BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Bay High School students put on their 2nd Annual Dessert Fest on Saturday.
The event was organized and put on by a group of AICE Travel and Tourism students. It was held at the Tommy Oliver Stadium from 1 p.m to 6 p.m.
There were local vendors, school clubs, and more, offering a variety of sweet treats while supporting students.

One vendor even offered cookie decorating at their tent.
Students say planning the event teaches them the ins and outs of the hospitality business.
'Events are a big part of reasons why people travel. So that's a main reason why this class you plan an event. So it kind of all ties back into really seeing like how the course work is effective in real life,' Bay AICE student Jessica Smith said.
The event served as a final project for students in the Bay AICE Travel and Tourism class, which is part of the AICE program through Cambridge University. The course requires students to conduct two feasibility studies, decide on an event, write up a plan, and carry it out.
Aside from the dessert fest, some other events they have planned include a trip to Universal Studios, ice skating, beach clean-ups, and more.
