Akshay Kumar Reacts To Paresh Rawal's Hera Pheri 3 Exit For The FIRST Time: '32 Saal Se Unke Saath...'

Last Updated: Akshay Kumar has finally reacted to the controversy surrounding Paresh Rawal's exit from Hera Pheri 3. Akshay Kumar on Paresh Rawal Hera Pheri 3 Exit Controversy: After much speculation and legal back-and-forth, Akshay Kumar has finally reacted to the controversy surrounding Hera Pheri 3—the third installment in the iconic franchise. The drama took center stage after veteran actor Paresh Rawal exited the film and also accused Akshay Kumar and the production team of not providing him with a proper script or a long-term agreement. Frustrated with the handling of the project, Paresh Rawal chose to walk out of the film, triggering widespread chatter across the industry and among fans. The issue came up again during the trailer launch event of Housefull 5, where Akshay Kumar was asked about his fallout with Paresh. Akshay said, in a video clip posted by Bollywood Hungama, 'I've worked with him since the last 30 years. 32 saal see unke saath kaam karte aya hoon. We are very good friends. He is a great actor. I really admire him. I don't think this is a place where I am going to talk about it. Because, whatever has to happen — it is a very serious matter — it is a matter which is going to be handled by the court. I don't think I'm going to speak about it here." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bollywood Hungama🎥 (@realbollywoodhungama) He also reprimanded the journalist for not choosing the correct words to describe Paresh Rawal. 'Using this kind of word for my co-star — like a foolish word — I would not appreciate it," Akshay firmly said. Earlier, Paresh Rawal's legal team, Anand & Naik, broke silence on his exit from the much-loved Hera Pheri 3. A source close to the production told TOI in March, during the shoot of Bhoot Bangla, Akshay gave Paresh Rawal a paper to sign for Hera Pheri 3 and said the full agreement would come later. But Rawal was unsure because he hadn't seen any script or other details. 'Akshay told him, 'Don't worry, trust me. You'll see it later in the long-form agreement.' Based on his personal rapport with Kumar and acting in good faith, Paresh Rawal signed the term sheet," the source adds. In April, Rawal was asked to shoot a promotional video for Hera Pheri 3 . He once again questioned Akshay about the script, the production plan, and the long-term agreement." The source added, 'The promo was eventually filmed on the Bhooth Bangla set, with some modifications. Shooting was initially scheduled to begin in 2026. Rawal suggested deferring the promo shoot to next year. To date, Paresh Rawal has not received a longterm agreement, script, or any official production details." Whether Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal will reconcile or if Hera Pheri 3 will move ahead without Paresh Rawal remains to be seen. First Published:

Paresh Rawal Hera Pheri 3 exit controversy: Actor's legal team reveals Akshay Kumar didn't share script and...

Paresh Rawal's legal team, Anand & Naik opened up on the controversy and released an official statement for the first time read more Paresh Rawal's controversial and sudden exit from Hera Pheri 3 continues to grab headlines with each and every update. Recently, Paresh Rawal's legal team, Anand & Naik opened up on the controversy and released an official statement for the first time. The update comes after Rawal's earlier assurance that a legal clarification would be shared on Sunday morning as he wrote on X, 'My lawyer, Ameet Naik, has sent an appropriate response regarding my rightful termination and exit. Once they read my response all issues will be laid to rest". STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD A source told TOI, that producer Firoz Nadiadwala owns the rights to the original Hera Pheri films — Hera Pheri (2000) and Phir Hera Pheri (2006), has sent legal notices to Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. 'He has sent legal notices to Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. The legal notice issued asked all of them not to do any promos, endorsements, or any activities related to the Hera Pheri franchise. It also stated that if they go ahead and proceed with it, it will be considered a willful breach. The notice also stated that the IP of all the characters, including Babu Bhaiya are with Nadiadwala," the source said. The source also shared that during the shooting of Bhoot Bangla Akshay gave Paresh a paper to sign for Hera Pheri 3 and said that the full agreement would come later. However, Rawal was unsure as he didn't see any script. 'Akshay told him, 'Don't worry, trust me. You'll see it later in the longform agreement.' Based on his personal rapport with Kumar and acting in good faith, Paresh Rawal signed the term sheet," the source shared. To date, Paresh Rawal has not received a longterm agreement, script, or any official production details," the source added. As per TOI, a source close to Rawal, said, 'Paresh Rawal has a longstanding investment in the character of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte (Babu Bhaiya) and wanted to have clarity before proceeding." STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Responding to Akshay's legal team, who shared that Paresh's exit caused big problems and money loss for the cast, crew, travel, and trailer shoot, the latter's lawyers said, 'They did not deliver the story, screenplay or a draft of a long form agreement, which was fundamental to the engagement of our client. In the absence of these and also since Mr Nadiadwala, the producer of the original films, issued notice to our client and raised issues on the making of the film, our client chose to exit and returned the money with interest by terminating the term they accepted the monies, but later, unfortunately, sent an untenable notice to our client when knowingly nothing was and is ready, so there can never be any loss".

