Jadon Sancho transfer odds: Betfred reveal favourites for Man Utd winger following Chelsea exit
BORUSSIA DORTMUND are leading the race to re-sign England international Jadon Sancho, according to bookmakers Betfred. The Bundesliga giants have been priced at 5/1 to bring Sancho back to Signal Iduna Park, with interest in the winger heating up following confirmation he will leave Chelsea when his loan deal expires on June 30. The Athletic reports that Chelsea failed to reach an agreement on personal terms for a permanent transfer, despite an obligation-to-buy clause worth up to £25 million. The Blues are now expected to pay a £5 million penalty instead of proceeding with a full transfer. Sancho, 25, had a mixed spell in West London, scoring five goals and registering 10 assists as Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League and lifted the UEFA Conference League title. But while the club were reportedly impressed by his professionalism and attitude, concerns remain about his consistency. He is now due to return to Manchester United, where tensions with former manager Erik ten Hag saw him exiled from the first-team squad. With a year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, Sancho's future under new boss Ruben Amorim remains uncertain. Should United opt to sell, Dortmund are seen as the most likely destination. The German club are joint 5/1 favourites with any Saudi Pro League side, according to Betfred, while Aston Villa are next in the betting at 7/1. A move to the MLS is priced at 8/1, with Tottenham and Everton trailing at 10/1 and 12/1 respectively. Betfred spokesperson Robert Ford said: 'With it being reported that Jadon Sancho is returning to Manchester United this summer, we've made his former club Borussia Dortmund, as well as any club in the Saudi Pro League, the 5/1 favourites to sign him. 'Out of the nine Premier League clubs in the market, Aston Villa are the most likely destination in England for Sancho at 7/1, followed by Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspur at 10/1 and Everton at 12/1. A move to any club in the MLS is currently priced at 8/1.' William Buick eyeing ‘huge achievement' in £1.5 million Derby and Oaks
The Godolphin rider, who won the 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas in May, has a chance to become the first jockey to land the first four Classics at Epsom on Desert Flower and Ruling Court William Buick has opened up about his chances of making racing history at Epsom this week. The top jockey won the Betfred 1,000 Guineas and 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket in May on the Charlie Appleby-trained Desert Flower and Ruling Court. Both Godolphin-owned Classic winners are set to line up at Epsom this week, Desert Flower in the Betfred Oaks and Ruling Court in the £1.5 million Betfred Derby. Ruling Court will attempt to become the first colt since Camelot in 2012 to complete the 2,000 Guineas-Derby double and set himself on a path towards a possible tilt at the Triple Crown, for which Betfred are offering a £2 million bonus. The last time the same owner, trainer and jockey won the Oaks and Derby in the same year was in 2001 when Imagine and Galileo, won the Epsom Classics for members of the Coolmore partnership, trainer Aidan O'Brien and jockey Mick Kinane. Buick, who won the Derby on Masar in 2018, has never won the Oaks and Desert Flower will be his 15th ride in the race he finished second in 12 months ago. No jockey has won the Flat season's first four Classics in the same year. 'I must admit that this year it's a little bit more excitement with the 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas winners both going to turn up,' said Jockey Club Racecourses Ambassador Buick. 'We'd like to take it one step at a time. It's a massive, huge thing to do. Both the 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas, that was a huge achievement in itself. We'll take each race as they come.' Ruling Court is the 4-1 second favourite with William Hill for the Derby and the unbeaten Desert Flower 6-4 favourite for the Oaks. Both horses will be tackling 1m4f for the first time. 'Ruling Court is a very well balanced horse with a high cruising speed, he relaxes in his races and has got a turn of foot,' said Buick. 'In that regard he ticks all the boxes. He's a high quality colt. 'Desert Flower is a high class filly. We've always thought the world of her. She just has never stepped a foot wrong. She is tactically incredibly versatile and I don't think Epsom is going to pose any problem to her. 'Of course it would mean a lot to win the Oaks. I've not managed to pull it off. Each season you set out to find a Classic horse. To go to Epsom with two horses of the calibre we have this year is a pleasure.' Ruling Court is headed in the Derby betting by the Aidan O'Brien trained Delacroix, likely to be ridden by Ryan Moore. Buick added: 'I feel like I am on the two best horses. There is of course the question mark about the distance. They have never been beyond a mile before but I do feel I am on the two best horses.'

Stressfree victory proves enjoyable for O'Meara
David O'Meara's five-year-old only had three victories to his name on the Flat before this, which does not reflect the level of his ability, and looked to have a mountain to climb as Kildare Legend kicked clear off the front. But Danny Tudhope timed it to perfection on the 11-2 shot to win by a neck and the Duke of Edinburgh Handicap now beckons. O'Meara said: 'He wasn't winning out of turn, he's been very consistent. He's got a lot of ability, but he's often the bridesmaid. We sent him hurdling through the winter, more to toughen him up than anything. 'He was given an excellent ride. I'm never confident with him as he's often come out second best, but to be fair he did nothing wrong today. 'He could go for the mile-and-a-half handicap at Ascot and possibly the Ebor later, why not, he might stay that far, he keeps a little bit back.' The big summer showpiece could also be on the cards for Mick Appleby's Kodi Lion (5-1) following a clear-cut win in the Betfred Supports Jack Berry House Reverence Handicap. Bought out of Ed Walker's yard for 90,000 guineas, he will need to step up in trip should he go following a length win over six furlongs, but he does have form over seven. 'It's quite emotional, my dad died four years ago today so he's definitely looking down,' said Liz Cash, who owns the horse together with her mother. 'If he goes up enough in the weights we'll look at the seven-furlong race (Buckingham Palace) at Ascot.' Ed Bethell's Oolong Poobong (4-1) was cheered home by a raucous crowd to win the Betfred 'Join Our Sports Club' Fillies' Handicap, while Martyn Meade saddled just his second winner of the year when Organ (9-1) prevailed in the Betfred 'Join Our Sports Club' Fillies' Handicap.
