Ben Stiller, Timothée Chalamet, And Spike Lee Were Mercilessly Mocked At A Knicks Game, And Now Ben's Called Out The 'Weird' Behavior
Hollywood stars have been showing out for the New York Knicks games over the past few weeks, but it's safe to say that no one on celebrity row has been doing it quite like Ben Stiller, Timothée Chalamet, and Spike Lee. At least one of the trio of native New Yorkers has been present at nearly every game of the Knicks' run to the Eastern Conference finals, bringing with them next-level enthusiasm, great fits, and occasionally some super famous friends (Kendall and Kylie Jenner, I'm talking about you). And while most fans appear to be loving the dedication, it seems Ben, Timothée, and Spike weren't made to feel so welcome when they visited Indianapolis earlier this week to watch the Knicks take on the Indiana Pacers in front of their home crowd. Related: Sophie Turner Opened Up About Her "Incredibly Sad" Split From Joe Jonas At the beginning of the game, sports pundit and Pacers fan Pat McAfee took a moment to do some trash-talking, taking aim at the 'bigwigs from the big city' sitting courtside. Hyping up the home crowd, he yelled into the mic: 'Spike Lee is here. Ben Stiller is here. Timothée Chalamet is here. Let's send these sons of bitches back to New York with their ears bleeding!' As you'd probably imagine, each name was met with increasingly intense boos from the Indiana crowd. While we all love a bit of playful trash-talk in sports, this felt a little mean-spirited — and it seems Ben agrees. Related: 28 Celebs Who Never Seem To Get Canceled Despite Some Pretty Awful Behavior Responding to a video of the moment on X, Ben replied: 'Yes. Weird. We were happy to be there and cheer our team and other than that Indy fans were awesome,' adding in another response: 'No bitterness at all Indy fans were amazing good win for you guys.' Replying to another fan who said that Pat's moment 'pissed [them] off so much,' Ben further explained his confusion, also emphasizing that he still had a great time. 'He must be playing around - if it's an actual point of view it seems a little anachronistic or cliche?' he wrote of Pat. 'Like we are 'big city celebs' and we shouldn't be there in the heartland? 😂Again, everyone we met was awesome and incredibly cool.' Before long, Pat caught on to criticism from people calling him 'classless' and spoke out to set the record straight. 'These guys are all front row, they're a part of the show,' he said on his show on May 28, admitting that 'sons of bitches' was perhaps not the best term he could've picked. 'I would like to let them all know, mad respect for coming out. Mad respect for the amount of support they're showing the Knicks. All love.' And for what it's worth, Ben cleared the air from his side, too, suggesting that Pat ought to come to Game 5 at Madison Square Garden later today. Chris Hughes reveals health scare after finding 'small lump' on his testicles
Chris Hughes has urged other men to get themselves checked after finding a lump on his testicles. He revealed the health scare after receiving the all-clear, with his family having a history of cancer. Taking to Snapchat this afternoon, Chris wrote: 'Boys just had a check up on the balls, small lump, thankfully all clear and nothing to worry about. 'Yes because of what my family have been through, the documentary we made, I prioritise this, but keep em checked and get them looked at it be sure :) [sic]'. Chris was initially motivated to speak publicly about testicular cancer after it affected his cousin, too. The disease 'became secondary in his abdomen', and he initially missed the signs. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Chris, 32, was later praised for helping to raise awareness of testicular cancer when he had an exam live on This Morning in 2018. He also had operations on his own testicles, as he recalled to hosts Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes, and fronted a documentary alongside younger sibling Ben, titled Me, My Brother and Our Balls. 'It's something I wanted to do; it's something which meant something to me,' Chris said on This Morning. 'It's just been a really positive thing and it's helped a lot of people along the way, and we can't complain about that.' Chris's brother Ben found a lump after watching his examination on live TV and was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Writing on Instagram a few months later, Chris shared: 'A sad day. My brother was diagnosed with testicular cancer this lunchtime, in which we pray for a kind prognosis. a lump or swelling in part of one testicle a testicle that gets bigger discomfort or pain in your testicle or scrotum See a doctor if: you have any of the above symptoms notice symptoms that are unusual for you have symptoms that don't go away or don't improve 'He came into my room at 3am the morning after my testicular examination on tv, clearly struggling to sleep, telling me he'd found a lump and asked me if he's checking it right. To which I told him, 'Ben, it's 3am, I'll look in the morning, but if there's a lump, go and check it checked tomorrow with the doctor'. 