David Gray's side completed an outstanding turnaround from struggling in the Premiership to finishing third in the 24/25 campaign, his first term as permanent head coach. Celtic victory in Saturday's Scottish Cup final versus Aberdeen will book passage to a Europa League play-off, which at minimum books eight European games next season, as even losing that will see the team drop into the league phase of the Conference League. Now with the transfer window looming, continental football could broaden the recruitment horizons. At the end of the day it's what happens on the field and after the slow start, David and the team really came together, showed resilience, showed courage and it's been just an absolute pleasure to watch them on the pitch compete and finish third and solidify our place in Europe. 'From a Black Knight perspective, where we're committed to is developing players, investing in scouting and recruiting, figuring out how to learn from each other This just gives us an opportunity, a platform to go and recruit better players who want to participate in Europe, who want to be a club that's competing at the top of a league like the Premiership.' Black Knight partnership Bournemouth, Auckland FC and FC Lorient also fall under the umbrella of Black Knight Football Club, with Bezbatchenko asked about a visit to the Cherries in pre-season. He said of Hibs' first team visit to Bournemouth: 'As part of our Black Knight group, it's important that we're constantly in communication but take advantage of opportunities to visit. You can talk about the curriculums, can talk about player development and we are really excited about those days where we can spend together We've done it before with the executive staff, many meetings with Ian Gordon, Malky Mackay and the recruitment staff. To be able to do it with the coaches and the players is really taking the relationship to a whole new level.' He added on his boardroom position: 'Since joining Black Knight last year, it is sort of a natural transition for me to step onto the board, given my location in the UK as well as my constant contact with with Ian and and the other members of the board. I think this was always the plan to join the board and really connect at a deeper level. My colleague Ryan Caswell will remain on the board and and what we're going to do is is really connect at all the layers right from the top down. 'Just because Bill is stepping away, he's still engaged day to day, whether or not that's at executive meetings with Ian or speaking with me frequently on the phone or on other meetings and calls. Bill loves his football clubs. He's connected to all of them including Hibernian FC so we're excited about that. Then we're looking to engage not just at the board level but all the way down right the sporting directors and the presidents of football. There's all the clubs across Black Knight that we're looking to connect so that Hibbs can benefit from the relationships across the group.'

Ian Gordon to become Hibs chairman
Ian Gordon has been confirmed as Hibernian's new chairman amid a raft of changes in the Easter Road taking office on 1 June, Gordon, son of the late Hibs owner Ron, succeeds Malcolm MacPherson, who previously held the role of non-executive chairman. MacPherson will stay as a non-executive director, while Gordon's brother Colin has assumed his mother Kit's seat as a non-executive Knight president Tim Bezbatchenko will take Bill Foley's place on the board but Ryan Caswell continues in his role as a non-executive director.

