39 Pieces Of Home Decor For Anyone With Expensive Taste But A Shrinking Bank Account

A gold arched bookcase you'll look at with the same expression Belle had the moment she first laid her eyes on Beast's library. And, I mean, who would blame you? It's gorgeous, has various tiers to display all your favorite odds 'n' ends, and will truly take your home decor to the next level. A luxurious faux-fur rug worthy of a spot in a grand old castle that has been carefully preserved since the 1800s. Or, ya know, next to your bed so your tootsies will be nice and warm when you finally convince yourself to get up and start your day. A statement checkered cutting board with a high-end feel to it without the cost. Hosting book club? Break this baby out and craft the most chic charcuterie board anyone has ever seen — so beautiful it might rival the too-hot-to-handle main character in the novel you're supposed to be discussing. A wavy corner bookshelf that'll ~wiggle~ its way right into your heart and home — it's so unique your mom will scold you the next time she visits, assuming you spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on it. Jokes on you, Mom! It's less than $200! A set of dried pampas grasses for a natural look you'll never tire of — great for anyone who is a newbie to decorating and fearful of overdoing it with something bold. It'll save you some dollars in the long run since these preserved beauties last much longer than standard supermarket flowers. A plush blanket reviewers swear is *just like* Barefoot Dreams but without the extra dollar signs on the price tag. It'll look oh-so-luxurious draped across your couch and you'll feel as if you're lounging inside a cloud when you wrap yourself up in it. A breathtaking essential oil diffuser that'll make you feel like you're unwinding in a fancy spa before bed when, in reality, it's just you, your cat, and your noisy neighbors arguing upstairs again. But, hey, at least your nostrils will be nicely hydrated and filled with a soothing scent! A set of amber glass soap dispensers with Aesop vibes you can use to fool anyone lucky enough to use your guest bathroom — fill 'em with your favorite scent for a fraction of the cost but without skimping on style. A vintage-inspired wall tapestry you'll never believe costs less than 15 bucks. For the price of about two grande Starbucks drinks, you can zhuzh up the blank space on your wall with a majestic little floral number. Sounds like a no-brainer to me! An electric kettle with a Smeg-like look to it that'll look so fabulous in your kitchen — you'll want to offer anyone who visits a cup of tea or a pour-over coffee the second they set foot inside. It has a thermometer to water to the exact temperature you need for your bevs and has an automatic shutoff built into it. And a coffee syrup dispenser set complete with premade flavor labels to help you transform that little space next to your coffee machine into one that looks just like the picture-perfect coffee shop you often daydream about quitting your corporate job to work for as a barista. Best keep working on that latte art! And vintage-inspired glass mugs to help you display your freshly crafted drinks with care — your coffee will look so beautiful in them you might never want to go out and buy one again. 😉 A set of faux coffee-table books inspired by the fancy-schmancy Assouline travel series, except they're *a lot* more practical! They open with a magnetic lid to become secret storage compartments so that you can hide your stash of chocolate treats from your partner. A trendy knotted throw pillow you can hug close to your chest while watching the drama unfold during the latest season of The White Lotus (when it's not being used as fancy decor, of course). A bunch of faux tulips (with over 17,000 5-star ratings!!!) that'll ensure your home has a touch of springtime ALL the time — *and* if you go on vacation, they'll still be standing beautifully when you return. A mixed set of flower-shaped coupe glasses featuring eye-catching colors and a vintage feel to 'em that you might not even want to hand drinks out in them when guests are over in fear of one being dropped — but good news, at this price point, you *ABSOLUTELY* can (and should). And/or an elegant set of square wineglasses you'll want to raise a toast to because they're just that lovely. They have a shocking resemblance to the ones you've likely been eyeing from Crate & Barrel but haven't wanted to commit to. These will certainly do the trick and garner you tons of compliments the next time you host a girls' night. A set of stoneware bowls that are so lovely and well made they could easily be mistaken for a West Elm item — their depth makes them perfect for everything from salad to cereal *and* they're dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. Now you'll just have to learn to cook... or seamlessly transfer your takeout meal into 'em to convince your partner you worked SO hard to make them dinner. 