a blessing for… — Dr. Tara Chand (@drtchand) May 23, 2025 This appeal was conveyed through two formal letters sent on behalf of the Baloch American Congress, directly addressed to the Prime Minister's Office in Delhi. In his communication, Chand expresses appreciation for the Indian leadership's prior attention to the Balochistan issue, particularly noting PM Modi's remarks during his Red Fort speech, which he sees as a demonstration of moral support that inspired hope among the oppressed Baloch population globally. He asserted that the Baloch people have suffered genocidal-like acts committed by a "jihadist army" supported by Pakistan's dominant military establishment at Rawalpindi GHQ. "Governed by a jihadist army, this poorly conceived country is accountable for the disappearances, torture, deaths, and displacement of thousands of my countrymen," the letter claims. He stressed that these actions are part of a larger campaign to suppress the Baloch national liberation movement, which has been ongoing for several decades. He also pointed out that China's involvement in Balochistan as a colonial force presents an additional geopolitical danger. Tara Chand expressed disappointment that the Baloch national liberation movement has not gained international visibility, noting, "Outside of the Indian media, there is scant acknowledgement of the atrocities committed by the Pakistani state in Occupied Balochistan." He urged India to assume a leading role on the global stage in raising awareness about this situation. "Without substantial moral and political backing from the state level, Pakistan and its allies could extinguish the national resistance of the Baloch people, ushering in a new, more ominous phase of colonialism in Balochistan," the letter indicates. The document highlighted that Balochistan's abundant natural resources and strategic coastal position are crucial for regional stability. Baloch Leader On Indus Treaty Chand also commended Prime Minister Modi's decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, characterising it as a courageous move that conveys a powerful message to Pakistan. "I commend your astute decision to place the Indus Waters Treaty on hold and to clarify to the jihadist generals of Pakistan that blood and water cannot coexist," the letter quotes. He stressed that the Baloch people hold high hopes for India's leadership and are looking towards the Indian government with optimism. The Baloch American Congress (BAC) is a registered political entity that aims to advocate for the Baloch national struggle for the right to self-determination and to defend the socio-cultural and political rights of the Baloch Diaspora in the United States. Baloch American Congress President urges PM Modi to back Free Balochistan movement
Baloch American Congress President urges PM Modi to back Free Balochistan movement Washington DC [US] May 24 (ANI): Tara Chand Baloch, the President of the Baloch American Congress and a former Cabinet minister in the Balochistan government, has addressed a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting India's ethical, political, and diplomatic backing for the Baloch people's national resistance against Pakistan's dominance. This appeal was conveyed through two formal letters sent on behalf of the Baloch American Congress, directly addressed to the Prime Minister's Office in Delhi. In his communication, Chand expresses appreciation for the Indian leadership's prior attention to the Balochistan issue, particularly noting PM Modi's remarks during his Red Fort speech, which he sees as a demonstration of moral support that inspired hope among the oppressed Baloch population globally. 'Your reference to Balochistan in your Red Fort address was embraced by Baloch people around the world as an indication of moral support for a nation that has been occupied, subjugated, and terrorised by Pakistan,' Dr Chand stated. The letter recounts the history of Balochistan's coercive incorporation into Pakistan following the departure of the British in 1948, an event Dr. Chand describes as the start of 'a cruel occupation.' He asserts that the Baloch people have suffered genocidal-like acts committed by a 'jihadist army' supported by Pakistan's dominant military establishment at Rawalpindi GHQ. 'Governed by a jihadist army, this poorly conceived country is accountable for the disappearances, torture, deaths, and displacement of thousands of my countrymen,' the letter claims. The document highlighted that Balochistan's abundant natural resources and strategic coastal position are crucial for regional stability. Chand argued that a liberated and cooperative Balochistan would benefit peace-loving individuals in India, prompting India to regard Balochistan as a critical geopolitical element of the 21st century. Chand also commended Prime Minister Modi's choice to postpone the Indus Waters Treaty, characterising it as a courageous move that conveys a powerful message to Pakistan. 'I commend your astute decision to place the Indus Waters Treaty on hold and to clarify to the jihadist generals of Pakistan that blood and water cannot coexist,' the letter quotes. Pakistan has ‘lost control over 80% of Balochistan,' says Baloch leader
In a blistering interview with TAG TV, Razzak Baloch, Secretary General of the Baloch American Congress, accused Pakistani authorities of losing control over most of Balochistan, claiming that even the military is too afraid to patrol key cities after dark."Pakistani forces cannot even leave Quetta after dark," Baloch told the Canada-based news channel. "From 5 pm to 5 am, roads are deserted by the army out of fear," he added, highlighting a collapse in law and to Baloch, more than 80% of the resource-rich province is no longer under effective control of the Pakistani government. He warned that Islamabad faces a situation eerily reminiscent of 1971, when Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) broke away following a brutal military crackdown. Razzak Baloch interview was carried by news agency ANI, and come at a time when Baloch separatist movements have intensified their activities, coupled with large-scale protests and detentions of prominent activists like Marang Baloch. 'The Pakistani army should withdraw with dignity now, before they leave their boots behind like they did in Bangladesh,' Baloch emphasized the urgency of international recognition for the Baloch struggle and appealed to democratic countries to host representatives of the movement. He also stressed the ongoing imprisonment of Marang Baloch and the persistence of mass protests across the province as signs of a deepening acknowledging the efforts of domestic political figures like Sardar Akhtar Mengal, Baloch insisted that foreign support is essential to dismantle what he described as Pakistani military strongholds in cities like Quetta and whether India should host a Baloch government-in-exile, he responded defiantly, 'We do not beg. We speak with our masculinity. But if India supports Balochistan's freedom, the doors of Balochistan will open to India.'He warned that delaying international support would empower what he called the 'barbarian army,' leading to consequences not only for Balochistan but for the broader South Asian a final note, Baloch said, 'This is a moment for peace and regional harmony. The oppression must end—not just in Balochistan, but across all of Pakistan's provinces.'Tune InMust Watch