Nectar Triantis has been hailed as the player who added muscle to the 'soft underbelly' that left Hibs exposed to the counter-attack. And Easter Road sporting director Malky Mackay, who said the lack of defensive nous in central midfield was something he'd identified back when he was Ross County manager, has delivered an update on the club's chances of landing the Sunderland loanee for next season. Mackay, just over a year on from his appointment, revealed that he and club owner Ian Gordon had travelled south to meet with minority shareholder Bill Foley last week. The billionaire Bournemouth owner remains eager to help Hibs, especially in the transfer market, via his Black Knight group of clubs. With former Bournemouth performance analysis guru Garvan Stewart in as head of recruitment at Hibs, and Black Knight president Tim Bezbatchenko on the board, opportunities for player movement within the group have been discussed at the highest level. But Mackay, speaking on the Scottish Football Social Club on Premier Sports, knows that Hibs fans are rightly fixated on the prospect of Triantis returning for a third spell in Edinburgh. Having signed on for a second loan stint in the summer, the new Socceroos call-up has been a stand-out in central midfield, earning himself a place on the short list for the Scottish Football Writers Player of the Year award. So we'll certainly be talking in chat to him and Sunderland over the next period. 'We've talked to them, we've been talking to them, but ultimately that's not one that's within our control. He's one of a group of people that we want to try and co-ordinate, we want to try and extend; to keep at the club and there's reasons why. He came in as a centre-back for six months last season, and David looked at him near the end of the season and put him in midfield for a couple of games. 'We had a conversation over the summer about it, about maybe where Hibs' failings had been. Certainly as a Ross County manager, playing against them, I thought they were a really good football team. 'But maybe at times they had a soft underbelly. It was something that I felt, certainly on the counter-attack, we needed to make sure we solidified that area. And we felt in the summer, David and myself, that Nectar could be the guy who could come back and actually hold down that central midfield position as somebody who can break up play and still be able to pass the ball. 'He's had a terrific season, he's been called up for two countries now, I believe. He's been called up for Greece and Australia. Pressed on whether Hibs would be looking to sign Triantis on another loan or pay a transfer fee to land the 22-year-old on a more permanent footing, Mackay said: 'We would do both. We've got our owners and our minority owners as one at the moment. 'Myself and Ian Gordon were down seeing Bill Foley last week and the Black Knights group and we had a terrific three or four hours with them. Just in terms of what happened during the season, where it all went, the good and the bad and the ugly. But also then what going forward was going to look like and they're very much aligned. 'We would love to try and get him back in one shape or another. As I said, we're going into a European campaign and we're already in the qualifiers, but if certain things happen at the weekend in terms of the cup final, there's a possibility that we then go into a group stage no matter what. I think that can change things up again as well.' Asked whether that would impact on the budget available to sign players, Mackay pointed out a bonus worth more than pounds and pence, saying: 'Yeah, and it also can attract players to decide: 'Right, I'm guaranteed eight to ten games in Europe right up to Christmas.' Other than the very top seven or eight in the Premier League in England, where else are you getting that? 'So that's one that we'll look to rammed down their throat. If there's any potential player that might come to the club might be trying to twist their arm.' Insisting the aim is to improve the club's strike rate in the transfer market from three out of 10 to 7 out of 10, Mackay provided more insight on conversations with senior figures in the Black Knight group, explaining: 'We've got to try and make sure that what comes in can hit the ground running and play in the Scottish Premiership. This is a difficult league. You've got to be tough. You've got to be aggressive. 'You've got to make sure that you can handle this league and that's something that you explain. And it's something that we've had real good conversations over the last year. Tiago Pinto, the sporting director of Bournemouth, who was at Roma and Benfica. 'He came up to the Hearts game, so he couldn't have come to a better game. And then came out for a few drinks afterwards, which was even more eye-opening for him. 'But actually then realised, wow, until he came up, actually realising the size of the club and the aggressive nature of the fan base in Scotland. The real personality of it and the fact that there's so much at stake in every game. Don't Say You Love Me teaser: BTS' Jin reunites with Shin Se-Kyung as lost lovers grappling with heartbreak
Amid reports of BTS members — V, Jimin, RM, Jungkook, Suga, Jin, and J-Hope — reuniting in July this year, Jin has made a solo comeback and shared the teaser for his much-anticipated single 'Don't Say You Love Me.' The singer is seen in his 'boyfriend mode', and by the looks of it, the song appears to be about reuniting with a long-lost love. The teaser also features actor Shin Se-Kyung, known for her roles in projects like The Bride of Habaek, Black Knight, Arthdal Chronicles, Captivating the King, Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung, Blade Man, and more. The teaser shows Jin walking through a shopping complex casually before stopping and staring at a person in front of him. Shin Se-Kyung, who is standing opposite Jin, also stops and looks back at him, possibly reminded of their lost love. Suddenly, the crowd around them disappears, and the two are seen standing alone on the bridge of the complex, staring at each other as a soft piano tune plays in the background. According to Big Hit Music, 'Don't Say You Love Me' deals with the excruciating pain of two lovers unable to let go of each other at the end of their relationship. Jin's second album Echo all set for release 'Don't Say You Love Me' is the title track of Jin's second solo album Echo, which will release on May 16. He earlier released his first solo album Happy in August 2024. Jin's agency shared the singer's inspiration behind Echo. They released a statement that read, 'Aiming to connect on a deeper level with fans through music, Echo offers Jin's perspective on universal life experiences, capturing everyday emotions with warmth and sincerity… Built on dynamic band sounds, the album showcases his versatile vocals across a spectrum of moods and styles… It reflects a deeper layer of vocal maturity and personal storytelling that underscores Jin's evolving artistry.' Earlier, J-Hope had hinted at BTS' reunion in July this year. Since most members of the boy band have completed their compulsory military training, and the rest are set to conclude it in June, the band members will be ready to come together in July. It is also rumoured that they will go on a world tour. 'We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it's going to be a massive energy,' J-Hope had said.

A one-time mighty and national fast-food chain seems a lot like the famous Monty Python Black Knight. The Knight, who appeared in the iconic "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," downplays his injuries as he gets hacked to pieces. Black Knight: 'Tis but a scratch. Arthur: A scratch? Your arm's off! Black Knight: No, it isn't. Arthur: Well, what's that then? BlackKnight: I've had worse. Arthur: You liar! It continues like this for a while until the Black Knight has lost both his arms and both his legs before telling Arthur,"All right; we'll call it a draw." Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips has had all of its limbs lopped off as the chain which once had over 800 locations has dwindled to three. Despite that, its owners remain hopeful (perhaps irrationally hopeful) of a comeback. Nathan's Famous, the Coney Island hot dog chain known for its 4th of July eating contest, owns the Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips brand and it had a plan for a comeback. "Arthur Treacher's was a major quick-service fried seafood chain founded in Columbus, Oh. that hit its peak in the 1970s with more than 800 locations. The UK-style fish and chips chain was named after British actor, Arthur Treacher, who was known for playing butler roles," Nation's Restaurant News reported. None of that information appears on the seafood brand's website which is basically blank aside from the addresses of the two remaining stores using the brand name. Nathan's tried to bring the brand back as a virtual kitchen in 2021. "We are thrilled to provide operators across the country with the opportunity to add Arthur Treacher's to their portfolio. Nathan's Famous and Arthur Treacher's have a long-standing relationship and we have worked diligently to keep the brand's traditional menu items while also evolving the menu to fit the Nathan's mantra of the 'craveable, memorable and Instagrammable' product that we believe both operators and customers will love," shared Nathan's Vice President James Walker. No statement has been made, but It's probably telling now that Nathan's Famous does not make any mention of the Arthur Treacher's brand on its website. You could argue that Arthur Treacher's is America's second-most famous barely existent seafood fast-food chain behind Long John Silver's. The chain, however, refuses to die and a third location recently opened. The near-dead chain just opened its third restaurant in the Cleveland area, returning to a spot it once had a location in over 30 years ago, After a fire delayed the homecoming, the new shop has opened for business. "We're here now. We're ready to go. Full interior renovation, all new equipment. New hoods, you name it. We didn't spare any expense on the inside of this building. It looks great and can't wait for you guys to see it," said Arthur Treacher's Operations Director Oliver Savander, News 5 Cleveland reported. The chain has not shared any plans for further expansion. Its near-blank website does include the hashtag "#treachyourself." A search for that brings you to the company's Facebook page which offers sporadic posts to the company's 3,100 followers.
