This Morning meets Grand Designs as Josie Gibson takes fans inside her country mansion for new primetime ITV series Big Country Build

This Morning star Josie Gibson has landed herself a brand new job starring in her own TV show. The 40-year-old - who regularly appears as a step-in host for the ITV show - will face the upcoming ITV programme Josie Gibson's Big Country Build. The seven-part series has allowed for cameras to follow her journey of transforming her huge Somerset property into a modern pad. Josie will be joined by her rarely-seen family members brothers Josh and Charlie, who are scrap metal traders, as well as her builder cousin Tom. Not only that, she's keen to follow a sustainable life style, so the camera crew will follow her growing her own produce and installing an underground heat pump for bees. ITV's press release states: 'The extensive renovation will be followed every step of the way as Josie attempts to assemble her dream home, complete with an on-site gym, walk-in wardrobe, and blacked out windows. 'And as she adapts to new surroundings, Josie will be building lots of new friendships with neighbours who could prove integral towards making her renovation dreams a reality.' Speaking about her new show, Josie said: 'My dream is to build a house as eco and luxurious as possible where you are immersed in the sanctuary of nature. 'I want to use the acres of land to try and my best to have a little small holding. I want bees, birds, badgers, to all live in harmony. 'Though, I'm becoming increasingly concerned that my harmonious dream is slowly turning into a construction nightmare.. 'I can't wait to bring the audience along on this journey with me!' The show is commissioned by Katie Rawliffe, who is Director of Entertainment & Daytime for ITV, as well as Lily Wilson, Commissioning Editor for ITV. Katie said: 'She's done a stint in the jungle and tackled all manner of outlandish tasks on This Morning, but our audiences are about to see a completely new side to Josie Gibson as she embraces country life and takes sustainable living to a whole new level!' Dom Bird, Senior Vice President, MGM Unscripted added: 'Josie's energy is infectious and her enthusiasm unstoppable. Her renovation experience, however, is less apparent. 'They'll be chaos, charm, and more than a few bumps in the road as Josie and her band of builders attempt to turn her newly acquired wreck into the dream home she's always wanted.' Josie Gibson's Big Country Build is produced by MGM Alternative UK. Sarah Clarke is series producer. In a sneak preview of the show, Josie can be seen saying walking around the property saying: 'Can't wait to start knocking it down... 'That's the best bit innit. 'This is being smashed out. All the doors are going... that's going. 'This wall is going to be knocked out. That wall is going to go... 'The entire thing is going to be demolished. And this is going to be glass from the bottom all the way up to the top.' Fans are very excited, with one saying on Instagram: 'Can't wait for this!!!' 'How fabulous.' 'ooooooo how exciting can't wait to watch.' 'That's gonna be a great show Josie.' Josie shot to fame in 2010 when she won the 11th series of the Channel 4 series of Big Brother. The star became a huge hit with fans and has gone on to have a very successful telly career. She joined the This Morning team in 2019 and regularly steps in for the main presenters when they are away. Josie also presents segments and competitions. The host has starred in various other TV shows over the years. Josie has appeared on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Loose Women, The Jump, Cooking with the Stars, I'm A Celebrity and The Masked Singer UK. The presenter is also proud mum to her son Reggie-James.

This Morning's Josie Gibson set to let cameras into her home as brand new show announced

This Morning star Josie Gibson is to take viewers on her journey as she attempts to renovate her house into a 'dream home', even though it could become a 'nightmare' Josie Gibson is set to let the cameras into her home for a new TV show where she will attempt to build her "dream" home. ‌ The This Morning host, 40, who is mother to six-year-old Reggie, will front a new renovation series for ITV titled Josie Gibson's Big Country Build in which she will go on a mission to transform her dilapidated Somerset property into a modern, 21st century abode. She is determined to assemble her dream home, which will be complete with an on-site gym, walk-in wardrobe, and blacked out windows, and viewers will be able to follow her every step of the way. ‌ What's more, the TV star is keen to be as eco-friendly as possible with the new venture and will be seen installing an underground heat pump to setting up auto flowing beehives, as she looks at the best-possible way she can look after her four acres of land. She is worried, however, that it will all become something of a "construction nightmare", even though she is looking forward to fans coming along for the ride. ‌ Josie explained: 'My dream is to build a house as eco and luxurious as possible where you are immersed in the sanctuary of nature. I want to use the acres of land to try and my best to have a little small holding. I want bees, birds, badgers, to all live in harmony. Though, I'm becoming increasingly concerned that my harmonious dream is slowly turning into a construction nightmare. I can't wait to bring the audience along on this journey with me!' The seven part series sees Josie teaming up with her brothers, scrap metal traders Josh and Charlie, cousin Buildler Tom, and a whole cast of eccentric locals who will be lending a hand as she sets about putting her passion project into action. Fans will also see Josie making friend with her new neighbours, who could prove crucial to making her dreams a reality when it comes to her lavish property. The whole project is a joint venture with MGM Alternative UK and will be broadcast ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV at some point in 2026. ‌ Josie shot to fame as the winner of Big Brother in 2010 and has gone on to major success since then. After landing a string of business deals following her victory, she moved into mainstream presenting and also featured on a plethora of reality television shows. Most notably, she competed on I'm A Me Out Of Here! in 2023, and has also provided cover as main host of This Morning and regularly presents competitions across the ITV Daytime programmes like Loose Women. Bosses are thrilled to have been able to give Josie the opportunity to build her dream home on screen, and have promised that fans will see a "completely different side" to her with the move. Katie Rawliffe, Director of Entertainment & Daytime for ITV and Lily Wilson, Commissioning Editor for ITV. Sarah Clarke is Series Producer, said: 'She's done a stint in the jungle and tackled all manner of outlandish tasks on This Morning, but our audiences are about to see a completely new side to Josie Gibson as she embraces country life and takes sustainable living to a whole new level!" However, as with any major project, there will be a few "bumps" along the way, and it is thought that there will be "chaos and charm", too. ‌ Noting her lack of experience in renovation, Dom Bird, Senior Vice President, MGM Unscripted said: 'Josie's energy is infectious and her enthusiasm unstoppable. Her renovation experience, however, is less apparent. There'll be chaos, charm, and more than a few bumps in the road as Josie and her band of builders attempt to turn her newly acquired wreck into the dream home she's always wanted'. South Gloucestershire-born Josie certainly enjoys the finer things in life, as evidenced by her glamour-filled Instagram account. The TV personality looked right at home fronting her recent Channel 5 show, Around The World In First Class, which saw her delve into the world of luxury travel. Over the course of the show, which aired in February, Josie tried out various high-end travel experiences, from staying in a £16,000 per night Dubai hotel to being a guest on a private island in Sweden. Opening up about the opportunity at the time, Josie said: 'When I got the call, I thought this cannot be real. I thought it was a wind-up. I think it took me less than a second to say yes. "If somebody had told the younger me that one day this would be my life, I would never have been able to believe it in a million years. It is better than I ever could have dreamed of. I don't even want to sugar coat it - I'm jealous of me.'