Ishaan Khatter opens up about intimate scenes with Tabu in A Suitable Boy: ‘It was like a conversation with our eyes'

Ishaan Khatter has been steadily cementing his place as one of the most promising young talents in Indian cinema. But before The Royals, it was his layered and emotionally charged role in A Suitable Boy that truly showcased his range, especially opposite an industry veteran like Tabu. In a recent interview with Zoom, Ishaan opened up about what it was like to share screen space — and some of his first intimate scenes — with Tabu in the adaptation of Vikram Seth's novel. And while the age-gap pairing raised eyebrows when first announced, Ishaan shared that the on-screen chemistry was not only authentic but incredibly natural, thanks in large part to Tabu's presence. 'I think a lot of it is in the writing,' Ishaan explained. 'If you were to put Tabu and I in another story, in another piece of writing, where we overlooked the age gap or that we didn't address it, it might have looked out of place,' he said. 'But it was the point written into the story in that way, and the text supported what we were doing." Their characters — the young Maan Kapoor and the enigmatic courtesan Saeeda Bai — share a tender, forbidden connection. And for Ishaan, filming their emotionally intimate scenes was an experience grounded not in discomfort, but in trust. 'And with an actress like Tabu, honestly, it's like, you don't have to talk about it,' he said. 'I have to say, and this sounds, I don't know, this might sound off or something, but I was not freaked out, absolutely not. In fact, I felt safer, because I was playing off of an actor who I knew would not only understand what I'm doing, but like, take it somewhere else, and I think, that's the beauty of it with Tabu, we never had to speak about what we're doing in a scene,' he continued. The intimacy, he said, didn't just come from the script — it came from a kind of silent, instinctive collaboration that unfolded naturally on set. 'She would be talking about random things, like, what do you want for lunch or something, or like, usko dekha kaise aankhe banara tha... She is very naughty, she's like a child on set. She could be making a joke, and then suddenly, she could be like this character, so like, I think it was fun, just so much fun working with her because so much of what we do is, of course, you bring the words to life, but so much of what we do is, how do you make a moment dense? How do you make it come alive? How do you communicate more without saying anything? And it just happened, like, seamlessly with Tabu, you know, it was just like a conversation with our eyes,' he said. A Suitable Boy, set in post-partition India, remains a landmark in Indian television storytelling — not just for its ambitious scope, but for its bold casting choices. With a 24-year age gap between Ishaan and Tabu, the show challenged traditional on-screen norms while delivering a relationship that felt emotionally grounded and artistically fearless. Up next, Tabu will appear in Bhooth Bangla, a Priyadarshan-directed horror-comedy also starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, scheduled to hit theatres in 2026. Ishaan, fresh off his acclaimed turn in The Royals, continues to prove that he's not just a rising star — he's one willing to take risks.

Hera Pheri 3: Paresh Rawal Exits Over "Rs 15 Crore Payment Clause", Returns Rs 11 Lakh To Akshay Kumar

New Delhi: Paresh Rawal is no longer part of Hera Pheri 3, and reports surrounding his exit have been gaining attention. According to Bollywood Hungama, the veteran actor has returned the signing amount he received for the film, marking the end of his association with the much-awaited sequel. The report states that Rawal returned Rs 11 lakh, which he had been paid as a signing fee, along with 15% annual interest and an additional amount. "Paresh Rawal has returned the signing amount of Rs 11 lakh with 15% p.a. interest and also a little more money for stepping away from the series," a source informed the portal. The source also revealed details about his contract. " Paresh Rawal was paid Rs. 11 lakh as a signing amount as per the term sheet. His total fees were locked at Rs. 15 crore. The term sheet mentioned that Paresh Rawal would receive the balance amount - Rs. 14.89 crore - only one month after the release of the film," the source added. With the main shoot expected to begin next year and the release possibly scheduled for late 2026 or 2027, the delay in payment was reportedly a key reason behind Rawal's decision to exit the project. As a result, a legal dispute has emerged between the actor and Akshay Kumar's production house, Cape of Good Films, which has reportedly filed a Rs 25 crore lawsuit against him. Currently, only a promo shoot for the film has been completed, which was reportedly shot on the sets of Bhooth Bangla using that film's crew. Hera Pheri (2000) and Phir Hera Pheri (2006) are considered cult classics, with Rawal's performance as Baburao remaining one of the most beloved elements of the franchise. His exit has left fans uncertain about the future of the third installment.