😉 A modern pendant light to upgrade your home's lighting situation while seamlessly blending in with the lovely decor you already have. No more fumbling around in your entryway for your keys — this beauty will light your way *and* look good doing it. A stainless-steel rainfall showerhead you can count on to make you feel like you're taking a few minutes to rinse off in the fabulous bathroom of your room at The Ritz-Carlton when, in reality, you're in your 1-bedroom apartment. A cross-hatch tissue holder no one really needs but, like, maybe we actually do... just look at it! The design will bring an elevated look to the tissue box you keep on hand in your living room, where you watch all your sad movies and read your sappy romance novels. A gold decorative mirror with the style of a fancy antique piece you'd likely pick up while thrifting — place it on your dresser or vanity and use it to elegantly showcase your favorite perfume bottles and the jewelry you wear every day (so you won't lose A glass mushroom lamp because scattered lighting/creating a mood is very much having a moment right now. Don't break the bank on one Urban Outfitters and West Elm when you might just change your mind about it when trends shift again! This one is lovely, unique, and comes in a bunch of colors that'll go with your space. Or a retro-styled lamp that looks like the one from Daniel's office in Ugly Betty (if you know, you know!) and will effortlessly elevate your work-from-home space. Or! A cutesy little table lamp you'll adore whether you prefer to-may-toh or toe-mah-toe. However you phrase it, this Urban Outfitters look-a-like will hold you over until you can get back into gardening this spring. Prismatic window film to add extra privacy and pizzazz to any room while creating a burst of color that'll make you want to croon "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." A roll of geometric peel-and-stick wallpaper that'll give your walls the modern upgrade they deserve — anyone who sets foot in your home will think "WOW!" and be blown away by your chic Wes Anderson–aesthetic. You can also use it to revamp bookshelves, drawers, cabinets, and more! And/or peel-and-stick floor tiles for anyone who has a deep-rooted hatred for the bathroom floor they inherited when they moved into their house — these are water-resistant (important!) and are so gorgeous once you apply them you'll likely find yourself redecorating your entire room around 'em. And glue-on foam ceiling tiles with the ability to transform any run-of-the-mill room into a Roman retreat. No one would ever guess that your over-the-top ceiling is actually made from the same material as the styrofoam cups you used to take a bite out of as a kid. (No? Just me?) An ornate, arched mirror with gorgeous details that'll bring some profound elegance into your home and set you up to make a cheeky joke like "if it's not baroque, don't fix it" if your partner ever suggests getting a new one. A duvet set with a buttery soft cover and two shams you'll have a very hard time convincing yourself *isn't* from a pricier brand — it comes in an array of trendy colors and is so affordable you can treat yourself to a different set for each season! An upholstered headboard that'll double as an accent wall and remind you of the fabulous hotel rooms you keep seeing on your favorite travel Instagram account. A chic glass candle in a stunning jar — it'll look gorgeous no matter where you decide to place it in your home. It also has a wooden wick that'll give the roaring fireplaces you see in the cabins of movies a run for their money. And a dazzling candle warmer with a lampshade reminiscent of a high-end crystal chandelier you'd likely see in the middle of a ballroom on Bridgerton. More importantly, you won't need to keep a stash of matches on hand *and* your fave candle will last basically forever since it won't actually be burning down when you pair it with this gadget. A faux monstera plant that'll make it appear like you 1. have impeccable decorating skills and 2. you know how to take care of plants. Even if neither of these things are true, no one visiting your home has to know. Let them go on thinking you're a natural interior designer/gardener. Or an artificial olive tree for anyone who has had their eye on the pricier versions found at Pottery Barn and West Elm but can't rationalize paying all that money for a fake plant (I hear ya!). Set this beauty up in any corner of your home, then sit back, relax, and admire how fabulous it looks. A floral desk mat that'll bring warm, soothing cottage core vibes to your workspace — a must-have if you WFH, moonlight as a podcaster on the weekends, or retreat to play video games whenever you have a free moment. A hand-blocked cotton quilt you'll never tire of seeing on your bed — it's designed to be used in all seasons, has the most beautiful floral design on it, and is reversible, so it'll feel like buying two blankets for the price of one. (Sweet!) And a 100% stained-glass transom window panel that'll seriously transform any space you hang it in — and for waaaaay cheaper than it would cost you to install a new window in your home. Can't you picture it? Basking in the sun as it streams beautifully through this colored glass? *Chef's kiss*

Emmerdale stars confirm very different futures for Belle and Ruby

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Emmerdale's Eden Taylor-Draper and Beth Cordingly have shed some light on what viewers can expect for Belle Dingle and Ruby Miligan in upcoming scenes. Belle, as viewers know, was abused by husband Tom King (James Chase) over a year-long period in a harrowing but powerful domestic abuse storyline. Tom was sentenced to three years in prison, with Belle subsequently filing for divorce as she looked to the future and took over Take A Vow in the wake of Leyla Harding's (Roxy Shahidi) tragic death. But just what does the future hold for her? That remains to be seen but star Eden teased what viewers can expect in a chat with Metro on the red carpet at the British Soap Awards 2025. 