I know how Martin Boyle can become Hibs double hero but beware a Midtjylland reaction
It's a massive chance for the capital club to take a step towards the league phase with the Easter Road blockbuster Wouldn't it be great if Martin Boyle becomes both a Hibs centurion and a European hero at once? The Australia livewire is sitting on 99 goals in green and white with the chance to hit the ton in style in tomorrow's Europa League qualifier. Boyle is the one man Midtjylland will not want to see charging at them again when the sides meet for the return leg in Leith with the score balanced at 1-1. The 32-year-old's blistering pace caused chaos in Denmark and he was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet after VAR ruled out his strike. Stick one in the channel and Boyle's after it in a flash. He gives Hibs a brilliant out ball and he's not just about pace these days either – he's bulked up, holds it in better now and gets the team up the pitch when they need it most. He's a big-game player too. You've seen it over the years, in so many big games, that he pops up with the goal And there would be nothing better than bagging the winner in a European tie in front of a packed Easter Road. His 100th goal is coming. It's only a matter of time but I hope it is against the Danes as I'm backing Hibs to go through. It will be tight but I can see them progressing with a 2-1 win. Hibs did brilliantly over in Denmark, even if the game did not quite go as expected. You might have thought there would be more chances, maybe a few more goals, but it turned into a tight battle. Looking at Midtjylland's record over the last few seasons – getting to the knockout stages last term – I thought they were pretty poor on the night. I don't know if that was the heat or because it's so early in the season but you'll see a better Midtjylland team tomorrow night Neither side created much in the first leg. It was scrappy and bitty, which suited Hibs just fine. The second half was littered with yellow cards, stoppages and scuffles, which knocked the home side right out of their rhythm. So to come away with the tie 1-1 was a brilliant result. David Gray would have bitten your hand off before the game to bring that back to a packed home game with a real chance of going through. It was a really disciplined defensive display from Hibs. The back three stood tall all night, barely gave Midtjylland a sniff and dealt with most things that came their way. Behind them, keeper Jordan Smith looked assured and calm. Never flustered, he was always in control. It was the kind of solid, no-nonsense performance you need in Europe. Midtjylland didn't impress much on the night – they were there for the taking. But make no mistake, they will be better at Easter Road. You expect a big reaction. A special mention goes to Dylan Levitt, who was tremendous and showed real quality on the ball all night. Plenty of Hibs fans were not convinced when he arrived two years ago but he turned it on in the second half of last season. In the first competitive game of this one, he was right up there again as one of Hibs' top performers. Over in Denmark, Hibs sat deep in a low block and Midtjylland did not have the creativity to break them down. It will be a different story when the side are reunited. With more than 20,000 fans roaring them on, Hibs will be expected to go for it. The first goal could be massive. Get it, get the crowd going and it's game on. I've played on a big European night at Easter Road — AEK Athens, years back — and when that place is bouncing, it drives you on. It can make all the difference. It's always difficult to juggle European games with domestic football but hopefully Hibs have the opportunity to do so over the next few months. They also face a tough test in their Premiership opener on Sunday as Hibs make their way to Dens Park. There's already pressure being piled on Dundee boss Steven Pressley, which seems daft given how early it is and how they've actually started. But do not expect Hibs to show any sympathy. Tomorrow could go the distance – extra-time, even penalties – but Hibs have the squad, the strength and the depth to handle both fronts and start the league campaign with a bang. I remember thinking last year that Gray might not survive the trip to Dens. That match in November finished 4-1 and it felt bleak. But it shows just how far this team have come. What they can't afford to be now is complacent because if they are, Dundee will punish them.

Horror Hit "28 Years Later" Sets Streaming Date
Yara Sameh Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodi Comer and Ralph Fiennes' hit horror thriller "28 Years Later" is coming to digital streaming this week. The third film in the horror film franchise that began with "28 Days Later" in 2002, "28 Years Later" reunites the original film's director, Danny Boyle, and its screenwriter, Alex Garland. The film was released in theaters on June 20. The official logline for "28 Years Later" reads, 'It's been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.' According to a listing on Prime Video, "28 Years Later" will be released on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, July 29. When it is released, "28 Years Later" will also be available on several digital platforms, including Apple TV, Fandango at Home and YouTube. The film is still playing in theaters. So far, "28 Years Later" has earned $70 million domestically and $80 million internationally for a worldwide box office tally of $150 million. The film had a $60 million production before prints and advertising costs, per The Numbers. While those who have the Rage Virus in "28 Years Later" have zombie-like qualities, Danny Boyle insisted in an interview with TIME Magazine before the film's release in theaters that the antagonists are not zombies. 'We had this thing about, 'No, they're not zombies. They're infected,'' Boyle told TIME. 'We wanted them to behave in a different way physically, but they also weren't undead. They could die and they will die, but so will you if they catch you.' In "28 Years Later", Aaron Taylor-Johnson's character, Jamie, takes his 12-year-old son, Spike (Alfie Williams), to the mainland where the infected roam over the objections of his wife and the boy's mother, Isla (Jodie Comer). The trip to the mainland is a rite of passage where the younger people sheltered by their island community learn to hunt the infected. Bold told TIME that part of the storyline was influenced by the coronavirus pandemic. 'When COVID first happened, we wore gloves, we disinfected groceries,' Boyle told TIME. 'But gradually over time, you start taking more risks. You don't stay in that super alert stage. You evolve. And so it is in 28 Years. They begin to take risks. Jamie takes his 12-year-old son to the mainland even though, as the mom says, that's f---ing crazy.' Hibs great eyes 'ideal scenario' in goal century chase on Euro glory night

