Military delegation from 40 African nations on visit to China to bolster military ties
Beijing, May 6 (UNI) A delegation of nearly 100 African military officers, representing 40 African nations, are on a visit to China aimed at enhancing military cooperation between African countries and Beijing. The visit is at the invitation of China's Ministry of National Defense (MND). The delegation, from countries including Egypt, Mozambique, Tanzania and Kenya, is slated to visit Beijing, Changsha, Shaoshan and several other locations for exchanges. The visit concludes on May 15. According to the MND, the visit, the fourth of its kind, is aimed at translating the agreements reached at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation into tangible actions and deepening traditional friendship between the Chinese and African military forces. The initiative strives to bolster mutual comprehension among military officers of the respective regions and to contribute towards forging an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era, the MND said. Ambassador Yin Chengwu accompanied Shenzhen Mayor Qin Weizhong to pay a courtesy call to Liberian President Boakai
On April 17, Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, accompanied Mayor of Shenzhen Mr. Qin Weizhong, who was visiting Liberia, to pay a courtesy call to H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia. Signing Ceremony of Agreement of the Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Government of Zambia and the Government of China
On 21 March 2025, Sheng Wang, Chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Zambia, and Situmbeko Musokotwane, Minister of Finance and National Planning of Zambia, signed an agreement on economic and technical cooperation between China and Zambia on behalf of the two Governments. Chargé d'affaires Wang said that China and Zambia enjoy traditional friendship and have carried out a lot of fruitful practical cooperation. The agreement signed today is an important outcome of the implementation of the 2024 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. It can be foreseenthat the cooperation between China and Zambia in various fields will continue to be enhanced and the high-quality development of China-Zambia relations will be promoted for the benefit of the people of the two countries. Minister Musokotwane noted that he is very grateful to the Chinese government and people for their sincere help.