'I went through my new scripts last week,' she said with a smile, hinting of something positive, 'and maybe [something positive], yeah! Maybe .' Consider us intrigued . Discussing if Belle is ready for romance after her ordeal, Eden added: 'I think that's a journey she'll have to explore and hopefully the audience can go on that with her and we explore the ups and downs of that.' Upcoming scenes will see Belle taken aback when Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) suggests going into business with her. Beth Cordingly, meanwhile, spoke to us about what's in store for Ruby Milligan next week, confirming that she hands herself into the police over Anthony's murder following the discovery of a body. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The soap star also branded the character of Ruby a 'gift of a part'. ' More Trending When you come in and have that kind of storyline, you come in and everybody hates you, you unravel the layers and show why you're like that. Emmerdale's Belle joins forces with two villagers - and shock scenes follow

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) finds herself striking up a working relationship with two fellow villagers as Take A Vow makes its comeback in the wake of February's limousine tragedy. The business has been suffering since the tragic deaths of founder Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) and co-worker Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough), leaving Belle as its sole employee. But with local teenager April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) at a loose end since her experience living rough on the streets of Leeds, Belle agrees to give the youth a trial shift, boosting the business's ranks. At the same time, Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley) shows an interest, spurred on by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) to approach Belle as her new business partner. However, with April recognising a face from her past at a christening she's been sent to film, it's not long before calamity strikes. Between this and Belle's warning to keep the ever-unpopular Joe away from the business, the all-new and revitalised Take A Vow is off to a shaky start. As the week begins, April is struggling to revise for her GCSEs. Marlon Dingle's (Mark Charnock) heart breaks for his daughter when she struggles to sit an exam due to nerves. Belle suggests that she might be better off redoing the year, which Marlon hopes could be an option. With April looking for a summer job, Belle agrees to give her a trial shift at Take A Vow, putting her in charge of filming a Christening that week. However, April is horrified when she recognises the father of the baby from her time in Leeds – as a man who threatened to urinate her while she was homeless. Marlon and Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) are utterly unsuspecting as April's actions turn the event on its head. Elsewhere, Joe suggests to Dawn that they take over weddings at Home Farm, independent of Take A Vow. More Trending Instead, Dawn pitches herself to Belle as her new business partner. Belle agrees, but makes Dawn take a vow that the business will never take money from Joe. It's not long before he offers to loan her money for the business behind Belle's back, leaving Dawn torn. Days of Our Lives Recap: Brady's Vote Decides The Fate of University Hospital

Days of Our Lives Recap: Brady's Vote Decides The Fate of University Hospital originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: University Hospital – Lobby: Brady arrives and Kayla tells him there's no change in John's condition. She says if anyone can recover from these injuries, it's John Black. He asks to go see his father, but Kayla says Marlena is in with him now. Brady asks about Bo and Kayla says she thinks he is slowly getting better. Brady shifts and discusses the board meeting. Kayla says it's ultimately important to so many people. Brady isn't certain who he should vote for and Kayla feels the same. Just then, Brady gets a call from Kristen and Kayla heads off to check on her patients. Kristen says Rachel isn't feeling well and wants to bring her into the hospital. Brady says he's already there. Kristen says she doesn't think there is anything wrong physically. She says she thinks they have a lot to discuss. Salem PD – Jada's Office: Jada sends Shawn Douglas a text when Belle arrives to review a couple of cases. Jada tells her the entire station is pulling for her father. She asks about Shawn and wonders if Belle has heard from him. Belle says she hasn't heard from him and Jada mentions he called in sick. However, she doesn't really believe he's ill. Belle explains about Bo's condition and how Shawn Douglas was trying to get a dose of the Sepsis drug to help save his life. Belle says she is bound by client-attorney privilege but guesses he didn't want to incriminate Jada. She realizes this is all connected to the meth lab explosion. Belle doesn't provide any details but does say Shawn D was there. Belle shifts back to work and tells Jada she wants to nail the person who beat up Philip. Jada is on board and says she already spoke to Kate. Belle notes the Salem Inn is being cagey about the CCTV footage. She says she spoke to someone who saw Xander in the square at that time, but she would rather pull the hotel's footage. They shift to discussing EJ's shooting. Belle can't believe there's no update on Ava but notes she doesn't ever stay away from Salem for too long (Come home, Ava!). Jada says she no longer thinks Ava is the culprit. Belle agrees that Ava is dangerous but would never be this sloppy. DiMera Mansion – Living Room: Rachel tells Kristen she came downstairs the night of the shooting and saw Johnny, with a gun, fighting with EJ. Kristen