Wanderers launch 'Flexi-Ticket Membership' - What it means for supporters

Wanderers have launched the 'Flexi-Ticket Membership' ahead of the upcoming League One campaign. The decision has been made following a 'positive response' to the Flexi Ticket scheme last term, in which packages of four, eight or 12 games were available after Christmas. Now, supporters aged 18 or over can pay an upfront £150 fee and will then be able to buy an individual ticket for each home league fixture for £10 per game. 'We are thrilled to be able to launch this new Flexi-Ticket Membership initiative for 2025/26," head of ticketing Daniel Scott told the club site. 'When receiving feedback from supporters, we realised that there was a potential new offering that we could utilise to try and engage with a section of our fanbase that are unfortunately not able to purchase a season ticket, for a number of reasons. 'This was tested with the Flexi Ticket initiative from last season and saw a positive response, with fans enjoying the flexibility of picking the games that they would like to attend that fit around a work schedule or personal commitments. 'Now, with this evolved initiative for the new season, we are hoping it will help to bring more fans into the Toughsheet Community Stadium on a weekly basis. 'With more than 16,000 Season Ticket holders already signed up for next season, the response has been incredible once again from our supporters ahead of what we hope is to be a successful campaign.' It is worth noting that tickets on the Flexi Membership are only available in the North Stand, South Stand (if open) and the wing areas of the East and West Stands. There is no minimum number of games required for the Flexi Ticket membership. Steven Schumacher is gearing up for his first full season in charge at the Toughsheet Community Stadium after taking over at the end of January.

I'm A Celeb legend drops huge hint he's being lined up for Strictly – after turning down gig on under-fire Masterchef

AN I'm A Celebrity legend has hinted that he is being lined up for a stint on the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor after turning down another major show. Boxer Amir Khan, 38, caused a stir when he took up camp Down Under for I'm A Celebrity in 2017. 6 6 6 The star, who banked £400,000 for his first stint, later returned for the show's first ever All Stars edition in South Africa in 2023. Now, the boxing hunk has confessed that he has his eyes on more TV shows in the future but he's already had to turn some down due to his busy schedule. Confessing that he was considering learning how to dance for the BBC, Amir said: "I have been asked to do Strictly Come Dancing so maybe I would do that." But it is bad news for another BBC show as the boxing pro confirmed that he'd turned down under-fire Celebrity MasterChef after being unable to commit to the filming. The programme has been in the spotlight after both its hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode were forced out of the programme following findings in an investigation - first sparked amid allegations of inappropriate behaviour from host Gregg during his time on the programme. Amir added: "I have been asked to do Celebrity MasterChef recently, but I couldn't do the filming this year. "There are a lot of shows but it's hard to get the time. At the same time, I like doing shows." Amir starred in his own reality series, Big in Bolton, on the BBC alongside his wife Faryal and has now revealed that he is a big fan of starring on such programmes for a key reason. He said: "People get to see the real side of me and who you are. Let's see what happens but I am always down for doing things but only the top shows. "I've done a lot of the top shows like I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here twice and in my opinion it's the biggest show out there, it is massive." People started fights in cafes but terrifying gunpoint robbery was last straw, I had to leave UK, says Amir Khan Amir married his wife Faryal in New York in 2013 before returning to Bolton for a traditional Islamic wedding in front of a reported 4000 guests. The couple share two daughters together. However, their marriage has been plagued by split rumours - including a brief period where they called it quits in 2017 as well as a sex tape scandal. Last year, Amir spent more than £130,000 on a new Mercedes G Wagon for his long-suffering wife after being caught out yet again with a sexting scandal. The couple were reportedly "on the rocks" following a sexting scandal which saw the former boxing champ meet a woman for hotel sex over a period of four months. He had demanded "no holds barred" sex from the woman last year before the fling escalated. His wife found out about the betrayal before calling the woman and threatening to out her. 6 6 6

Paedo offered to pick teen up at school in Mercedes before being caught in sting

Andrew Bolton pleaded for explicit images during conversation on Snapchat - but the girl was actually a specially trained police officer. A car valeter was snared in an undercover police sting after he begged the underage decoy for explicit photographs. ‌ Andrew Bolton, 27, used social media to strike up a conversation with the 14-year-old youngster. ‌ The chat became highly sexualised with Bolton pleading for her to send him explicit images of herself. ‌ But the girl was actually a specially trained police officer working as part of a probe dubbed Operation Overview. The pair exchanged dozens of messages between June and October 2023 which even saw him attempt to arrange to meet up with the girl. At one point Bolton told her he would pick her up in his Mercedes A Class car and asked if she liked being a 'good girl' for him. ‌ He later had his home raided by police and a vile stash of 34 illicit images and 11 videos of children as young as five being abused were found on his phone. Bolton, of Bellshill, Lanarkshire, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted sexual communication, attempting to meet a child and permitting indecent photos of a child to be taken. ‌ Depute fiscal Neil Thomson told the court: "Early in the conversation she made it clear that she was 14 years old but he continued the conversation despite acknowledging her age. "He thereafter made a suggestion to meet with the girl and the message 'come see me after school' was exchanged and he informed her he would pick her up in his Mercedes A Class motor vehicle." Sheriff John Hamilton KC deferred sentence on the first offender until next month for reports and continued bail. He was placed on the sex offenders' register. Operation Overview was launched by police in 2022 and has so far led to the arrest of dozens of 'high-harm' threats to children in Scotland.

Former teacher who created award to showcase inspirational women honoured

The Bolton woman who created an awards ceremony 10 years ago has herself been given a national award by the Daily Mail for her inspiration. Gulnaz Brennan, a former teacher living in Blackrod, is well known as the driving force behind the annual SheInspires Awards. These recognise outstanding females locally, nationally and internationally. The Daily Mail asked its readers to nominate women across the country who 'go the extra mile for other people' and selected five to become Inspirational Women of the Year. Gulnaz won her award for her campaign to help women take greater control of their finances and their lives. The paper described how it was the realization that many of her friends let their partners control their finances that 'lit the feminist fire in her". "Another discovered after her relationship broke down that her ex had taken a loan out in her name. 'Saddled with his debt, she faced losing her home. It was heartbreaking.' She felt that 'too many women are ignorant about finances and uncomfortable talking about money, but it's vital to stay in charge of our finances and not let anyone – even a partner – take over". Gulnaz started her campaign Let's Talk Money and now runs monthly seminars, podcasts, webinars and networking events, helping thousands of women. 'A world where girls are financially empowered is a world where they have control over their futures. 'Being recognised with this award is a wonderful feeling. "It's a pat on the back – and a real motivator to do even more.'