'Today he sent me a message telling me the news, and thanking me for making him aware, else he'd never have known he had cancer.. That literally broke my heart.' He added in a powerful sign-off: 'Testicular cancer is a silent killer, men need realise this and check themselves regularly. It takes 10 seconds. Please do it. 🖤' Thankfully, younger sibling Ben was declared cancer-free after undergoing a life-saving operation. The Love Island star reflected on the ordeal in an interview with Metro, saying in 2021: 'He's a very positive person, but going through that ordeal, it knocked him back. 'With cancer, it's such a horrible thing, you question, why is it happening to me? Why am I being affected by it? But he's very positive, he's got an amazing mindset, my brother, and I respect that he can look at the positives in every situation.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Also at the time, Chris mused over whether he felt in a rush to have kids. 'It's not changed my views,' he said of the cancer. 'Fortunately enough, I had a fertility test and I still have a good level of sperm and active sperm, whereas my brother unfortunately doesn't. 'Testicular cancer can affect it, so you've got to look after your testicles and check them.' More Trending The TV personality recently seemed to confirm his relationship with fellow Celebrity Big Brother star JoJo Siwa. He met the 22-year-old TikToker during CBB earlier this year, instantly growing close and forming a very tactile friendship. Having spent more time together upon leaving the ITV abode, they've been on holiday, been papped kissing, and Chris has even met JoJo's family in the States. As a result, their combined millions of fans reckon the word 'platonic' can officially be discarded, interpreting their cosy Insta snaps and declarations of love and affection as a 'hard launch.' If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed with cancer, Macmillan can offer support and information. Woman says she and husband paid off $200K debt in 5 years: Here's how
Tinsley Crisp knows what it feels like to be overwhelmed by debt. At 31, the stylist and writer is now proudly debt-free -- but just a few years ago, she and her husband, Ben, were staring down a mountain of $200,000 instudent loan debt. "It felt like I would never accomplish this goal," she told "Good Morning America" in an interview aired that aired Friday. "I would be paying this off until the day that I died." The couple initially started with around $30,000 in student loan debt, but when Ben decided to go back to school to become a physician assistant, their total ballooned to $200,000. According to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, student loan debt in the U.S. has reached a staggering $1.63 trillion as of the first quarter of 2025. For many borrowers, the weight of repayment can feel crushing. How this couple paid off $52K debt in 18 months But Crisp and her husband, who now works full-time as a physician assistant, decided to take control of their financial future. With the help of a financial planner, the couple created a five-year plan and stuck to it. "We said, 'This is how much we're making. This is how much debt there is. These are our goals.' And we really laid it all out there," Crisp said. From there, Crisp and her husband -- who did not disclose their total income to "GMA" -- built a detailed monthly budget and a debt-payoff timeline. Crisp said the financial planner helped them determine how much they needed to pay each month to stay on track. After five years of what they called disciplined budgeting, intentional sacrifices and unwavering commitment, the couple made their final payment and rewarded themselves earlier this year with a dream trip to Greece. "To get to that moment and to enjoy that vacation really felt like our dream becoming a reality," Crisp said. Now, Crisp and her husband are sharing their three tips for paying off debt. One of the biggest changes they made was learning to budget down to the dollar. "We really wanted to account for everything," she said. "And I mean, like everything. It came down to, we were planning out when I bought my shampoo and my conditioner. Even if it was $5 a month, just to know that in three months, when I'm probably going to run out again, we would have the money there." Sticking to their budget meant letting go of a lot of extras, especially travel. "Whenever we chose to miss friends' weddings, family vacations, maybe even extra trips to visit family just for the holidays, it was tough," she admitted. "And now looking back, I don't regret it at all, because now we're able to do so much more." Another key decision she said was to resist lifestyle inflation. "I was driving a car for over 10 years and I was embarrassed to show up to work with that car," she said. "However, I knew that I would also be embarrassed 10 years later if I was in a similar financial situation because I wasn't responsible with my money at a young age." Get ultra-specific with your budget One of the biggest changes they made was learning to budget down to the dollar. "We really wanted to account for everything," she said. "However, I knew that I would also be embarrassed 10 years later if I was in a similar financial situation because I wasn't responsible with my money at a young age."