wonders if it was just a dream but Rachel insists it was real-life. Kristen wonders why she hid the information and Rachel says she didn't want to get Johnny in trouble. Further, he got what he deserved. Kristen apologizes for putting that awful thought in her head. Rachel says he sent her grandmother away. Kristen pushes for even more details and Rachel says she didn't see Johnny shoot her uncle. She got scared and ran upstairs. Rachel says she went back to sleep and doesn't remember hearing a gunshot. Kristen tells her daughter to keep her story to herself so they don't get Johnny in trouble. Rachel says she feels even worse than she did before. Horton Square: Chad rushes over and helps EJ off the ground. EJ says he tripped but Chad pushes for more details. EJ explains about Johnny and Chad says he's sorry for what's happening between the two. Just then, EJ flashes back to the gunshot and says he deserves everything he's getting. Chad offers to speak with Johnny but EJ thinks it won't do any good. Chad asks about the Sepsis drug and asks EJ if he had anything to do with the theft. EJ isn't thrilled with the accusation but swears on their father's name he had nothing to do with stealing the drugs. Further, he had nothing to do with beating up Philip. EJ says they have to band together as being distracted allowed Titan to swoop in and take over DiMera Enterprises. With that, EJ says Chad needs to vote for him at today's board meeting. He thinks the hospital will bring their family a new and better chapter. Chad says his brother can count on him. Kiriakis Mansion – Living Room: Julie arrives with EJ and Xander's proposals for buying University Hospital so they can review them. Julie stops and wonders about Victor's missing portrait. Maggie says Xander happened. Julie wrongfully assumes Xander tossed the portrait because it originated with Konstantin. Maggie says Xander's anger was directed with Victor and all the baggage that comes with being his son. Julie thinks his reaction is rich and had no right to steal the portrait. Julie can't believe when she hears Xander attacked Philip. Maggie says he didn't confess but also didn't deny it. Further, Sarah thinks their marriage is over. Julie feels sorry for Sarah, but Maggie says, if he is responsible, she doesn't want Xander anywhere near her family. They both realize they have an impossible choice to make about the sale of the hospital. Brady Pub: Xander is leaving Sarah yet another voicemail and says she will not keep him from his daughter. Xander gets a call and says he's looking for help with a custody case and needs someone who will fight dirty. With that, he exits the building. University Hospital – Lobby: Maggie and Julie arrive and speak with Kayla about the board meeting vote. Julie wishes there was another option, but Kayla says they are stuck with either EJ or Xander. Julie knows Tom Horton wouldn't stand for 'any of this crap.' Kayla says she has a plan, just as Xander walks up and asks about Sarah. Kayla says she can't discuss staff scheduling with outside parties. Before he can go off on her, Maggie says that all parties present know exactly who Xander is and what he's done. He stands down but says he won't be an outside party after he owns the hospital. Just then, EJ and Chad arrive saying not so fast. Maggie thanks Kayla and Julie for having her back and they say they are always in her corner. Julie asks Kayla about her aforementioned plan. She worked it out with the board to make sure the votes are anonymous, meaning neither EJ nor Xander will have any clue whom to blame when one of them loses. University Hospital – Exam Room: Brady arrives to see Rachel and Kristen. Rachel heads off to get some water leaving her parents time to chat. Kristen says she informed their daughter about her Grandpa John, which she thinks was the impetus for her illness. She informs Brady about Rachel seeing Johnny with a gun, fighting with EJ the night of the shooting. Kristen thinks holding that secret is what's caused her to be ill. Brady thinks they have to go to the police, but Kristen says she's unwilling to put their daughter through such an ordeal. She also notes how they are still being watched by Child Protective Services. They go back and forth for a while when Brady realizes he needs to get to the board meeting. Kristen asks him to promise to keep quiet and he agrees, for now. University Hospital – Lobby: Belle arrives at the hospital and runs into EJ. He says he was going to check in on John but thought better of upsetting Marlena. He says how sorry he is and wishes he could be half the father John is. Belle thinks it's the nicest thing he's ever said about her father. Belle and EJ embrace when Brady arrives filled with piss and vinegar. Brady thinks EJ is out of line for being around any member of his family with how much grief and heartache he has perpetrated on them. Belle tries to hush up her brother, but he pays no attention. Endings Belle begs Brady not to cause a scene on this very day. Brady agrees they need to focus on their father. Maggie, Kayla and Julie return from voting and run into Chad. Kayla says Brady's vote is the only one unaccounted for. Julie thinks the result of the vote is a lose-lose situation, no matter what. EJ tells Brady he didn't mean to intrude on his family's pain. He notes he checked in with Sydney who said their plane to Salem was grounded. Just then, Kayla arrives saying he needs to get to voting. EJ assumes Brady is going to vote for Xander. Just then, Xander arrives, and Kayla notes the voting is anonymous so no one can be intimidated nor retaliated against. With that, Kayla pulls Brady to the side and tells him the vote is tied and he is the deciding vote. Rachel returns to the exam room and tells her mother her exam with Sarah went quite well. Sarah told her that her stomach hurts when she gets upset, too. Rachel says she feels much better. In addition, Sarah gave her a birthday gift. Rachel wonders how Sarah knows it's her birthday. Kristen avoids the topic and says it must be in her chart (For those who don't know, there was a baby switch involving Kristen and Sarah). Julie and Maggie decide to head down to the cafeteria. Just then, Jada arrives and places Xander under arrest for Philip's assault. She cuffs him in front of God and everyone Keep checking back for the latest Days of Our Lives recaps! I got engaged at Disney World! Here's some magical tips to keep in mind

