SIO and Beyon Connect Sign Agreement to Implement Enhanced eKey 2.0 System
Manama: Sahar Rashid Al Mannai, Chief Executive of the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO), and Christopher Held, CEO of Beyon Connect, have entered into an agreement to roll out the enhanced electronic key system, known as eKey 2.0. This partnership aims to bolster digital services and streamline processes for beneficiaries. According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Mannai emphasized the significance of integrating modern technologies to advance beneficiary services. The agreement is set to be effective in the latter half of the year. Al Mannai highlighted the importance of strengthening electronic verification processes to provide safer and more efficient services. This move is expected to expedite procedures and enhance user experience. Al Mannai stated that the collaboration aligns with SIO's strategy to update and enhance insurance services, ensuring they are more accessible to beneficiaries. It also supports the government's objectives to improve service quality and efficiency, promote digital transformation, and automate information systems. Beyon Connect Participates in 2025 Arab Region Postal Leaders Forum in Qatar
Doha: Beyon Connect, a subsidiary of Beyon and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), announced its sponsorship and participation as a keynote speaker at the 2nd Arab Postal Leaders Forum 2025, held from April 29 – 30 in Qatar. According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was organized under the theme 'Accelerating Innovation in the Parcel Market to Achieve Gains in the Age of Electronic Technology' and was attended by representatives from the government sector and postal industry executives from across the Arab region. The forum featured a series of panel discussions, workshops, and presentations over two days. Eskan Bank integrates Baity platform with eKey 2.0, advancing Bahrain's digital housing services
Eskan Bank has announced the integration of its digital housing platform, Bayti, with the national eKey 2.0 system, in collaboration with the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) and Beyon Connect. This marks the first integration of its kind for a private sector application following the government's 'MyGov' app. The announcement was made on the sidelines of the 'Innovation in the Social Housing Sector' Conference and Exhibition, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, under the theme 'Towards Innovative and Sustainable Housing Solutions.' The integration enables users to access the Bayti platform securely and easily through the eKey 2.0 system, which offers unified login using biometric facial recognition without the need for a password. The system also allows users full control over their personal data and how it is shared with service providers, enhancing security and data privacy. The link between Bayti and eKey 2.0 helps facilitate housing transactions with high efficiency while protecting user data and improving access to services, saving users time and effort. Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the Information and eGovernment Authority, expressed satisfaction with this development, describing it as a qualitative step forward in providing digital solutions that support citizens' housing needs. He noted that the collaboration reflects Eskan Bank's commitment to offering safe and convenient digital real estate services and contributes to Bahrain's digital transformation in line with the Kingdom's Economic Vision 2030.
