Water service restored in Granada Hills and Porter Ranch neighborhoods, LADWP says

Water service has been restored to thousands of residents in the Granada Hills and Porter Ranch communities almost a week after service was disrupted, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power says. Residents were left without water after crews found a water valve that would not open while doing emergency repair work at a pump station that connects to a 10-million-gallon water tank. The LADWP says even though water service has been fully restored as of 2:37 a.m. on Monday, the Boil Water Notice remains in effect. They urge residents to continue to boil tap water before using it or to use bottled water instead. Use this link to access the LADWP's interactive map to determine if the Boil Water Notice applies to your home.

Boil water notice affecting over 1,600 homes in County Sligo is lifted

Uisce Éireann confirmed that, following consultation with the Health Service Executive, customers can now resume normal use of their supply. This follows remedial works and consistent satisfactory sampling results. The Boil Water Notice was issued on Saturday, 31 May to protect the health of approximately 1,665 customers following a mechanical issue which could have resulted in possible inadequate disinfection at the water treatment plant. The areas affected included Calry, Hazelwood, Colgah, Loughanelteen, Kilsellagh, Doonally, Shannon Eighter, Lisnalurg, Teesan, Ballinvoher, Springfield and Kintogher areas including Yeats Village. Uisce Éireann say drinking water experts worked hard to lift the notice for impacted customers as quickly and as safely as possible. Uisce Éireann's Kevin Love said: 'Uisce Éireann regrets the inconvenience that the Boil Water Notice caused. I would like to thank affected customers for their patience and support while our drinking water experts worked to lift it as quickly as it was safe to do so.' The Uisce Éireann Customer Contact Centre, open 24/7 on freephone 1800 278 278, is available to answer queries in relation to the lifting of this notice. Further information is available on
