Jack Antonoff's wife, Margaret Qualley, awkwardly reacts to Taylor Swift question
Don't miss out on the headlines from TV. Followed categories will be added to My News. Who's afraid of a little old question? Jack Antonoff's wife, Margaret Qualley, had a slightly awkward response to being asked about Taylor Swift's forthcoming album on Wednesday's episode of the US Today show. Toward the end of the interview, co-host Craig Melvin noted that Antonoff, 41, 'has produced for Taylor for years.' The NBC personality, 46, added, 'Perhaps you've heard she's got an album that's coming out. Can you tell us about it?' Margaret Qualley had a slightly awkward response to a question about Taylor Swift's forthcoming album. Qualley, 30, widened her eyes and shook her head before insisting, 'I don't know anything.' The actress shrugged and laughed uncomfortably, concluding, 'I'll be excited to listen to the music.' When Melvin chuckled and said, 'OK. Alright,' she replied, 'OK.' The actress laughed nervously and insisted she doesn't 'know anything' about it. One YouTuber summed up the painful on-air moment, commenting, 'That was very awkward.' Antonoff began working with Swift, 35, in 2013, with the duo collaborating on Lover, Folklore and more of the pop star's records over the years. Most recently, the Bleachers frontman produced several The Tortured Poets Department tracks. Swift has heavily hinted, however, that Antonoff has nothing to do with The Life of a Showgirl. Qualley has been married to Jack Antonoff since The Recording Academy) Antonoff and Swift's partnership began with a 2013 collaboration. Picture:Follow Page Six's Taylor Swift live updates for the latest news, photos, fan theories and more She dropped a major clue that her 12th record would be a major departure when she curated a Spotify playlist immediately after her New Heights album announcement. The 22 tracks on And, baby, that's show business for you are all produced by Max Martin and Shellback, who Swift last worked with on Reputation in 2017. Antonoff and his wife hang out with Swift and Carpenter at the Grammys in February. Picture:Swift attended Qualley and Antonoff's wedding in 2023, reportedly roasting the couple in a 15-minute toast. Picture:Some Swifties celebrated the news, with one gushing, 'no jack antonoff on the new taylor swift album is giving me hope for pre-2021 quality music.' Meanwhile, others praised him, explaining things like, 'Max Martin unlocked Taylor's versatility. … Jack Antonoff unlocked her best vocals and sharpened her songwriting.' One speculated that Swift is trolling her fans, tweeting, 'She's going to release 'The Life of a Showgirl' at midnight followed up by 'The Death of a Showgirl' at 3:00 AM with all of Jack and Aaron [Dessner] songs.' Swift was present — and made a 15-minute speech — when Antonoff and Qualley tied the knot in August 2023 in New Jersey. The couple, who became an item in 2021, have double dated with Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Jack Antonoff defends San Francisco, honors late Outside Lands co-founder during set
Bleachers dedicated its Outside Lands performance to the festival's late co-creator Jonathan Mayers, with a heartfelt mid-show shout out. 'He was a dear friend of mine. We're all here because of him,' frontman Jack Antonoff told the crowd at the Lands End stage before launching into the fan-favorite 'Everybody Lost Somebody' on Sunday, Aug. 10. 'This full set and the song goes out to him.' The track — with the lyrics, 'I know that I'm lost/ Lost in a world without you' — is from the New Jersey rock group's 2017 album, 'Gone Now.' Dressed in a simple white T-shirt and blue jeans, Antonoff stood at the edge of the main stage, leading the audience in an emotional singalong as the song veered into 'Goodmorning,' which came to a crashing conclusion with a harmonica and saxophone duel. Mayers, who was a driving force in the development of the San Francisco music festival and Bonnaroo in Tennessee, died in June. He co-founded Superfly Entertainment in 1996 and partnered with Bay Area-based Another Planet Entertainment in 2008 to launch Outside Lands as well as the comedy extravaganza known as Clusterfest that was hosted in downtown San Francisco from 2017-2019. The New York native's cause of death has not been publicly disclosed. This year, Outside Lands organizers also honored Mayers' legacy by adorning the walkway connecting Twin Peaks stage to Wine Lands with a black-and-white street sign that reads 'Mayers' Way.' Bleachers, led by Taylor Swift and Lorde collaborator Antonoff — formerly of the group fun., drew a sizable crowd for its 5:10 p.m. performance on the festival's last day. At one point, Antonoff brought out his father to gleefully play guitar with the band on 'How Dare You Want More.' The 41-year-old Grammy-winner singled out a fan with a New Jersey sign in the audience and even took a potato from the crowd to have the band autograph. 'I'm not saying some people haven't f—ed it up,' he said, 'but it's the greatest place to play music.'

