Egypt to Host New Turkish Porcelain Factory in Alexandria

H-Tayea The Turkish company Kar's Bonna Porcelain has announced a major investment in Egypt, with plans to establish a 100 million US dollar production facility in the Burg Al Arab area of Alexandria. The company is moving swiftly to begin operations as soon as possible. Bonna, one of the most prominent names in Turkey's porcelain manufacturing sector, brings with it a reputation for excellence in design, quality, and industrial scale. This investment marks a significant step forward in strengthening Egypt's position in the global ceramics and porcelain market. Once operational, the facility is expected to become a key player in both regional and international porcelain supply chains. According to the company's strategic plan, 90 percent of the plant's production will be dedicated to export markets, while the remaining 10 percent will be directed toward the domestic Egyptian market. This export-driven model aligns well with Egypt's broader economic goals to increase industrial output and boost foreign currency inflows through manufacturing. I am confident that Egyptian authorities will provide Bonna with the support and facilitation needed to bring this project to life. Egypt has continued to position itself as a destination for international investors looking for industrial strength, export connectivity, and market access across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. During a recent conversation with Erbil Aşkan, General Manager of Bonna Porcelain, I was briefed on the progress being made at the site. The discussions reflected the company's serious commitment to delivering a high-quality, high-capacity production facility in record time. I also had the opportunity to share thoughts on how this investment could contribute to broader goals, including job creation, technology transfer, and strengthening economic ties between Egypt and Turkey read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Local Republicans line up behind Anthony Bonna after his announcement of state House run

Port St. Lucie City Councilman Anthony Bonna, a 37-year-old Republican, will run in the next election to succeed term-limited state Rep. Toby Overdorf, R-Palm City, in the Florida House of Representatives. The first entrant into the 2026 race to represent District 85, which includes parts of Martin and St. Lucie counties, Bonna already has a number of notable names throwing their support behind him. Co-hosting his first fundraiser — to be held Wednesday at the Floridian Golf Club in Palm City — are a number of local elected officials. The list includes all of Bonna's colleagues on the City Council — Mayor Shannon Martin, Vice Mayor Jolien Caraballo, Councilwoman Sephanie Morgan and Councilman David Pickett — along with members of both the Martin and St. Lucie county commissions — Ed Ciampi, James Clasby, Jamie Fowler, Stacey Hetherington, Larry Leet and Erin Lowry. Also co-hosting are St. Lucie County Sheriff Richard Del Toro, State Attorney Tom Bakkedahl, Public Defender Diamond Litty, St. Lucie County Clerk of Court Michelle Miller and St. Lucie County School Board Member Troy Ingersoll. The chairman of the Republican Party of Florida also recently took to social media in support of Bonna. "My friend @anthonybonna has been a great part of the @FloridaGOP team! Excited to see him announce this run," party Chair Evan Power posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. In a statement on social media announcing his run, Bonna, who had been an elector for Donald Trump in the 2024 election, said he hopes to push for the president's agenda while in the Legislature. "This campaign is about making sure we execute on President Trump's America First agenda here in Florida," Bonna wrote on Facebook. "That means bringing down costs, especially on property insurance, protecting school choice, growing our economy, investing in the critical infrastructure our area needs and standing strong against illegal immigration." Before his 2021 election to the City Council in a special election, Bonna was once a St. Lucie County commissioner. He was appointed to the commission in 2018 by Gov. Rick Scott, but lost to Democrat challenger Sean Mitchell later that year. Bonna also has been the Republican committeeman for St. Lucie County since 2016 and currently chairs the state party's committeeman and committeewoman caucus.
