Jason Bonham recently announced a second leg of his 'Led Zeppelin Evening Tour' celebrating the 50th anniversary of his father's group's album 'Physical Graffiti.' This time around, the rockers will play the album in full — as well as other Zep classics — at 22 theaters, auditoriums, amphitheaters, casinos, state fairs and music festivals all over the Midwest and West Coast from Aug. 1-31. Notable stops on the run include Denver (Aug. 8), Anaheim (Aug. 21) and Seattle (Aug. 30). 'This is my favorite Led Zeppelin album of all time,' Bonham shared in a press release this past February. 'Being able to celebrate it the way we are planning on this tour is something I am extremely excited about. I can't wait for people to come out and see these shows and celebrate this extraordinary record with us.' While on the road this spring, Jason Bonham's LZE regularly performed 'Physical Graffiti' in full as advertised but slightly out of order, according to Set List FM. Once they made the way through the record, the group busted out Zeppelin favorites 'Good Times Bad Times,' 'Whole Lotta Love' and 'Rock and Roll.' Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Jason Bonham Led Zeppelin Evening shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for the upcoming second leg of 'Physical Graffiti Tour' is Friday, May 30. Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand. California launches wolf tracking tool to help prevent livestock conflict
California wildlife officials have launched a public mapping system that displays the approximate locations of GPS-collared gray wolves across the state, offering a new tool for livestock producers to protect their herds. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife announced the system's debut Thursday, emphasizing its purpose as a proactive measure to reduce wolf-livestock conflicts. The Wolf Location Automated Mapping System displays the last known position of each collared wolf within a nearly 4.5-square-mile hexagonal area. Users can click on the map to view general location data, the pack's name and the most recent transmission date. 'California's rural livestock producers living near wolves have faced real challenges as the wolf population grows in California. This is one more tool in our shared toolkit to protect their herds from wolf-livestock conflict,' said CDFW Director Charlton H. Bonham. Bonham vowed that the Department was focused on transparency and partnering with local communities and ranchers to ensure they 'have the knowledge they need to help prevent conflict.' The tool only tracks wolves fitted with GPS collars, which currently number 14. Collared wolves transmit data several times daily, and CDFW updates the map every morning. Specific sensitive data, such as den sites during pup season, will be withheld to help prevent harassment or illegal activity. Officials said the Department also reserved the right to shut down the system if the data is misused. The Center for Biological Diversity welcomed the new system, noting its potential to improve coexistence between wolves and ranchers. 'I'm hopeful that livestock operators will responsibly use the map to head off conflict,' said Senior Wolf Advocate Amaroq Weiss. 'Livestock-wolf conflicts are rare but both ranchers and wolves will benefit if we make them rarer still by giving a heads up when wolves are in the area so ranchers can act responsibly.' California's wolf population has been steadily growing since OR-7, a collared male from Oregon, crossed into the state in 2011. Wolves are listed as endangered under both state and federal law, and it is illegal to kill them except in defense of human life. For additional information, click here. Rare Drum Artifact From Led Zeppelin's John Boham On Auction Block
John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, John Bonham and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin (Photo by Jeffrey ... More Mayer/WireImage) A rare drum piece from late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham is attracting big attention at auction. Heritage Auctions is auctioning the only known bass drumhead featuring Bonham's personal symbol. The auction is April 17 and online bids are currently being accepted on the Heritage Auctions website. As of this publication, bidding is up to $21,000 on the rare rock music artifact. Bonham, singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones formed Led Zeppelin in 1968 and the group disbanded in 1980 after the drummer's untimely death at 32. According to Heritage Auctions, the drumhead featuring Bonham's symbol of interlocking rings was used throughout Led Zeppelin's iconic 1973 and 1975 North American tours. 'The drumhead earned rock immortality in The Song Remains the Same, the band's iconic concert film shot at Madison Square Garden in July 1973,' a Heritage press release noted. 'It last saw the stage during the group's legendary five-night run at London's Earls Court in May 1975, and then disappeared into storage.' The John Bonham drumhead featuring his personal symbol is on the auction block. Per Heritage Auctions, the iconic John Bonham drumhead with his symbol resurfaced in 1987 when Edwin Shirley Shipping— a touring company for the biggest acts in rock music — was clearing its warehouse. During a bonfire set to destroy abandoned gear at the warehouse, Heritage noted, Bonham's drumhead was rescued from the flames. 'John Bonham is widely considered the greatest rock drummer of all time,' said Garry Shrum, Heritage Auctions' director of Music Memorabilia and Concert Posters said in a statement. 'And this is the most significant Bonham artifact ever to come to public auction. It's astonishing that it survived – and now it's here.' Drummer John Bonham (1948-1980), playing a Ludwig Vistalite see-through acrylic perspex drum kit, ... More performs live on stage during a concert by English rock band Led Zeppelin on the third of three nights at Madison Square Garden, New York City on 29th July 1973. The concert movie 'The Song Remains the Same' was filmed over the three nights from 27th to 29th July at the venue. (Photo by David Redfern/Redferns) Heritage noted in its press release about the Bonham bass drumhead that 'with authentication, photo matching and provenance included, this museum-worthy relic could set a new auction record for Bonham memorabilia.' The timing of the auction, coincidentally, comes just after a new documentary about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group — Becoming Led Zeppelin — debuted on digital streaming. The film is the first-ever documentary about Led Zeppelin authorized by the band and includes new interviews with Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones. Rated PG-13, Becoming Led Zeppelin opened in an IMAX-only engagement on Feb. 7 and expanded to additional theaters on Feb. 14. Directed by Bernard MacMahon and Allison McGourty, Becoming Led Zeppelin debuted on digital streaming via premium video on demand on April 4. The auction for Bonham's bass drumhead ends on April 17.

Chattanooga wins N.I.T. title, the first for the Southern Conference as well
Indianapolis-(WSPA)-Garrison Keesler's jumper with 12 seconds remaining in overtime put Chattanooga ahead to stay Thursday night and the Mocs held on for an 85-84 victory over UC-Irvine to claim the program's, and the Southern Conference's, first N.I.T. crown. Jurian Dixon attempted to win it for UC-Irvine with one second remaining but he missed a lay-up attempt. Chattanooga, which was denied a potential SoCon tourney title and subsequent trip to the NCAA Tourney when it lost in the semi-finals to Furman, earns the first major national postseason tourney crown for both the school and conference. The Mocs (29-9) and Anteaters (32-7) went back-and-forth for most of the game after Chattanooga opened up an early 8-0 advantage. Trey Bonham's mid-court jumper to beat the halftime buzzer put Chattanooga up by one at the break, 38-37. The Anteaters built an eight-point lead early in the second half. Honor Huff's three free throws with 16 seconds remaining in regulation put the Mocs back in front at 76-74. Myles Che, who played at Chattanooga as a freshman last season, then hit the first two of his three free throws to tie the game for UC-Irvine. A missed lay-up and three-point attempt by Chattanooga's Collin Mulholland in the final five seconds prevented the Mocs from winning in regulation. Bonham matched Mulholland's 19 points to share the team lead while Keesler and Huff added 14 points each. It was the final game together as a backcourt for Bonham and Huff, who began their careers together in 2021 as VMI teammates under current Chattanooga head coach Dan Earl and resumed playing on the same team at Chattanooga last season.