As a little girl, I always dreamed about what it would be like to be proposed to in front of Cinderella castle, and I know I'm not the only one. So here's a former Disney World photographer's guide on how to propose to your Disney princess or prince in the most magical place on Earth. For many Disney adults, Disney World, specifically Magic Kingdom, is the epitome of a fairytale come to life. So it's no wonder that so many, including myself, dreamed about what it would be like to have the love of their life propose to them at their favorite place on earth. As someone who used to be a Photopass photographer at the Magic Kingdom and, more recently, as someone who got engaged in the Magic Kingdom, I have all sorts of tricks and tips I WISHED I could've bestowed on all the poor unfortunate souls who could've made their proposals even better. But, fear not, while I may not be a magical fairy godmother, I wrote this guide to make sure your favorite Mouseketeer has the engagement of their dreams. While it's a wonderful surprise, your photographer shouldn't be the one you're surprising! Warn the photographer and let them know you're going to propose, or have someone in your party do so. This way, the photographer can mentally prepare for what's about to happen and plan out the poses and shots they want to take. Photographers can also make the moment even more magical by taking Magic Shots, which is a photo that is digitally-enhanced to include Disney characters, balloons or famous Disney snacks and more. Additionally, if the photographer has the time, they can take you to other locations in the park near their station. More Disney news: Disney World reveals start date for new Disney Starlight nighttime parade As a Miami native, I'm no stranger to the heat. However, something about Orlando's heat and humidity is significantly worse than anywhere in South Florida. We ended up having to leave the park right after he proposed because I wasn't feeling well, and the heat was getting to me despite the copious amounts of water I was drinking. To avoid any of these issues, I would suggest doing the following: Propose first thing in the morning when you get to the park. Take a break at the hotel when temperatures are at their highest and propose when you come back refreshed and ready. Sunsets at the parks are always gorgeous and look great in photos. Bring a change of clothing if your partner is the kind of person who likes to stay at the park from open to close. Finally, don't forget to pack the following: Sunscreen Sun protection, like baseball caps Portable fans Cooling towels Water bottles Photopass photographers are stationed all over the Walt Disney World Parks. Many are stationed in front of the castle, but you can find photographers in front of the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Belle's castle. For $99, guests can also sign up for a private, 20-minute session called Capture Your Moment, where photopass photographers will follow you around the park and conduct your own personal photoshoot. Sessions booked between May 26 and September 1 will receive a $20 discount, according to Disney World's website. Capture your moment can be booked at the following parks: Animal Kingdom EPCOT Hollywood Studios Magic Kingdom One of the brilliant things my fiancé did was that he didn't bring my actual ring to the parks! I'm a very clumsy person, and I lose almost anything, so I know I would've been petrified to carry around my actual ring. So, instead, my darling fiancé proposed to me with a $20 ring featuring a heart-shaped moonstone in the center, which he purchased on Amazon. It was the only ring I wore throughout the engagement, and I was so proud to show it off whenever I told a cast member we were engaged. Additionally, I was able to wander throughout the park and ride the attractions without worrying that I might lose my very expensive engagement ring. Personalize your engagement! A castle proposal isn't the end-all be-all of Disney proposals. Tailor your engagement to what your fiancée likes about Disney. You can propose just about anywhere! You can even propose during a hot air balloon ride at Disney Springs, but make sure to have a backup plan in case it's shut down. Be sure that this is the kind of proposal your partner wants! There are always people around the parks, and proposals, especially the ones that take place on Main Street U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom, which is the street that leads to the famous castle, tend to draw an audience. But, as long as you've done your homework and made sure this is what your partner wants, your Beloved is sure to adore the proposal no matter what. So here's to you and your future happily ever after! Good luck! Julia is a trending reporter for USA TODAY.
