Bandi Sanjay urges Gadkari to release CRIF funds for Telangana road projects
New Delhi/Hyderabad, July 28 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi today and urged him to release pending Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) allocations for various road development projects in Telangana, particularly in his Karimnagar parliamentary constituency. During the meeting, Bandi Sanjay submitted proposals amounting to Rs 113 crore under the CRIF, which include key infrastructure works aimed at improving rural connectivity and addressing long-standing transportation issues. Among the proposals submitted are the construction of a high-level bridge over the Maneru River on the Bavupeta-Khazipur road in Kothapalli mandal, and the widening of the Gundlapalli-Pothur road in Ganneruvaram mandal. Additional proposals include the construction of bridges between Chandurthi and Motkuraopet, a bridge up to Kistampalli, and a high-level bridge over the flood canal between Arkandla and Kannapur villages in Shankarapatnam mandal. The Minister also handed over other pending road proposals related to his constituency for immediate consideration. Responding positively, Gadkari assured Bandi Sanjay that an appropriate decision would be taken soon on the release of CRIF funds for Telangana. He appreciated the urgency and said the proposals would be reviewed at the earliest. Bandi Sanjay also raised the issue of the much-delayed Karimnagar–Jagityala road expansion project. He reminded the Union Minister that a detailed proposal for converting the road into a four-lane stretch had already been prepared with an estimated cost of Rs 2,151.35 crore ahead of the last elections. However, the tender process for the project has not begun despite repeated assurances from officials. Taking serious note of the delay, Gadkari immediately called senior officials of the concerned department and sought an explanation. Officials informed him that the project had faced hurdles due to public objections and legal issues, but clarified that all such obstacles have now been cleared and a final report has been submitted to the committee concerned. Gadkari assured that once the committee gives its approval, the tender process will be initiated without delay and the long-pending Karimnagar–Jagityala road expansion work will be launched soon, an official statement said. Bandi sanjay slams Cong govt over BC Declaration
Hyderabad: UnionMinister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar stirred a major controversy on Sunday after launching a direct attack on the Telangana Congress government, accusing it of introducing a 'Muslim Declaration Bill' under the guise of a Backward Classes (BC) Declaration. Speaking to the media after inaugurating the Central government-funded 'Critical Care Block' at Karimnagar District Main Hospital, Bandi Sanjay claimed the state government's reservation proposals unfairly favor Muslims at the expense of BCs and Hindus. 'Under the so-called BC Declaration, 27 percent reservations are being implemented for BCs, and an additional 5 percent is supposedly for BCs, but out of that, 10 percent is indirectly being granted to Muslims. Effectively, the Congress is making a 100 percent reservation for Muslims in Telangana in the name of the BC Declaration. This is not a BC Declaration, it is a Muslim Declaration,' asserted Bandi Sanjay. He further alleged there was a wider 'conspiracy' to turn Hindus into a minority in Telangana, warning that if what he called this 'poisonous tree' was left unchecked, it could spread across India. Minister Bandi Sanjay firmly stated he would oppose the bill unless Muslims were removed from the BC category and demanded that full 42 percent reservations go only to BCs. 'I will convince the Centre to approve the bill only after Muslims are excluded from the BC list,' he insisted. In a political challenge, Bandi Sanjay referred to claims that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would merge with the BJP if cases against K. Kavitha were filed, stating the proposal by K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) before CM Ramesh was 'absolutely true' and daring KTR to a public debate. 'If you have the courage, let's discuss in front of everyone and see who is right,' he challenged. On the hospital's new Critical Care Block, Sanjay emphasized that the entire Rs 23.75 crore funding came from the Centre's PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM ABHIM). He pressed the state government to quickly appoint medical staff and allocate operational funds, warning of adverse effects on patient care due to poor state support. He presented budget statistics, attributing the near doubling of health and education budgets to Prime Minister Narendra Modi since 2014. He highlighted the rapid expansion of AIIMS, medical colleges, and the increase in MBBS and postgraduate seats across India. He also claimed that there have been revolutionary changes in healthcare access for the poor under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Switching focus to the Jubilee Hills by-election, the Union Minister strongly criticized the alleged demolition of the Banjara Hills Peddamma temple, attributing the action to an attempt to appease Muslim voters. 'If this is not rectified and an apology issued, Hindus will unite and send a clear message at the ballot box,' he warned. Bandi Sanjay also questioned Rahul Gandhi's religious loyalties and accused the Congress party of orchestrating a 'grand conspiracy' to grant Muslims undue reservations while dividing Hindus. 'Rahul Gandhi's comments and actions make his contempt for Hindus and India evident,' he alleged, urging the electorate to send a strong rebuke to the Congress in the upcoming local body polls.