Hibs skipper Martin Boyle has laid out the 'ideal scenario' for bagging his 100th goal for the club on a massive European night at Easter Road. But he'd gladly pass up on the personal honour if someone else's moment of glory proved the difference in getting David Gray's men into the next round of the Europa League. The Hibees stunned mighty Midtjylland in the first leg of their second qualifying round tie, taking a shock early lead through summer signing Jamie McGrath and only conceding a late equaliser due to a combination of individual brilliance and an unlucky deflection. They welcome the Danes – Champions League group stage veterans and regulars in the latter phases of the Europa League – to Edinburgh on Thursday night with the tie delicately poised at 1-1. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Stand-in skipper Boyle, still deputising for injured club captain Joe Newell, remains stuck on 99 competitive goals for Hibs. Despite thinking he'd cracked triple figures with a disallowed strike – after a lengthy VAR check to confirm an offside flag – at the MCH Arena in Herning last week. Naturally, the Socceroos striker would take any goal, anywhere, if it meant becoming a centurion. But he admits that this week's all-or-nothing showdown in front of a packed home crowd would be the perfect stage for another career-defining moment. 'It would be the ideal scenario,' said Boyle, the veteran – who had a one-year extension clause in his contract triggered just before the end of last season – adding: 'But as long as we get across the line then I'm equally as happy. 'I've had a few last season where the VAR checks took a while so ... But if it's not to be, fingers crossed I can get it next week. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Veteran forward still causing 'nightmares' for defenders 'I feel sharp, I feel good. I have a willingness to run and press teams. The passion that I have, I'll always have it. If I can cause defenders a bit of nightmares, then good. 'This is huge for the club, it's huge for us. We've worked all last season to get to this stage, and we really want to achieve something. 'We've put ourselves in a great position, a tough place to come. It's all on the line next week.' Manning the ramparts at home 'fortress' As Hibs dragged themselves off the foot of the Scottish Premiership to finish third in the table last season, they put together a formidable home record against even the strongest teams. That, insists Boyle, should give his team-mates confidence as they welcome Midtjylland to Edinburgh. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'Yes, I feel like we turned Easter Road into a bit of a fortress last season,' he said, adding: 'After Christmas, we were really dominant there, getting after teams and hurting them. 'I'm sure we'll certainly take the game to them next week and try to be a little bit better than we were, a little bit more creative. Defensively, we were outstanding. We've got that week's break, which is good. So we'll go into next week with a lot of confidence. 'We can take a lot of positivity from that first leg. Defensively we were really good, got behind the ball, defended the ball really well. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'They put a lot of crosses in, a lot of long throws, but we defended it really well. Then we had chances on the break, maybe just didn't get the right pass or the right execution. 'But we can take a lot of positivity, we did create a lot of chances and scored a good goal. We'll take that to Easter Road next week, so happy days.'

2 hot dog pros share 3 classic styles, tips to recreate the best version at home
We're officially in the dog days of summer, and two guys serving up loaded Vienna beef franks have the perfect savory fix for the seasonal occasion. After more than a decade of experience working in the New York restaurant scene, Jarret Kerr and Joachim Boyle combined their culinary forces to open Dog Day Afternoon, a small oasis in South Slope Brooklyn dedicated to hot dogs. Boyle, an Illinois-native from Oak Park, has spent the better part of his life perfecting the art of the iconic Chicago dog, known for its abundant, vibrant toppings of yellow mustard, bright green sweet pickle relish, chopped white onions, sliced tomato, a dill pickle spear, sport peppers and celery salt. Kerr, on the other hand, has admittedly never even been to Chicago, but has also never met a hot dog he didn't like. Plus, with a resume of over 15 years that extends to every restaurant job from busser to general manager at some of the top eateries in Brooklyn, he was primed for the position of co-founder. The pair joined "Good Morning America" on Friday to share three delicious recipes for a truly great hot dog, along with tips for those looking to recreate them at home. First up, the Chicago dog. Boyle and Kerr use a natural casing Vienna beef hot dog inside a poppy seed potato roll, then top it with the aforementioned accoutrements. Second, is the all-beef chili cheese dog. Again, starting with a natural casing Vienna beef hotdog, they add a house made beef chili -- which has deep aromatics from ancho and New Mexico chilis that get cooked down to a broth with added pureed chipotle pepper, garlic, onion and ground beef -- and top it with cheddar cheese sauce, diced white onion, diced scallion and -- for an extra kick -- a serrano pepper hot sauce. Lastly, Boyle and Kerr shared their take on the classic New York dog. "We serve this with yellow or spicy brown mustard or house made caramelized onions and sauerkraut," the co-owners told "GMA." "Instead of making the classic Sabrett white onions in sickly sweet ketchup sauce, we make the caramelized onions to add sweetness without over powering." Tips to make the best hot dog at home Steaming is ideal "If you have a simple rice cooker, you fill the hull with about three cups of water and let it steam, use the basket insert and put your dogs on there, cover and steam for about five minutes until dogs are plump and juicy," they said. "If you don't have a steamer, or a steamer basket for your pot, simply bring some water to a boil in a larger pot and place a colander or strainer in the pot just above the water line and cover." Grilled to get a little char "For extra char, butterfly your dog (split down the middle length wise) and place on the grill for maximum grilling surface area," they suggest. "If you have a small cooking weight or press, you can even press the dog down so it get extra crispy attention." If it ain't broke, boil it "When all else fails, simply boiling the dogs works too," they said. "Especially effective with a natural casing dog so that the juices and flavor doesn't cook out."
