The Mohit Suri directorial has performed way beyond expectations and is now aiming to surpass the business of movies, which are the highest-grossers of big stars globally. Saiyaara currently stands with a global collection of around Rs 395 crore and is now set to surpass the business of Simmba (Rs 400.19 crore), 3 Idiots (Rs 400.61 crore), Brahmastra (Rs 418.8 crore), Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (Rs 423.85 crore) and Chennai Express (Rs 424.54 crore). STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD While Simmba is Ranveer Singh's 2nd highest grosser after Padmaavat, Brahmastra ranks 3rd for Ranbir after Animal and Sanju. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is Kartik Aaryan's highest-grosser while Chennai Express was SRK's highest-grosser until 2023 when he delivered Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. Saiyaara has already surpassed the collections of Krrish 3 (Rs 393.37 crore), Singham Again (Rs 389.64 crore) and Kick (Rs 388.70 crore). Before the release of the movie, director Mohit Suri spoke about _Saiyaara_'s comparison with Aashiqui 2 in an interview with Firstpost. He said, 'When I made Zeher, they said it looked like Murder. When I made Ek Villain, they said it looked like Murder 2. When I made Malang, they said it looked like Ek Villain. When I made Aashiqui 2, they said it looked like Woh Lame and Rockstar. So I think when I go ahead and make my next film, they'll say it looks like Saiyaara. I think when they're comparing it to my own work rather than somebody else's, it's good.' Kartik Aaryan, fresh off horror comedies like 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' and the upcoming 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', is set to star in 'Naagzilla', a fantasy-comedy. Aaryan claims he's never experienced anything supernatural and hopes to keep it that way. He recounted a time when his mother performed a ritual to ward off the evil eye during the success of his films. After tickling the audience's funny bones with back-to-back horror comedies Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and the upcoming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik Aaryan is now ready to step into an all-new fantastical world with Naagzilla, a fantasy-comedy where he is reportedly set to play a shape-shifting snake.
