Brazen Oasis fan selling 'atmosphere and grass' from first Heaton Park gig for £7k

Fans wanting to own a little piece of Brit Pop music history may have to dig deep to own a near empty plastic soft drink bottle that has a connection to one of the Oasis tour nights Oasis fans have begun bidding to buy grass and the bottled "atmosphere" of their recent Heaton Park concerts in Manchester, with tatty items from the gigs attracting thousands of pounds of interest. This year, brothers Liam, 52, and Noel Gallagher, 58, thrilled fans as they kicked off their 41-date Oasis Live '25 Tour. The brothers, who famously fell out during their 2009 tour, buried the hatchet after vowing never to perform together again and are now enjoying rave reviews from music critics and fans as they play concerts in front of packed-out venues. Last year, when they tour was first announced, countless fans were left fuming as virtual queues for tickets spiraled out of control and ticket prices soared due to demand - with many spending a fortune to secure tickets to the concerts, and many more left bitterly disappointed as they waited for hours only for the tickets to be snapped up in front of them. Now, some Oasis fans are proving they have more money than sense as an empty soft drink bottle stuffed with grass allegedly from one of the recent Manchester gigs has been put online for auction - and attracted surprising sums from those desperate to own a little bit of Brit Pop history. Over recent days, Liam and Noel have enjoyed homecoming performances at Heaton Park - and will have played in front of more than 300,000 after gigs on July 11, 12, 16, 19 and 20. A cunning fan has taken to eBay to offer those who didn't attend the change to own a part of one of the gigs. The seller is selling a Pepsi bottle that is empty save for some blades of grass that have been stuffed into the plastic container. The offering also includes a green wristband, worn on the first of the five nights at Heaton Park. The sale description simply reads: "Atmosphere And Grass From Heaton Park Oasis Concert (11th July 2025, Homecoming)" - with the description described as "good" and a strict no refunds policy. Despite being arguably worthless, the items have thus far attracted six bids, pushing the price to more than £7,700. The most expensive tickets available for the Oasis gigs upon first sale were £506.25 packages that included access to a pre-show party, exhibition, and seated concert experience; however, resale tickets fetched thousands when sold online. Oasis: What's Their Story? An unofficial celebration magazine on sale now! A few simple words on social media on August 27 in 2024 were enough to spark pandemonium among Oasis fans and were the catalyst for the most eagerly awaited UK gigs of all time. This special unofficial magazine, available to order here, marks the reunion and honours the band both now and down the years with our incredible archive of photos and interviews - and with exclusive reviews and photographs of their first show! So far, the Oasis gigs have attracted positive reviews from fans and critics alike, with the Heaton Park gigs particularly attracting glowing reports. The Mirror's very own Daniel Bird attended the opening night at the Manchester venue, and described the evening as "electric". He wrote: "Walking out at Heaton Park, you could never have imagined that there was once a feud between the two siblings. Putting on a united front, the two legends walked out to their 2000 track, F***in' In The Bushes, to a crowd of 80,000 people, with the atmosphere instantly becoming electric." And Showbiz Editor Mark Jefferies also wrote positively of the Heaton Park gigs - admitting he was blown away by the performance. He recounted: "On Saturday night at the end of the show the brothers hugged and then Noel pointed over to his brother in a clear show of admiration and to tell the crowd just how much he loved Liam's performance. It was a shocking sight, the total opposite of their old rows on stage." Having managed to attend three of the first four gigs of the Oasis tour - which began on 4 July in Wales, Mark added: "Would I like more stage interaction? Of course. And some of the lines on stage are now pre-planned which doesn't feel very Oasis. But the Gallaghers have grown up, and like their mature fans who can only manage to jump up and down for the odd song in three these days, this style of set is what they need to make things work." Oasis will be on the road for most of the rest of the year as they thrill fans around the globe. After taking on the UK, the Gallagher brothers will jet to North America, Asia, Australia and more. The final night of their tour is scheduled for Sunday 23 November when they will play at the MorumBIS stadium in São Paulo, Brazil. viagogo and resale tickets Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.

We told recently told how Oasis fans were branded 'drunk', 'lairy', 'fat' and 'old' in secret safety briefings ahead of their three megagigs. Snooty Edinburgh council officials also said punters at August's shows will be mainly 'middle-aged men' who 'take up more room'. Papers released under freedom of information laws reveal fears that acts will pull out of Edinburgh's world-famous arts festival due to possible clashes with 'rowdy' punters heading to the Britpop legends' shows nearby. It comes as revellers are expected to break booze records at Murrayfield. The 70,000 fans at each show would need to neck three pints each to eclipse previous sales. And DF Concerts expect a 'spirited audience' with 'medium to high intoxication' at the Oasis gig. Figures suggest fans could guzzle more than 120,000 drinks each night, based to historic sales figures from other mega concerts at the venue.

