In episode 1 of Taakat, Ranveer Allahbadia's new video series, which dropped on May 24, former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan gave a tour of his beautiful home. Shikhar, known for his explosive batting, showcased a prized collection of cricket memorabilia in the hour tour video – a cricket wall with everything from calm and composed MS Dhoni's gloves and bats signed by intense and passionate Virat Kohli and others. Also read | Step inside Yuvraj Singh's Goa bungalow perched up on a picturesque hill with the most stunning view, serene vibe: Pics The cricket wall seems to be a dedicated space in his home to celebrate his career and connections with fellow cricketers. Shikhar's memorabilia wall reflects his own experiences and achievements in the sport – the display included several Man of the Match trophies, stumps and other memorabilia reflecting Shikhar's illustrious career, particularly his standout performances. There is also a huge candid photo of Shikhar from a cricket field. Interesting lighting highlights the memorabilia, as a wooden shelf holds some of the items together. Shikhar's living room feels open and inviting with white walls, white curtains, and glass windows creating a bright, expansive atmosphere. The wooden doors add warmth, while the interesting artwork serves as the heart of the design — from a bold red Bollywood-inspired painting injecting energy to a floral pink piece adding softness and the majestic horse painting celebrating Shikhar's favourite animal. The mix of modern and cultural elements creates a unique, personalised space that feels both luxurious and lived-in. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows dominate one wall, framing views of the cityscape. The rest of the home is a bright, airy, and spacious sanctuary. The glass and wooden furniture and doors create a seamless flow between rooms, balancing warmth and transparency. Comfortable furniture and furnishings in neutral tones like whites and beiges enhance the airy vibe, while potted plants add a touch of greenery.

Tom Cruise Speaks Hindi, Says 'Aap Sabse Pyar Karta Hu' During Mission: Impossible Promotions
Last Updated: Tom Cruise praised Bollywood and spoke of his desire to make a Bollywood-inspired film while promoting The Final Reckoning. Before the release of Mission: Impossible 8, Tom Cruise shared a warm message for his Indian fans, remembering his visit to India and praising Bollywood. In a recent chat with BFI, he spoke about his goal to take Hollywood beyond the U.S. and explore different cultures and filmmaking styles. Cruise said he enjoys Indian movies and would love to try making a Bollywood-inspired film someday. He's currently promoting The Final Reckoning, which got a five-minute standing ovation at its premiere at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. In a video that's now going viral, Tom Cruise is seen flashing a wide smile and impressing fans with his solid Hindi as he says, 'Main aap sabse bohot pyaar karta hoon (I love you all a lot)." He continues, 'I love Bollywood films. It's something that I have grown up watching—musicals from different countries. The skill it takes to do what you all do is so natural. I love it when someone suddenly breaks into a song. It's beautiful." Tom Cruise spoke about his love for Bollywood while chatting with actress Avneet Kaur at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where she was promoting her film Love in Vietnam with Shantanu Maheshwari. Earlier, Avneet had shared photos with Cruise from their meeting at the London premiere of The Final Reckoning. She also visited the film's set last year, which started rumors that she might be part of the last Mission: Impossible movie, but nothing has been confirmed yet. News18 Showsha gave the film three and a half stars. An excerpt from the review read, 'What truly sets The Final Reckoning apart is its tone. It's not just an action blockbuster. It's an elegy. A goodbye. A thank-you. And somehow, despite all the chaos, it's also a reckoning with legacy, with sacrifice, with what it really means to be a hero when the world keeps moving the goalpost." Kolkata to celebrate gender-fluidity and identity through dance, drama, and more
Kolkata is all set to host a genre-fluid performance at The Creative Arts Academy . Created and performed by theatremaker Ahon Gooptu, Item is a blend of dance, drama, and drag that explores themes of identity, queerness, and belonging through a Bollywood-inspired lens. At the heart of the show is Zizou, who discovers parts of himself across shifting landscapes—from homes and nightclubs to the silver screens of Bollywood. Through his fierce and fabulous drag persona, Zenia Fauxbia Darling, he finds connection in memories, movement, and music. Drawing inspiration from Madhuri Dixit and Saroj Khan, the show is both a celebration of cultural memory and a journey toward selfhood. Rooted in Ahon's academic research on performing minoritarian identities, Item brings theory to the stage in bold, expressive ways. Following the performance, the audience will also be engaged in a community conversation to reflect, ask questions, and take part in meaningful dialogue around gender, race, sexuality, and performance.