Doja Cat unveils new look, mocks Sydney Sweeney ad before Outside Lands
Ahead of her headlining set at Outside Lands in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, Doja Cat unveiled a vintage-style hotline and striking new look to promote her forthcoming album 'Vie.' Callers to 747-246-7262 are greeted by the Grammy winner's sultry voice, offering tongue-in-cheek relationship advice. 'Love is complicated, but calling us isn't,' she says. 'A place for the lovers who feel too much, too fast, too often… I'm no couples therapist, but I do have some opinions.' In a nod to her upcoming single, 'Jealous Type,' listeners are prompted to press 1 for commentary on jealousy — 'You're passionate, you're furious, maybe just a little unhinged,' she offers — or 2 for thoughts on location-sharing in relationships. 'If it feels like a leash,' she advises, 'time to set some boundaries or maybe just block them.' The hotline's launch on Thursday, Aug. 7, also includes a bold visual transformation. Teasing 'Vie,' the 29-year-old artist appears nearly unrecognizable, channeling a dreamlike 1980s madam, with platinum blonde waves, exaggerated shoulder pads and bright blue eyeshadow. 'I feel like I've just been inspired mostly by the '80s a lot lately,' she told reporters at this year's Met Gala, where she first previewed 'Jealous Type' in a Marc Jacobs collaboration. The new single, produced by fellow Outside Lands performer Jack Antonoff of Bleachers and Ari Starace, does not yet have a release date, nor does 'Vie,' which Doja Cat has described as a more pop-forward follow-up to 2023's 'Scarlet.' Meanwhile, the artist jumped into the online discourse last week with a viral TikTok parody mocking Sydney Sweeney's controversial American Eagle ad. The clothing campaign, which features Sweeney alongside the tagline 'great jeans,' drew criticism for evoking the language of eugenics. In her spoof, Doja Cat mimics Sweeney's monologue in an exaggerated Southern accent. She captioned the clip, 'my jeans are blee.' It has racked up more than 33 million views. Doja Cat, known for hits like 'Need to Know' and 'Paint the Town Red,' has earned 16 Grammy nominations and won her first in 2022 for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with the song 'Kiss Me More,' featuring SZA. But she isn't the only Outside Lands performer channeling hotline energy. 'It's cocky, and it's a little petty in the cutest way,' the Ethiopian-Sudanese artist said in a statement. 'Your haters are always your biggest fans.'

Margaret Qualley bares all in NYC as she reveals why she ‘felt really lonely' before Jack Antonoff
Margaret Qualley is shedding more than just her clothes. In a new cover story for Cosmopolitan's Fall 2025 issue, published Monday, the 'Poor Things' starlet opened up about her husband, Jack Antonoff, and how she felt before they met. 'In every other relationship I've ever been in, I still felt really lonely because I wasn't with my person, and it's like I was seeking something,' Qualley, 30, began. 'I don't feel like that anymore. Jack makes me feel safe and comfortable.' Advertisement 9 Margaret Qualley on the cover of Cosmopolitan's new Fall 2025 issue. I can't be that for him – he'd see through it. So I just have to be myself. He's been the person I've pictured my whole life. And I'm not even saying that metaphorically.' Advertisement The 'Substance' actress also revealed how she and the Bleachers frontman, who married in 2023, first connected. 'Falling in love with Jack was the biggest feeling I've ever felt. We met right as COVID was ending, at the first party I'd been to,' Qualley shared. 9 Margaret Qualley posing for pictures around NYC for Cosmopolitan's new Fall 2025 issue. Although the 'Honey Don't!' actress admitted that she 'fell in love' with Antonoff, 41, shortly after they first met, she claimed that he was the one to say 'I love you' first. 'He did, obviously,' Qualley began. 'I'm very old-school about stuff like this. I would never put myself out there first.' 'I never text twice. I mean, now we're married and I can text him anything at any time. We're always having a conversation; he's like my human diary,' she added. 'But before we were together, at the beginning, I would always follow Southern girl etiquette.' 'My first crush was Adam Sandler in 'Happy Gilmore' and 'Big Daddy,' and I've been looking for that essence my whole life,' she said. 'I'm like, 'That's Jack.'' As for her idea of 'healthy love,' Qualley said that it is 'like there's always a ground below you' and that she makes a point to perform in projects that feature her concept of 'healthy love.' 'You can't fall very far because you're going to be caught,' the 'Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood' actress said. 9 Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley attend the 64th Annual Grammy Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 3, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada. 'The kind of thing I would be proud to show my kids one day.' Elsewhere during her interview with Cosmopolitan, Qualley opened up about her former model-turned-actress mother, Andie MacDowell. Advertisement More than 40 years before Qualley posed for photos around New York for the magazine's latest issue, MacDowell, 67, did the same for the outlet's September 1982 cover. Advertisement 'I moved to New York City at 16, when I got into a summer program at the American Ballet Theatre,' the 'My Salinger Year' star recalled. 'Although I didn't watch Dance Moms, that was very much the world I grew up in.' 'But I realized I was just not good enough to be a dancer, and I'll never be perfect at it,' she admitted. 'And if I'm not going to be the best, I don't think it's worth pursuing.' 9 Andie MacDowell, Rainey Qualley, Paul Qualley and Margaret Qualley at the NYC premiere of 'Just the Ticket' in 1998. I sent my mom a long email: 'Found a school. Got a job. What do you think?'' However, it wasn't always easy for Qualley, who didn't make her acting debut until the 2013 film 'Palo Alto' or gain real recognition until the HBO drama series 'The Leftovers' one year later. 9 Margaret Qualley attends the 30th annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar on February 7, 2025, in Santa Monica, California. 'Other kids were going home to their parents and their tutors, and I was at Paris Fashion Week with a chemistry or algebra textbook for a class that I was failing.' Advertisement 'I didn't have any friends. I didn't know anyone in the city,' Qualley continued. 'If a guy got on the elevator, I would get off.' 'I lived all of my 20s out of a suitcase, without any furniture. I had a mattress on the floor,' she concluded. 'And I became financially independent by the time I was 18, so I was super frugal, too.'