The 90s are back: Britpop fashion makes a bold return

Whether we like it or not, Britpop fashion is back. Think scruffy street style with a brash British designer flair. Kangol bucket hats pulled down over bushy eyebrows and broody-moody eyes. Tight fitting Fred Perry polo shirts or Manchester City football jersey stuck into baggy jeans with a Fred Perry Harrington parka jacket and a can of cider is the mandatory style uniform of the '90s 'Brat Pack'. Liam Gallagher with his mother Peggy in 1995. Pic:So ahead of the Oasis gigs in Croke Park in August the shops are already stuffed with Noel and Liam Gallagher fashion -inspired gear for men and women. So before you rock out to the 90's band let's take a look back to fashion decades past and check out what's in store for style conscious boys and girls heading to see Oasis and Blur over the next few months. The sports store carries a throwback line of Fred Perry polos in a multitude of colours that are unisex so what's good for the boys also looks great on girls. Liam Gallagher with Blur's Damon Albarn. The slouchy oversized hooded shell Harrington jacket made famous by Bur frontman Matt Albarn , has made an almighty comeback. In Fact so popular is the Harrington jacket that fashion brand Fred Perry has reissued a replica of Albarn 's iconic oversized beige parka ahead of the bands comeback tour. And footballs coming home, it's coming home. Is football ever away is more the question. Liam and Noel Gallagher of Oasis. But for the die hard Brit Pop fans a bona fide Manchester City Brother sponsored jersey is the coveted clobber for concert goers. An array of online vintage stores and Amazon are flogging 90's era Man City jerseys just for the Oasis reunion occasion. Liam Gallagher of Oasis at the Glastonbury Festival in 1995. Pic: Lindsay Magos/REX/Shutterstock In the footwear department the shoes of the season have to be scruffy three striped Adidas trainers that are suitable mucky to match the unkempt Oasis look. And for the more flush of cash Burberry and Vivienne Westwood are the only British designer brands to be seen dead or alive in this summer for dedicated followers of Brit Pop fashion.

Robbie Williams responds to Glastonbury surprise set rumours after he fuelled speculation with cryptic post

Robbie Williams has responded to rumours that he will be performing a secret set at Glastonbury festival. The singer, 51, fuelled speculation that he would make a shock appearance at the Somerset-based festival with a cryptic post on Friday. However, just hours later, Robbie took to Instagram once again to set the record straight. Leaving fans disappointed, he clarified: 'I'm not performing this year.' Instead, he encouraged fans to go and see other artists, listing The 1975, Busta Rhymes, Self Esteem, Charli XCX and Reverend and the Makers. The Angels hitmaker had sparked speculation that he'd be performing at Worthy Farm with a cryptic Instagram post. He uploaded a snap of a plaque which marked 30 years since he partied with Oasis at the iconic festival after leaving Take That. The plaque read: '1995. Robbie Williams entered this area without accreditation, authorisation or alignment with prevailing taste. 'His presence was uninvited, unofficial and ultimately inevitable.' The singer, who also headlined Glastonbury in 1998, captioned the post: '30 years later…' He also added a picture of a wooden fence reading 'Welcome to Glastonbury,' and switched his profile pic to a throwback image of himself headlining the event in an iconic red-and-white tracksuit. Robbie is currently on his BritPop tour with a slot at Belgium music festival TW Classic scheduled for tonight, but his social media antics drove fans crazy. 'Either you're doing the secret set this afternoon or you're playing up to the hype it could be you,' said one user. 'Tease,' another added, and one user questioned, 'Patchwork?!', suggesting the Patience star might be touted to be the mystery band Patchwork, set to headline the Pyramid Stage at 6.15pm tonight. Other guesses of who the secret act could be have included Oasis, Mumford And Sons, Sam Fender and Harry Styles. Fans speculated on Reddit: 'There's two surprises on the Pyramid Stage, one Friday one Saturday. Talk of Mumford and Sons on the Friday and I'm praying for Pulp on the Saturday.' Another user suggested: Haim probably.' Other users speculated: 'A massively long shot, but could it be Oasis to officially kick-start their comeback? Only a 35-minute set, which would probably be like 4 songs with a lot of talking. Which feels appropriate', 'Patchwork? Oasis I know they've said no, but that doesn't carry a great deal of weight... Patchwork... Patching things up... might be a bit of a reach but MY GOD it would be good', 'Ed Sheeran I think. Been doing secret sets all year. Just popping up', 'Pulp would fit. New album which is great. Gap in tour. Headlined twice before. Band of the people', 'Hopefully Sam Fender, heard about Harry Styles aswell'.
