Rs 17,169 cr allocated for tribals under sub-plan funds: Bhatti

Kothagudem: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the previous BRS government had failed to utilise Sub-Plan funds during its decade-long rule and it caused significant injustice to the individuals belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in Telangana. He announced that the Congress-led government has allocated Rs.17,169 crore this financial year under the Sub-Plan for tribal welfare, and carried forward Rs 1,296 crore left unspent from previous years. Addressing the Telangana Adivasi Congress workers' meeting at Palwancha in Khammam district on Saturday, Bhatti urged leaders attending the training camp to take information about Sub-Plan schemes to every household. 'To understand the needs of tribal communities, we brought together tribal leaders and launched training programmes to implement solutions through the AICC,' said the minister, in his address. 'Under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Self-Employment Scheme, Rs 1,000 crore has been allocated exclusively for tribals — a record in the nation's history,' he added. He underscored the recently introduced Indira Solar Tribal Development Scheme to help forest dwellers live with dignity. 'Through this, we are bringing 6.7 lakh acres under cultivation by investing Rs 12,500 crore. We brought in the Nallamala Declaration to protect the rights and dignity of tribals,' he claimed. 'Dignity and equal society are possible only under Congress governance. We have introduced schemes in alignment with that vision. Welfare programmes are being provided to every household. We will soon distribute details to every home about which schemes are being delivered to each household and how much the government is spending,' he said. Bhatti urged party leaders to take the details of all schemes to every household and help eligible people file applications.

Govt implementing schemes, land rights measures for SC/ST communities: Bhatti

Hyderabad: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday said the previous BRS govt did not utilise the SC/ST sub-plan funds meant for the communities, but the incumbent Congress govt was spending every rupee of the sub-plan funds for the development of SC and ST communities in the state. "Under the sub-plan, 17,169 crore was allocated for the STs. Additionally, 1,296 crore unspent funds from the past were carried forward. To understand the needs of tribal communities, we brought together tribal leaders and launched training programmes to implement solutions. When lands assigned to the poor were being grabbed under the 'Dharani' system of the previous BRS govt, we protested. We pledged to throw Dharani into the Bay of Bengal and came to power with that promise. Now, we've introduced the Bhu Bharati Act to ensure land rights to tribals," he said. Bhatti said that 1,000 crore was allocated exclusively for tribals under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Self-Employment Scheme and the Indira Solar Tribal Development Scheme was also launched to help tribal farmers live with dignity. "The state govt has brought the Nallamala Declaration to protect the rights and dignity of tribals," he said at the Telangana Adivasi Congress workers training programme in Palwancha of the combined Khammam district. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo The deputy CM said, "The Congress govt is planning to expand Singareni on a global scale. Govt using SCs, STs funds in a prudent manner, says Bhatti

Hyderabad: Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the present Congress government was not only allocating funds for the implementation of the SC/ST Sub-Plan, but also spending them diligently without diversion. Bhatti stated that the government was functioning with the vision of building a socially just Telangana where people live with dignity and the state achieves comprehensive development. He was speaking on Wednesday at the award distribution ceremony held at Banjara Bhavan for students of SC Welfare Residential Schools. He emphasised that this government was not formed to serve feudal powers or evil forces but is entirely dedicated to the people. As per the SC/ST Sub-Plan, not only have funds been allocated, but they are also being utilised meticulously. He recalled that the compassionate Chief Minister Revanth Reddy carried forward the unspent Sub-Plan funds left by the previous administration.' 'Unlike the past regimes — including the United Andhra Pradesh and the previous ten years of rule — where Sub-Plan funds were neglected, the current government is ensuring full expenditure,' he said. He highlighted that Rs 40,232 crore have been allocated under the SC Sub-Plan, and Rs 13,223 crore of previously unspent funds have also been carried forward. Under the ST Sub-Plan, Rs 17,169 crore were allocated, with an additional Rs 1,296 crore of unspent funds from the past being utilised — ensuring no misuse or diversion. He made it clear that this government does not believe in enjoying power as a status symbol. The Deputy CM said that the government is also planning to reclaim and redistribute previously assigned lands to the poor. He condemned the previous government for brutally assaulting tribal farmers, including women, who tried to cultivate forest rights land granted under the Forest Rights Act. Upon coming to power, the current government launched the Indira Soura Giri Jala Vikasam scheme to bring 6.7 lakh acres of forest rights land under cultivation. Under this scheme, the government is providing tribal farmers with free pump sets, solar panels, drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, and encouraging them to grow crops like avocado and bamboo through the horticulture department. The scheme has a total budget of Rs 12,500 crore. He questioned why the previous government failed to implement such impactful schemes despite having higher revenue and incurring loans amounting to Rs 7.5 lakh crore. He also questioned why, despite sufficient resources, no attempt was made in the past ten years to increase diet or cosmetic charges in welfare hostels.