Bandi takes dig at BC declaration, calls it ‘Muslim Declaration'
Hyderabad: Union minister of state (home) and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay on Sunday dubbed Congress' BC declaration at Kamareddy during the 2023 election campaign as a 'Muslim Declaration', stating that it prioritises the interests of the community over those of the Backward Classes (BC). Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Speaking to the media after inaugurating a hospital in Karimnagar, the minister stated, "Congress is giving a false impression to BCs. They are only offering an additional 5% reservations. BCs already have 27% reservations, and if the 10% reservations for Muslims are removed, then BCs would only receive 5% extra as part of the 42% reservations." He emphasized that what was being presented was not BC reservation, but rather reservation allocated to Muslims. Bandi Sanjay vowed to block the BC reservation bill, accusing Rahul Gandhi of mocking Hindus and asserting that he was threatening Hinduism. "We don't have a problem with the BC reservation bill if they exclue Muslims in it, otherwise we will stop this. If we don't stop this here, it will become a template across India," he stated. He also mentioned that Hindu organisations across Telangana were expressing anguish over demolition of the Banjara Hills Peddamma Temple. He questioned whether the govt was trying to appease a community that constitutes 30% in Jubilee Hills for the sake of by-election votes. Bandi Sanjay pointed out that many temples, mosques, and churches were located on roads in Hyderabad and Telangana, questioning the necessity of demolishing the Banjara Hills temple. He demanded the immediate suspension of the officials responsible for the demolition of the temple.

Temple demolished in Hyderabad for Muslim votes, says MoS Bandi Sanjay
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday alleged that a temple was demolished in Hyderabad to get votes of 30 per cent Muslim voters in the upcoming by-election to the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency. He told media persons in Karimnagar that the Congress government in Telangana demolished the Peddamma temple in Banjara Hills for vote bank politics. He demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy tender an apology and immediately suspend officials responsible for the demolition of the temple. 'How many Temples, Masjids and Churches are on roads? But what was the need to demolish the Banjara Hills Peddamma temple? The Congress government should immediately suspend the officials responsible. Is the government trying to appease a community who are 30 per cent in Jubilee Hills for votes in by-elections?' he asked. The BJP leader asked if the government has the courage to demolish places of worship of other communities. He stated that the Hindu community was ready to teach a lesson to the Congress government for demolishing the temple. The Minister of State alleged that the Congress betrayed Hindus and Backward Classes (BCs). Bandi Sanjay said that the 'BC declaration' released by the Congress at Kamareddy in the 2023 Assembly elections was in reality a 'Muslim declaration'. He alleged that the Congress wants to give 10 per cent reservation to Muslims and increase the reservation for BCs by only 5 per cent. The MoS also alleged that Hindus in Telangana were being projected as a 'minority' as part of a conspiracy of the Congress party. 'By giving reservations to 100 per cent Muslims, attempts are being made to show Hindus as a minority,' he said. He reiterated that the BJP would not allow 42 per cent reservation for BCs if Muslims are included in BCs. 'We have to stop this here as the Congress plans to implement this Muslim declaration across the country,' he said. Bandi Sanjay alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wants to weaken the Hindu community by breaching the 50 per cent reservation cap. He remarked that Rahul Gandhi would fail just like his great-grandfather, grandmother, and father failed in their attempts. On Congress leaders calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a 'converted BC,' Bandi Sanjay questioned Gandhi's own caste and religion. He pointed out that PM Modi's BC status was recognised by a previous Congress government. 'Rahul Gandhi's grandfather was a Parsi, and his mother is an Italian Christian. Is Rahul Gandhi a converted Christian, a converted Muslim or a converted Hindu?' he asked.
