Ashley Ogle's fans pulled out all the stops for her. Congratulations are in order for Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 star, Ashley Ogle, following her '29 Days of Pure Entertainment' surprise party. The celebration, which marked Ashley's time inside the Big Brother house earlier this year, was held this past Saturday at the Buitengeluk venue in Sandton. Her devoted fans, known as 'Ashes' and 'Ashangles', hosted the surprise party to honour the reality TV star, showering her with gifts worth over half a million rand. During her acceptance speech, Ashley opened up about her journey as she expressed gratitude to her supporters. 'Everything I have lost has been restored… If there's something I could tell people today, it's that God takes nobodies with anger issues like me — a mess like me— and makes them great.' The reality TV star also expressed gratitude to the Big Brother platform for transforming her life. 'When I entered the Big Brother house, I knew it would change my life, but I didn't think it would be this much. 'My grandfather told me I was going to be famous one day, but no one believed him because he was a drunk. Through him, I found the love of Michael Jackson and Pam Andrews — he bought me the DVD sets for my fifth birthday, and from that moment I knew I was going to be a star,' Ashley shared. Sweet Guluva describes the relationship he had with his sister to us as 'very tight', but he is also adamant about maintaining his privacy through such life events as well as with his relationship with fellow housemate Ashley Ogle, which he says is also 'very tight now.' While Sweet Guluva is cagey about any details around his love life and upcoming projects, he tells us to keep our eyes on his social media. 'All will be shared on social media if there's anything, but for now we're still trying,' he says.

Big Brother Mzansi S5 star, Sweet Guluva mourns the loss of his sister

Akhonamathemba Mbele (23), affectionately known as Sweet Guluva is a South African socialite and reality TV personality who gained widespread recognition after appearing on the popular show Big Brother Mzansi. He made a lasting impression on audiences with his charismatic personality, wit, and social game. Guluva has since leveraged his platform to build a successful career, inspiring many with his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for life. However, his world was recently shaken by the devastating loss of his beloved sister, Lwazi Zwane. The news was confirmed in a statement issued by his team which was then posted on Sweet Guluva's Instagram story. The statement reads. 'We're deeply saddened to share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Sweet Guluva's beloved sister, Lwazi Zwane,' describing this as trying times for Sweet Guluva and his family, as everyone would anticipate, the team further pleaded for understanding and privacy to the public. 'This is an incredibly difficult for him and his family, and we kindly ask that you please bear with him as he takes time to mourn and process this great loss.' The statement further expressed immense gratitude for the continued support shown to Sweet Guluva, and made it known that memorial service details will be shared in due course. 'Your continued support, love, and prayers mean the world, and we thank you for the kindness you've shown him. Further updates regarding memorial arrangements will be shared when the family is ready.' The statement concluded with a tribute message to Lwazi, 'May Lwazi's soul rest in eternal peace. She will be missed dearly.' Currently mourning Sweet Guluva hasn't made a personal public statement as of yet. Here's why Metro FM's Thato and Gash1 turned down chance to do reality TV again
Big Brother Mzansi season 3 contestants Gashwan, popularly known as 'Gash1', and Thato Mthombeni have had their supporters itching to see them back on the small screen. The couple, who met during the Big Brother competition and married six months after making their relationship official, revealed they were offered the opportunity to do a reality TV show together but declined. Beyond reality TV, Thato juggles her acting career, hosts on Metro FM with the Naked DJ on weekends and has a corporate job in the food industry. Gash1 is a model and businessman. In their recent YouTube video, Thato said while there might be interest in their lives, she wanted to protect her family and peace because she understood how her husband was affected by it. 'I don't want to do reality TV because I say no first as an individual. I don't want to do it because there's no reality TV I've watched where people have brought forth their romantic relations, siblings [or] whatever and come out better after that. There isn't a one. Those things destroy. I'm not even talking about the comments, the audience or the fans yet,' she said. 'I don't care how much money you are putting down. I am not going to put myself in a situation for something to break me down. That is not going to happen. Peace at all costs. I can lose millions. It is detrimental to everyone around you.' Gash 1 said he preferred to lead a private life. 'There are things I need to refrain from saying because it will taint the brand itself. You always need to uphold a good image no matter how you are feeling.'
