Full-back Ackerman joins Gwalia United
Gwalia United have signed former England youth international Daisy 22-year-old full-back came through the Arsenal academy and has played for Cheltenham Town, Oxford United, Bristol City and Bristol Rovers, and joins Gwalia ahead of the upcoming FA Women's National League Premier Division season."I'm incredibly excited to join Gwalia United," said Ackerman, who represented England three times across the Under-16s and U18s. Gwalia United have signed midfielder Bethan McGowan from Derby County, their first signing of the close season. McGowan came through the Arsenal Academy and has also had spells with Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion. Advertisement The 21-year-old is a former Wales Under-19 international and joins Gwalia ahead of the upcoming FA Women's National League Premier Division season. "Coming back to Wales and playing for a team with a clear plan and a real purpose just felt right. I can't wait to get started," McGowan said. Gwalia United manager James Thomas said: "She's a player I know very well and someone I was very keen to bring to the club.
